Le Meridien Cancun Resort and Spa

Tristemente están construyendo un edificio enorme a un lado del hotel que bloquea toda la vista, el sol y además produce muchísimo ruido, tuvimos que cambiarnos de hotel pero el personal nos trató excelente al hacerlo.

el personal super agradables y serviciales ...un poco lento el servicio de bar en la piscina pero muy agradables y atentos...las habitaciones super bien y el buffet de la manana muy bien en especial a juanito el chef de los alimentos calientes

Excelente hotel es amplio, comodo, habitaciones aseadas y bien distribuidas, sus comedores amplios con muy buena variedad de alimentos, parqueadero seguro, piscinas muy agradables con agua a varias temperaturas, una playa espectacular, sin congestion de personal, y la atencion del personal de servicio es excelente me hospede con mi señora y mis dos […] hijas de 13 y 4 años las cuales estan igual de satisfechas que yo se me olvidaba que tambien tiene un sector de recreacion para niños yo me he hospedado en varios hoteles de cinco estrellas y puedo dar una excelente recomendacion del Le Meridien Cancun Resort and spa Leer más

We were not informed abt. the construction in hotel and next door. The amount of noise and un-desirable construction site was eye sore. We requested to change or upgrade room but were told it was sold out.

the room is beautifull, cleaned always on time, nice view to the ocean and lagoon both. nice warm pool and amazing beach. big gym and the hotel overal seems glorious. the best compliment we want to give to the service and all the people work there. amazing service and treatment. the only thing that wasn't excellent is the replace, the hotel is far away […] from the entertainment center and the downtown. you need take a bus. but we didnt care, we enjoyed our staying and recomended and will recommend this hotel to our friends. Not sure what changed. We only live 3 hours away and have stayed at this hotel for many years. For the first time it was no so great. It felt like someone had changed the hotel concept to very low budget. I am sure the low occupancy hurts but they should still try to run the hotel like it was full. All the ice machines had been shut down so you have […] to go to the bar for ice. Little service and the food was not good. We had to go next door to the Ritz Carlton to eat which was amazingly good. Le Meridien is building a new hotel on the pool side of this hotel. The current hotel will become a Sandals when the new Le Meridien is complete. The construction noise ruins the entire experience. Jack hammers, saws, and tractor noise all day long made it impossible to enjoy the pool or beach Mon - Sat. Sunday was quiet. I would recommend waiting until […] the new Le Meridien opens. From the buffet breakfast, to the three tier infiniti pools, to the friendly service of all employees, Le Meridien is top notch stay for a reasonable price.

We greatly enjoyed our 5 day stay at Le Meridien. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the hotel was beautiful, clean and in a excellent location between the lagoon and the ocean. The hotel was only minutes away from restaurants and other attractions. I would recommend it to everyone.

We had a great time at this hotel and the breakfast buffet was amazing. The gym is also one of the best I've had in a hotel down in Mexico. The pool and beach were great. Wonderfull stay, we will come back !

WE STAYED 3 NIGHTS AT THIS SUPPOSEDLY 5 STAR HOTEL. FIRST OF ALL IT DOES NOT HAVE A SIGN ON THE STREET LIKE THE OTHER RESORTS, SO YOU HAVE TO FIGURE OUT WHERE IT IS. IT IS NEXT To A BUILDING THAT IS BEING CONSTRUCTED. I EXPECT MORE FROM STARWOOD HOTELS. SMALL LOBBY , BOUTIQUE HOTEL. WE WENT TO THE ROOM AND SOMEONE FORGOT TO PUT PICTURE ON wall, air […] vent dripping water , paint peeling ,WE let front desk know. They upgraded to a handicap accessible room , large but the same issue, really wasn't. The beach area is small , compared to other resorts. Very nice installations ... the price paid was right for the services we got ...breakfast buffet was very good and had all possible options . Beach facilities including pool were very good and clean . We left at 6 pm and the Concierge very kindly offered us a Hospitality room to change at mid afternoon . Very much appreciated . Warning- we got a great rate, but there is a massive hotel being built next door to the property and it makes it noisy by the pool. I'd make sure I was staying on other side of the hotel, (which I did). Other than that, its your typical high end Cancun hotel with good service and amenities, wifi and gym were free. This was a great hotel. Top notch. The service was great. Everyone was so accomadating. I would highly recommend this hotel. It was a beautiful environment. Staff was wonderful. We would definitely go back.

The food literally tasted like it was out of a microwave oven. It was impossible to get dinner for less than $50 per person. They charge $10 just for a bottle of water. If I'm paying so much for food, I want it to at least taste good. But their idea of Mexican is the microwave toquitos. Their breakfast selection is totally lacking for vegetarians/jews/muslims. […] It's mainly sausage, bacon and beef. They have a fresh eggs sections, but apart from this everything seems like stale from prepackaged food. I actually even got sick from eating there, I won't go into how awful it was. I tried to sit and relax by the pool but there is construction and so much drilling and banging it's impossible to relax here. Until the construction is finished I definitely wouldn't recommend staying here. It's a family hotel too, so keep that in mind when choosing this hotel. 1. Wi Fi Internet and regular internet were very slow. Compering to other hotels this service was not accaptble. I tried to watch some on-line sport games without any sucsess. And for this kind of internet I paid 15 USD per 24 hours!!!!! 2. Sometimes was very difficult to find place on the beach.

Major problem was the construction next door, a HUGE resort being built, constant noise and due to the hieght of the building the pool area was shaded by noon.

