We generally stay here when we visit our relatives who live nearby (just for the convenience of walking). However on our last trip we found that the linens are in serious need of replacement.....ripped sheets/burn holes in blankets/spots on towels and washcloths. The manager was very accommodating when we requested new linens/additional towels, etc.

I was completely satisfied with this hotel. The front desk person was very helpful. It was within walking distance of the beach. I had wonderful experience.

The bed was comfortable... The hallways out side of our room were dirty and the carpet was clearly not vaccumed. When we arrived the Hotel was FREEZING, all of the windows in the hallways were open. The bathroom was a WHOLE other story!!! there was mold on the inside of the shower curtain, and the drain didn't work very well. I was pretty scared to use the towels after that. The maid in the morning was very unpleasant. After eating our breakfast...we went to our room and I noticed some stains on the chair...The location of this hotel is nice, and so is the area, but I would never stay here again! especially because when i got home i looked online and i found a REALLY nice hotel for only $10 more a night. OHHH and by the way... THERE IS NO OCEAN VIEW!!!

This is a good place for those on a budget. Check-in was very quick. The room was nice and the bed very comfortable. Bathroom was small and the sink didn't drain well so I had to take the stopper out to make the water would go down. Shower worked fine. No extra pillows in the room, as the front desk told me there would be, so an extra request had to be made. Also, the hallway leading to my non-smoking room smelled terrible of smoke. Room was located on the 2nd floor corner, facing the highway, but I was very surprised how quiet the room was at night. Overall, good value but would consider staying somewhere else next time.

Rate was far too high for the quality of the hotel. Continental breakfast consisted of bread, milk, cereal, juice, coffee.

The hotel smelled really bad. The rooms were just ho-hum. But the neighborhood made you feel really uneasy. And to top that, the hotel was just left open all night long - wide open - doors proped open to the outside world to just walk in! The front desk (booth) was behind bulletproof glass and there was never anyone there unless you pushed the buzzer. I would not stay there again.

room is ok, continental breakfast doesn't even offer orange juice. no Id was checked upon check in.

Great location, nothing special inside. my room faced the freeway so got interstate noise all night. however room did have fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, and the cable was REAL cable, not that lame hotel cable you sometimes get that has HBO and CNN and a few local channels and nothing else. The "continental breakfast" consisted of two kinds of sliced bread, a toaster, two kinds of cereal, milk and AN apple (presumably for all the guests). Dont make any grand plans around this breakfast. Was a cheap (considering location) hotel though and was perfectly fine and safe.

Great room for the money! The only problem was we needed a roll-away bed which was not available at the time we checked in. The free continental breakfast was supposed to have been available from 7am till 10am but everything was put away by 9:15am. Other than that - the hotel is great!

All tho the hotel was a bit on the older side, it was clean and close to the shore. We got there a couple hours after we booked online and the manager had my info when I walked in. That impressed me the most. We were only there for a place to spend a couple nights while touring around SF and found this a pleasant place to stay and yet, still minutes from the city. Close to the zoo and near the freeways. I have no idea what the rates are at similar hotels in the area, but it was acceptable.
