"Econo Lodge, take a pass"
We couldn't find another Hotel during the NCAA Cross Country Nationals, so we took a shot with the Econo Lodge in Terre Haute. The room was cheap but dirty and in dis-repair. Take a pass on this place. If you can"t find a room in Terre Haute, stay a town or two over.
"You get what you pay for"
The outdoor pool was wonderful. The rooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned in yrs. Cobwebs, floor was dirty, bathroom was gross. We had to keep our shoes on at all times because of the filth.Then on our last day we were greated by a cockroach. "Econ Lodge Hotel"
I would not recommend this Econ Lodge to anyone! It must be party central for all the people who don't want their homes trashed although I can't believe that would matter. If you want to share space with hourly rate guests as well, then you won't mind staying here either. DO NOT save a buck, spend extra and stay some where decent! "Econolodge in Terra Haute, IN"
Let me start by saying this hotel is a complete rat hole. I asked for a nice hotel and was directed to that place. I tried to cancel my reservation, but that was not an easy task.

"The Econo Lodge Terre Haute is in a prime location"
The hotel service and cleanliness are fair to good, but the facilities are long overdue for a facelift. If you just need a clean and reasonably comfortable place to stay for a night or two, you'll find that here at a good price. If you want something more than a functional room, this probably isn't for you.
"A Fine Place"
If you want a simple motel this is a fine place. Nothing fancy, just the basics. The continental breakfast wasn't very good, but I really just wanted a place to sleep.

For the price, the Econo Lodge was better than I expected. There is a steak house within 5min walking distance, and a breakfast restaurant across the street. Service was fine, room was a little worn but clean, and even with I-70 and US 41 nearby, my room was quiet.
"Sleazy and cheap"
Cracks in the paper thin walls, panhandlers in the parking lot, scarce breakfast items, slow check in. Would not recommend this motel. Should be a 1 star.
"My stay at Econo"
My stay at the Econo Lodge was great, it was located right off the interstate, surrounded by numerous resturants and shopping. The staff was great in making me fill comortable
"Better then what I paid"
This place was a better place to stay then what I was expecting. Much better then other hotels at the same level for more money.
The quarters are pretty small so it is not the place to go if you are going to bring the kitchen sink. But the rooms are nice and clean and well kept up. I have been in hotels in the same price range with dingy rooms where things such as lights didn't work. That was not the case at Econo Lodge. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay, with few […] amenities, but is clean and well kept up, Econo Lodge is a good deal. Leer más

"Great value for the Traveler"
Nice place to spend a night or two. Very nice staff with clean rooms.
"Clean, quiet, good location."
Felt it was a good value for the price. Good location--close to the interstate & lots of restaurants close by. Service was good. Parkings spaces larger than normal. Room was clean & comfortable.
"Cheap, and it shows"
We visited the hotel in mid-June, but the pool was empty. Beds were not comfortable. Rooms need general maintenance. Neighborhood is not appealing.

The rooms had been freshly painted and still smelled. The floors were not the clean. I think we overpaid for this one!

Our first room was not clean. The bathroom was not good. We then was given a second room. This room was clean and had newer rugs and bathroom. There were trucker in the rooms next to us and the following rooms. There was noise till about 10 pm. thank you
"OLD!"
There were holes in the walls from door handles and who knows what else, mattress' that were not flat ( they drooped and had low spots between frame supports). furniture that was very scratched up, and looked very old. "Good room for the price"
This is obviously not a luxurious hotel, but it was definitely a good place for the rate. I had stayed there once before, and will probably stay there again if I return.
