Super 8 San Bruno/San Francisco Airport

proximity to airport is a plus. free airport shuttle is extremely useful, but is only available at certain hours of the day, need to check with hotel. otherwise, staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.

The hotel is about a mile from a very large mall. It is easy to walk to or just take a taxi. There are decent restaurants within walking distance and also at the mall. The airport shuttle was great! It runs every half hour, but just be aware that there are additional hotels where it picks up so don't plan your shuttle service for the last minute. The […] continental breakfast was sufficient. The room is excellent condition - clean and tidy and comfortable (i consider myself hard to please abt cleanliness and tidiness. Free wifi and free breakfast! Free shuttle from SFO although it only runs until 12:30a and we unfortunately missed it and had to take a cab - costed $15... overall great experience! highly recommend!

Surprised to find an up to date hotel room in a semi-"rough" part of the neighborhood. Nice furnishings and a decent breakfast. Overall, a nice enough place for a stop on the way to the rest of my trip. Can't expect much more from a Super 8.

My family and I spent 3 nights here while we explored San Francisco. The price was right - better than the ones closer to Fisherman's Wharf. The room was small, but it had 2 queen beds and everyone in my group was pleased with the comfort of the beds and pillows. The breakfast was good - apples and bananas, waffles, oatmeal, toast, cereal - good variety. […] As there are only 3 tables with chairs in the breakfast room, it does get crowded, so you may want to take your breakfast back up to your room. My only complaint was that, although the room was reserved for 4, we were consistently given only 3 washcloths and towels. This was easily fixed by a trip to the front desk, though. The hotel was a pleasant surprise. Clean hotel/rooms and up to date appliances. Microwave & fridge in your room as well as free wifi and free parking. There were restaurants/Walgreens within walking distance (very good Chinese food at Ming's). San Fran was only about a 15 minute drive. Nice hotel near the airport. Very close to the 101 and 280 so it's convenient to get to SF or go down the pennisula. There's a Walgreens less than a block away so that you can get miscellaneous items you may need. It's also a very short drive to Tanforan mall. Great venue for the price. Close to airport. The staff was very professional. The room was large, clean, and the bed was confortable. I would stay again during my next visit to San Francisco and recommend to others.

Comfortable hotel great for a stop over, ate next door at the Mexican Don Pico, good food & friendly staff, not cheap. Staff in hotel very friendly & efficient.. Stopped on way back to airport, service just the same with different staff.

The hotel is in decent shape, and the desk service is acceptable but their shuttle service is a joke. They give you a 15 min. wait when calling for the shuttle but every time it took 45 min. or more before they showed up. On a direct drive they are onlt 10 min. from the airport. There are no shops and few restaurants near this hotel.

As long as you have your own transportation, you aren't going to find better value anywhere nearby. This was a great deal, good hotel, ample parking, lots of stores and gas stations nearby, conveniently located near the interstate. Breakfast was provided and parking was free. Staff was friendly.

We were very satisfied with our stay at this motel. We were not interested in a 5 star motel as our intention was to be out and about San Francisco. All of our needs were met, the staff was very helful and friendly. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We were please to find that we actually had everything we were promised.; like internet […] in the room, coffee maker, microwave and refridgerator. This is by far the Taj Mahal of Super 8 Motels. It was on par with or better than a lot of the Vegas Casino hotels. Would seriously recommend this to anyone looking to save money but not comfort.

Ideal for the airport and a good rate for a comfortable hotel. if you're just in need of an overnight stay at the SFO airport,you're fine (free shuttle) but if you're thinking of staying here and commute to SFO by BART, don't ! Too far away from BART,so if you take BART at the airport (only way is to go there by shuttle) you pay double, than if you take it at San Bruno! Surrounding area offers nothing worth to […] mention. This was the best Super 8 I have ever stayed at. The room was very clean and looked cared for. The lobby was nice and the employees very gracious. They also had a nice contential breakfast.

Check in was fast and easy. Awesome to check in to a very nice clean room and to also find a fridge and a microwave!

I can't wait to return. The other reviews, bad ones, are totally wrong! We loved the place! We will recommend to any of our friends who will be going to San Francisco!

Attended a 2 day conference and booked Super 8 with "low budget" in mind. Room was super clean, plenty of hot water with good pressure, free wi-fi, and firm comfortable bed. No noise issues, staff was courteous, and try Don Rico's Mexican restaurant next door--a local favorite. Microwave and fridge was a plus. I had a 12 hour layover in San Fransisco while returning from vacation in Asia. This was too long to spend at the airport for me so I booked a room at the Super 8 San Bruno. Confortable king bed with 32" flat screen tv. Wendy's is just a few steps away in case you are hungry in the middle of the night. Target is about 20 minutes walk (train station - San Bruno). DO NOT USE THE PARK AND RIDE SERVICE! Fool me once shame on you - fool me twice shame on me. I used the park and ride service a few months ago because the price looked good. The hotel stay was fine, and everything seemed to be going well after returning from our trip - after landing at the airport, we called the Super 8 Motel and were told the shuttle […] would arrive in 15 - 20 minutes. 30 minutes later we called again, we were told 10 more minutes. 20 minutes later they still did not come. We ended up taking a taxi back to the motel. The front desk fellow apologized and that was the end of it. Well, like I said, the price seemed good and the stay at the motel wasn't bad, so I tried it again last week. Arrived back from my trip at 10:00pm at the SFO airport, called the motel, was told 15 - 20 minutes...again...1 hour later...They did not pick me up!! Ended up having to take a taxi!! Hotel great, shuttle service to SFO great. Surrounding location, not so great. Got in late, not much in terms of getting food. Wendy's next door, IHOP about two bocks away. Did not feel it was safe to walk that far at night.

Occasionally we need a place to stay overnight when we come home to visit our friends and family. This Super 8 was very pleasant, the location if perfect and the people who work there are great.

I've stayed here before and I liked it but, I had forgotten that the shuttle only comes on demand. You must use the telephone at the shuttle stop and they will have one sent. Otherwise you can be out in the cold for a long time, waiting !

This hotel is perfect for its category, and well above expectations. The rooms are modern and functional; staff is really nice; and breakfast is a wonderful help for anyone needing to catch a plane. Their airport shuttle is efficient and included in the price. And they have park-sleep-fly privileges for travelers. I have stayed at higher-cost hotels […] and had inferior experiences by far. There's a Mexican restaurant practically next door, and a brew pub at a nearby mall if you have to have later dinner. I'm sold on this place and have stayed there three times now. Leer más

This hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and friendly. For the price it's a great deal!

We wanted a decent hotel close to the airport that offered a shuttle and this fit the bill perfectly. It was nice, clean and a great value for the price. There is a BJs and Chili's close by for dinner. I will stay here again when I need a hotel close to the airport.

Stay was fine - room clean and amenities satisfactory. No problems. Valet service prompt and courteous.

I was comfortable. The only complaint I have is the hallways had strong odors of cleaning solvent that was very perfumey. Since I am asthmatic I prefer that hotels not used highly scented products so as not to trigger my asthma.

Older hotel with new carpet and bedding which makes a big difference. Very clean, though the fragrance used in the hallway was strong.

Hotel was close to Airport and had a shuttle bus which makes it nice. The Breakfast was great. The room was clean. And great location to access public transportation such as the bart railway. There was also good restraunts located near hotel within walking distance.

Clean rooms, perfectly fine for a one night stay when heading out on an early flight from SFO. Wouldn't necessarily stay for any other reason. Hotel staff was nice.