As this was our 2n d week in Cancun we just wanted to lay back, relax, take in the sun and that's exactly what we did at Le Meridian. We actually booked this hotel a few days before while we were staying at another hotel in Cancun. There were lots of choices but Le meridian looked very appealing and it turned out to be just that. I guess the only down […] side may be the huge hotel being built just next door which cast a shadow on the pool areas early in the afternoon and even onto the beach. I have stayed at Le Meridien's all over the world and this one was one of the worst. The check in staff was quite rude about who was staying in our room. The room didn't have the modern features and feel that most Le Meiedien hotels have and to top it all off, the high priced room had a giant hotel being constructed right next door! The Hotel and staff are top-notch. The Spa is incredible and reasonably priced for services. The food is exceptional - don't miss breakfast! They are starting to do some all-inclusive packages as the hotel transitions from Le Meridian (French) to a Sandos (Spanish) resort. Very diverse clientele. disappointed in the experience. Boooked a single king bed, paid extra for it and got two queens. The staff would not accomodate me and my guest. My room was on the 7th floor and we could not get hot water for a shower - not a good experience.

The Hotel is great, the service is good but the prices of food and drink is very high. A buffet breakfast is $28.00 Dlls. Drinks are $14.00. A meal could cost for 2 about 100.00, just lunch. The spa was very nice but a massage is 175 USD.

I have been to the Le Meridien three times now and will always go back when I'm in Cancun. It's a relatively small hotel compared to some of the others and the staff treats you like family. The third time we were there the bell men remember us and welcomed us back like old friends. The concierge remembered us as well and came around her desk to give […] us each a hug. I've never stayed in another hotel where I felt so welcome and really felt like the staff treated every guest like VIPs. They are friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Leer más

The hotel is nice with nice pools & the beach. I had a bad experience with the man who was at the reception desk. I had booked my rooms with buffet breakfast for two days. Last day, I couldn't have the breakfast because my flight was early, so I had asked the reception person night before to send me the breakfast to my room. Well the morning came and […] no breakfast was delivered. So I asked to see if they could give me a credit for the breakfast for 2 people. Well he flatly told me "no", because it's a different restaurant and etc etc... I could not believe it. Then to make the matters worse, I had 4 post cards that I wanted to send, so I asked if he could mail them, he said no, and then went around to ask what the postage would be... all because the gift shop, where I can mail was closed. I think a hotel like Le Meridien, after expecting my breakfast delivery, which never realized, then asked for a credit for breakfast never eaten... then for the lousy postage, which I was willing to pay... Everything about the hotel was fine apart from one thing - there is a high rise hotel being built next door which completely overshadows the pool areas. Apparently it has been under construction for some time and progress is very slow. It is very ugly to look at and even when completed will dwarf the Le Meridien which is a shame.

Everything is perfect there. Only some problems with food at dinner and WIFI internet access must be free for this type of hotel.

Hotel staff caters to all your needs. Very courteous and very friendly...Close to the bus stop...St Trop has the best pizza...Breakfast buffet was excellent.

This hotel was amazing. from the moment we checked in, every single thing was perfect. the service, the beach, the pool and the spa are outstanding.

I love the location of the hotel - not too close to downtown, yet close enough to not spend too much on taxi. This was our first time in Cancun, and since we have a teenage daughter, didn't want to be too far from all the happenings. We have stayed at all-inclusive hotels when she was younger, but now we feel the adventure of tasting the local cuisine. […] Too many times, all inclusive "food" was always fused to American convenience. The staff was excellent, but then again, the customer service and the overall friendliness of the Cancun-ites, were way beyond any tourist would expect. We can't remember their names, but from the bell hop to the pool waiter, they were just all very accomodating. Our trip was topped by the experience of helping a mother turtle lay her eggs at the hotel's beach. The hotel had specific fenced area to gently transfer the eggs to this secured area - away from the public. We definitely decided to go back to Cancun again, and stay at this hotel. One of my favorite things about Le Meridien Resort was the calming sandalwood fragrance that hit you when you walked in the door! We enjoyed our room, the very polite and helpful staff, the pools, and the beautiful beach. It was a great central location, and a good base for exploring the area. I only have two minor complaints: 1) food was very expensive […] at the hotel's two restaurants, although that seemed typical throughout the hotel zone; and 2) there was a hotel being constructed directly next door (to the south), but the audible and visual noise was surprisingly minimal. My boyfriend and I "escaped" to Cancun for one night to celebrate our 2 year anniversary and part of the driving force was the great rate at this hotel that had consistent great reviews! (Beat shooting down to Miami!) The reviews were very reflective of our experience as well! Greeted with towels to clean our hands and a yummy orange frozen beverage; […] upon checkin got upgraded to a room with a beautiful ocean view overlooking the pools; we relaxed poolside and then got into the warm salt-water pools as the sun set. It was beautiful. Poolside staff was attentive (even made honey mustard for us!). Hotel was not at full occupancy so not overcrowded---kinda felt like you were in your own space, just a few other couples. The next day we woke up and had breakfast buffet on patio with ocean view which had lots of tasty selections and again very attentive staff. A late check-out was granted, no questions asked! Made it easier to enjoy our final hours before our afternoon flight. We would definitely stay here again---especially at these rates! Leer más

I recently stayed a week at The Le Meridien Cancun Resort and Spa and enjoyed every minute. The hotel staff was friendly and always helpful. The pool was beautiful with the ocean within walking distance. Very close to restaurants and nightlife.
