Diamondhead Beach Resort and Spa

Diamond Head is a great place to stay. Walking distance to shops and food. Pool and hot tubs were perfect. Staff is very friendly. Food at the hotel is very good also.

We got this last minute deal on hotels.com and don't regret it. There was entertainment right down the beach and many quaint little restrauants up and down the beach. I would definitely stay here again. And the beach was beautiful.

It was our anniversary weekend and we both very much enjoyed our stay at this Resort. We both feel you can not beat the hospitality. We recommend this Resort highly.

the 2-room suite was perfect for our family. The balcony is large and fully screened top to bottom which we liked because we have a toddler. The view was great from the 12th floor. The restaurant and pool bar were great amenities. This is the nicest resort in the area and within walking distance to restaurants. We enjoyed having a car to go to other […] restaurants, islands, etc. The pool was very warm so we were able to use it even when it was chilly outside. We stayed here for 4 nights and wonder why the Diamondhead is not rated with 5 STARS

My husband, 17 yr old son and I really enjoyed ourselves. Very nice accomodations w/ wonderful view of the Gulf! Nice pool & beach. No need for a car. Walk to all the restaurants (within 1.5 mile) or take the beach Trolly. The Trolly is clean & convenient. Hotel was very accomodating - we had 2 requests - they were taken care of immediately!

It was great being right on the beach and having a nice pool and cabana bar. I would recommend this for families as there are a lot of activities along the beach road and the suite was definitely big enough for a family of 4. We personally prefer a quieter environment with less noise/traffic but if that doesn't bother you, this is great place to stay....very […] friendly staff! Leer más

The staff was WONDERFUL! I stayed here in September with my girlfriend and we thought the hotel was great. We got upgraded to a second floor beach front room for free (the wonders of late check-in) because all the other rooms were full. The screened in patio was the best feature next to listening to the waves at night in bed. I would recommend a beach front room on a low floor […] here to anyone. It is clean and kept well, but the rooms looks used - which they are. But location couldnt be better. Close enough and far enough away from FMB.

My 10 yr. old son and I were happy with the room except that the floors were so dirty that I had to wear my flip flops through out my stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and Cloe's Restaurant was absolutely wonderful for breakfast and Thanksgiving Day dinner. They beach had flour-like soft sand and wave runner rentals. Unfortunately, the […] Wave runner dolphin tour excursion we signed up for was cancelled so we didn't get to do that. It may have been to windy. My wife, son and I spent four nights at this location and found it to meet our needs superbly. Our goal was to find an accommodation close to the beach and Diamondhead definitely provided it. Our two room suite was very efficient and comfortable. The service from front desk to housekeeping was precise. Very nice hotel with excellent customer service!

The company that provide recreational services to the hotel (sailing, wave-runners, etc) has some maintenance issues with watercraft devices. I suggest you verify equipment is available and working if these items are important for your trip.

This is a very nice hotel located right on the beach. All employees nice and helpful. highly recommend

We had a great time will stay there agian

The hotel is awesome. The shops, resturants and the pier, are just a walk away. The water is not pretty, it's brown and has a not so good smell, but you have sanibel and bonita springs really close and the beaches there are awesome.

We stayed here last weekend and loved it. For the price, we got a really great room with a beautiful view. The hotel suite was large, clean and very comfortable. The TVs in the room however need to go! Reminded me of something I recall having once upon a lifetime ago, thats how old they were!

We had an amazing experience here! The rooms are beautiful with huge screened in balconies overlooking the ocean. Rooms are spacious and very clean. The service was excellent!! Everyone was so friendly and eager to help or answer questions. I could not have been more happy with our stay here!! We are planning to go back next year. My husband and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary here this past August. We had a gulfview room on the 9th floor, it was very nice. The screened in balcony was just as spacious as the room! We saw the sunrise every morning and were able to walk right out on the beach to see the sunset every evening. We had stayed at the Diamondhead before. Everything was very nice. A special touch was the in-room touchscreen flat panel computer. It's a little clumsy to use at first but it's a terrific amenity and it offsets the fact that the free in-room wifi was barely functional. We would recommend it to a friend without question.

