"TRUCKER'S REST STOP"
When I entered the room, I had to use my CELL PHONE LIGHT to find the lamps because the light switches didn't work!!! The phones had NO DIAL-TONE for me to call the front desk, so I had to use my cell to call and complain. There was an opened apple juice and Vodka bottle left in the fridge (which tells me the room WASN'T CLEANED thoroughly). The old […] pieces of chocolate on the bed turned me off. Great location right off of the LIE, but a few exits down from the airport. Clean rooms, friendly staff, but not much around the exit entertainment/food wise. The rooms are kind of small and there was only one trash pail in the main room, not in the bathroom. The tv picture was very grainy and turned us off from getting an LG tv. I travel for business 15 days per month, and this hotel is one of the best I've stayed at. Staff was very courteous and accommodating, restaurant was good, room was clean and comfortable. My only criticism is if a hotel is going to splurge by putting hi-def TVs in the rooms, they should broadcast in hi-def. Our room must have been newly renivated it was lovley clean and comfortable. The rooms are a bit small, not good if you have small children. as adults we managed.

Room was in terrible condition, extremely musty. Nearly the entire carpet throughout the room was soaked, perhaps due to a carpet cleaning not properly done. "Would never stay here again"
On checking in I found the room to be very small. The "sleep number bed" controller did not work, the bed was inflated to the maximum and very uncomfortable. The bathroom had no vanity, or counter of any kind, you couldn't even put a toothbrush down anywhere. "Good but could use a little TLC"
The room was very nice but there could have been some preventative measures taken to make my stay excellent. The light above the door did not work and when entering at night I had to feel my way across the room to turn on the light which was also not working properly. Only 1 out the 2 bulbs was working. There was no garbage pan in the room. I went many times to ask for pan and they pay me no mind. Only one of the lady in reception was very nice. And there was a supervisor in housekeeping , she was very nice.

"Crowne Plaza near MacArthur Airport, Islip, LI"
This is our first experience with a Crowne Plaza hotel. We were very impressed with the cleanliness, comfort and attention to detail displayed by all personnel. We had traveled a long way and the rest we received was better than most hotels we have stayed in. We would definitely come again and would try other Crowne Plaza hotels in our future travels. "Not bad"
There were little problems with our room, there was no remote for the TV, not to mention the TV was really old. Also, no alarm clock to get you up in the morning. The handles on the dresser drawers were falling off. We also were given a handicapped room for some strange reason. We were too tired to say anything about it and just went to sleep. "Unbelieveable for the price"
I can't believe this hotel offers rooms as cheap as they do. The whole place is like a true 4 star hotel. The bathroom was amazing in our room, with a blue glass sink and multi-function shower-head. There was a 50 dollar pre-authorization that is put on your credit card, I'm still waiting for it to come off, but that's to be expected with many hotels. "Hotel Stay"
Stay was good overall. Room was comfortable. Only issue was sign on the highway of the address was small. Past it before finding it.
"Choose the Hampton up the road ..."
This hotel was conveniently located but hard to find even though I know the area and had a navigator (they could use a more obvious sign) and surely it is not the 3.5 stars it is rated. The decor is worn and kind of crummy. The rooms are on the small side and outdated (old TV, BR vanity, etc). There was a couple fighting down the hall (which could happen […] anywhere I guess) who "deposited" personal items out the window into the trees! The hotel staff was courteous and did apologize for the disturbance (which really wasn't that bad, just kind of sketchy). "Great new rooms"
Rooms were recently updated and very modern. Place was very clean inside the room and had very presentable bathrooms. Only thing was we stayed on the first floor and the rugs and walls in hallways were a bit abuses. Some peeling wallpaper dirty / stained rugs.
"Would have rated better if hot water had worked"
In town for a funeral. Day of funeral, no hot water to shower. Basically you get a hotel room for a place to sleep and a place to bathe, and I was unable to do one of them on the most important day of the stay. Other than that, the hotel was fine.

"Great Room for the Money"
For what I payed I got a really nice room. It had a king size bed that was very comfy and a really warm comforter. The service was great and the workers were really nice. I only had two complaints, after booking the room Hotels.com took care of everything properly but at the Hotel they also charged me an extra $50 deposit for service. I got there at […] 3am and didn't need service because I only went there for one night to sleep. But that charge was mandatory and it would've been nice to know ahead of time. That was no problem, my biggest concern was the temperature of the room. When we got there the AC was on and set at 59F and it was like 62F outside. So it was pretty cold. I turned the heat on and set the temp at 90 degrees. Found out the heat wasn't working. The whole night we slept it was cold, the warmest it got was 65 degrees. I know I could have complained and gotten another room but it was already late and I just wanted to get some rest before hitting the road. But overall it was a nice place, it was clean, the bed and bathrooms were really nice with plenty of towels. I would definitely go again. Leer más

"Exactly what we expected."
The hotel was nice, comfortable, clean. We only stayed one night and did not spend much time in the room, but the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. As other reviews had stated, the parking lot was a little bit of a nightmare and the front desk service felt that every phone call was more important than the person standing in front of them - […] took 14 calls while checking in. "Good Experience"
The hotel was very nice -- bed was extremely comfortable. Only flaw I noticed in my brief stay was the parking lot was a bit small. Arrived late on a Saturday, and parking was somewhat difficult -- had to park on the opposite side of the hotel entrance next to the restaurant. Otherwise, no complaints.

"Nicely renovated"
We were very pleased with our recently renovated room though the view of construction debris from the ongoing renovation was not pleasant! The bathroom could use more lateral spaces to put things down but it was overall a good experience and very quiet for a hotel so close to the expressway. The maid even "made" our baby's bed by laying out her blanket […] and toy neatly in the Pack 'n' Play! "Friendly helpful staff"
I chose the hotel because of its free shuttle from the airport and to the train station. We arrived very late (and tired) too late to order food, but the folks behind the counter were joking and friendly - gave us free drink tickets for the "karaoke bar" . . . the room was comfortable and breakfast we great. "remodeled rooms"
The rooms on the first two floors have been redone and ours looked new. It's always nice to find free Internet access in the room. The night clerk said that the shuttle to the airport didn't start until 10 in the morning. Luckily the staff in the morning took us to the airport at 8 with no questions asked.

Well the hotel's shuttle was broken but they still managed to pick us up from the airport which was nice. The staff was friendly, especially the waiters in the bar.

The Hotel and room were clean and well maintained. Checking and Checkout were quick and painless. Hotel Restaurant was higher priced than I would have liked but they were able to put the hockey game I wanted to see on a screen I could see from the table... This is key during the Stanley Cup Playoffs!!!

Hotel has some major problems first night there me and my husband arrived tired it was somewhat late and was put in a room with heating system and televison not working at all; maintance worker came in after we waited half hour and determine both were broken and needed to be repaired. Of course we had to pack what we took out and move to another room. […] Last night there we was awake by fire alarm going off nothing was really confirmed what happen however the hallway was full of screaming people and frighten children cryying; it was horrible this went on for a good 20 min there was no apology for the incovience for neither one of these incident and out of all the people that worked there that we were in contact with only 1out of 5 was nice to us the rest of the employee's there were rude. Hotel was excellent for the price - nice atmosphere, updated rooms and lobby, cute restaurant. But - The beds are as hard as cement! We wll woke up with back aches/shoulder aches, etc.

"I got my moneys worth."
The staff was freindly and was helpful. The bed springs were extreamly noisy in my room and it was very loud even if I sat on it. But I am sure that was just bad luck and not a reflection of all the beds in the hotel. Overall it is a clean Hotel but the rooms felt very simple and plain.