This is our 2nd time staying at the Diamondhead Beach Resort and we truly love the location. Right on the beach, great pool area, free parking and convenient to many area attractions and restaurants. The room was wonderful for us and our 3 and 4 year old children. The pull out couch was comfortable for them and the bonus of having a bedroom door to […] separate the sleeping areas is a must! The bathroom was huge, the screened patio adds outdoor space and was where we ate meals and the kids relaxed, and the kitcheonette (although rather small) allowed us to have breakfast and most lunches in the room without needing a full kitchen. The staff was great at check-in, made sure we had what we needed during our 5 day stay and we even had fun watching karaoke in the lounge when we got rained out of beach time on our last night there! The poolside grill has decent food/prices, the restaurant is a bit expensive but there are many options locally with a quick internet search. My only complaint was that they are in the process of converting the resort to timeshares and it was sold pretty heavily. We told two staff members that we really weren't interested but I was curious what upgrades were being made to the units to make them sale-worthy. I was told we could tour a model as a courtesy, but when we got there we were promptly sat down with a sales pitch! I should have seen it coming, but with 2 small kids to keep up with I was firm about just looking around and not being interested in signing up for ANYTHING. The upgrades are fine, but nothing changes the fact that the units are ALL 1 bedroom with sofabeds so if you have a big family it might not be a realistic option. Just be aware of this factor when staying there - though they weren't as bad as car dealerships!! Overall, we loved the resort and the location is fantastic. Despite the fact that we got rain throughout all our stay the hotel accommodations plus the staff made it so pleasant that we really did not care about the weather- Just a couple of minor details at our arrival such as being greeted by a salesperson the minute we stepped out of our car after a long drive trying to push us to go to a timeshare sale speech […] and insisting on a date and time for us to attend, we found that very annoying but otherwise everything was perfect- Just don't try to step out and take a walk on the beach towards the Pier, it is not a nice experience - Thumbs up for the hotel- Beautiful, clean and fully equipped room with a beautiful view with a screened balcony- Chloe's restaurant is good and the poolside bar is also pretty good- Overall a very good hotel with a great staff where you and your kids will certainly have a good time. Great hotel, have stayed many times before. Great views, especially on Sunset side, the higher the floor the better. One small problem, don,t get a handicap room if you don't need it, only one enterance into bathroom vs 2 with standard room. Free internet in room but difficult to use the touchscreen. Good location, close to both ends of island. Bring […] your own beach chairs or pay $25/day to rent. The dolphin jet ski tour is a must, check competitors prices for best deal. I'm so glad that I chose to stay at Diamond Head. I wanted a updated room/hotel that was clean and comfortable. Diamond Head met my expectations. The balcony was amazing...Large enough for two lounge chairs and a table with 4 chairs, completely screened in. The rooms were more of a condo style which made the stay very comfortable. Would definitely stay […] there again. One point worth mentioning is that it is not a late night type of place...everything closes by 11p on the weekend and earlier during the week. Leer más

From the moment we arrived the service the hotel provided us was outstanding, everything from the maid service to the bellman who helped us unlaod and move up to the room. The ammenities were exceptional and everything was fresh and clean. The hotel's pool and private beach acess were perfect for us because once you arrived you had no need to leave, […] everthing was just a walk down from your room to the back and you were there. Overall the room was wonderful. We had a corner unit facing the gulf and we were able to see the sunsets in the west. The pool was small but the kids enjoyed it. Access to the beach was wonderful. The food at the bar by the pool was horrible. I am not a picky eater and usually i eat anything but the food here left me feeling sick and that was only with […] a few bites. Loved my stay at Diamondhead Resort. Great Beach and excellent view of Gulf and surrounding area. Next visit to Ft. Myers I will stay again there. Had a great Sunday Brunch at Hotel.

The property is located right on the beach. The food is great at both the pool side dining, and Chloe's is a must. Will definatley be back

A 4-day,3=night stay that inspite of scattered thunderstorm weather turned out to be a fantastic vacation. A great place to visit by the beach, just kicking back and relaxing the entire time. The service throughout the hotel was top rate, the food was devine, a little pricey but with hotel discounts, well affordable. Some of the best cuisine my wife […] and I have ever eaten. A variety of amenities to include planned activites by the pool site. The location provides walking distance dining to meet all appetites at very reasonable prices. We did the Big "M" Casino Cruise the last night therre, and it was the climax to a totally enjoyable stay. We got a super deal on a suite with a great view of the beach and gulf. This was our second visit to this resort. We paid a little extra for a beachfront suite. When we stepped out onto the balcony we had a great view of the water and it was very private! Our 8th floor suite had everything my wife and I needed for our 5 night romantic getaway!! Found plenty of good seafood nearby and took the boat to Key West on a Sunday. […] People at front desk and bellman were very friendly and helpful. We will certainly come back here again. The Hotel is very nice and clean.The staff is very friendly , and willing to help when asked. The only thing I would recommend changing would be the prices of the meals or maybe a special featured meal at a value price. We liked it so much we stayed another night .

The room was clean and very nice. We stayed for two nights and three days loved the beach and pool. The cabana bar was fabulous the people were nice service was great and drink were fabulous. For us the resturants were a huge disappointment.
