Hemos estado alojados en este hotel hace apenas unos días. Nuestra primera vez en Nueva York y la verdad es que sin ninguna pega. El Hotel perfectamente ubicado, limpio, buen trato del personal y la habitación con todas las comodidades. La cama muy cómoda, algo de agradecer cuanto estás 12 horas al día caminando. Maquína de café y té a tu disposición todos los días en la habitación. A 2 minutos de Times Square y a 50 metros del edificio de oficinas del periódico The New York Times. Para repetir sin duda!

Hemos tenido una estancia completamente satisfactoria. El primer dia nos dieron una habitacion de uso individual, por lo que la mañana siguiente pedimos un cambio, y nos ofrecieron un upgrade gratis a una king size. Siendo una habitación mucho mejor que la otra, pudimos comprobar que la calidad de la pequeña es igual que la superior. Las habitaciones de este hotel son pequeñas en general, pero el estado de las mismas es muy bueno. Los colchones son geniales. El mobiliario es justo. Tiene plancha y tabla de planchar, y caja fuerte. Las instalaciones comunes son muy buenas, incluso ipads disponibles para el cliente, wifi gratis en el lobby, bascula para pesar las maletas antes de ir al aeropuerto, mesa de billar. Ofrecen servicio de transfer al aeropuerto privado, por poco mas que un taxi. Si vuelvo a NY no dudaria en volver a este hotel. Y el personal excelente, correctisimo y amable, dispuesto a ayudar dentro de sus posibilidades. No tengo ninguna queja en absoluto, a pesar de que he visto muchos comentarios negativos por internet en general para todos los hoteles. Esta claro que la gente tiende mas a criticar cuando las cosas van mal que cuando van bien. Los ascensores son muy rapidos y nunca tuvimos que hacer cola, aun estando en la ultima planta alojados. La ubicación magnifica, en pleno times square. Lo recomiendo sin duda alguna.

Estuve 10 días en total, en habitación individual. Muy cómodo, muy limpio. Siempre disponibilidad de los baños compartidos, continuamente limpiados. Lo recomiendo 100%, por ubicación y hotel en sí. Habitación algo pequeña pero al estilo de los tamaños de Manhattan.

The Sherry retains all the old world service that only happens when an establishment has been around for over 50 years. It also has the gracious scale of a hotel built before 1930. "Very classy with a wonderful staff"
In NYC, there are many hotels that are newer, hipper and edgier than the SN but .... its just a wonderful experience staying here. The vibe is old world charm and the staff is extremely accomodating.

This hotel is directly across the street from Central Park and diagonal from the Plaza hotel. It is very easy to walk, catch a cab or the subway to most museums. I called the front desk at 11pm to let them know that we had no hot water. Took a cold shower at 6:30am. I informed the front desk on the way out. You think they would have offered me a discount on my next stay. They don't care since 80% of the hotel is condo occupied. Otherwise great location, old world, large rooms, with nice elevator operators.
"ROOMS MAKE A DIFFERENCE"
The first night we got a room with 1 king size located on 3rd floor with a really bad interior view. The marble in the bathroom was not in good conditions, and a bad smell in the room. NO HOT WATER FOR THE FIRST 5 MINUTES with running water.... Next day we were changed to a different room (2 double beds) So much difference!!! Hot water, clean, good […] condition, etc. They have nice amenities, and excellent location and good service, but it is so dissapointing to have a bad first night. Leer más

What a great place to stay in NYC. The Sherry Netherland is in a perfect location in an upscale area with a metro and Central Park less than 100 yards away. The service was impeccable, and the decor tasteful. Our room was exceptionally spacious for the location and was a joy to come "home" to after a long day of activity. We were expecting a room with a separate sitting area and a kitchenette. What we had was a king-size bed with a lounge chair and a small refrigerator. And the lobby did not have the usual brochures about sites-to-see, etc. But, it was a beautiful old hotel. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. And, it is right on the SE edge of Central Park. We […] had easy access to the subway just outside the hotel. That made getting to Times Square and Broadway, Yankee Stadium, etc very easy even for a bunch of country folks. "Friendly people at fancy digs with great location"
Nice big room and bath with super toiletries, fresh flowers & Godiva on arrival, free water & soft drinks and very accommodating staff. King bed a tad too firm for my taste. Inside courtyard room (the cheapest) has no view at all, but is quiet (so quiet the construction down the hall could barely be heard). Gorgeous lobby is small, & is empty of guests […] most times (majority of hotel is really condos). Not a place to hang out. Neither is Cipriani, the wildly overpriced restaurant & bar (4 stools) in the hotel, even with the discount for being a hotel guest (but if you go, ask for Aldo, a lovely man & great captain/fill-in bartender). Best bet for breakfast, upscale: Sarabeth's, on Central Park South (esp. if the scaffolding outside is gone); for classic NY coffee shop w/ great eggs etc: Gene's, on 60th between 5th & 6th. The Italian trattoria next door is pretty good, but make sure they give you your discount for being a hotel guest. Like other guests of this hotel, I can't say enough about how great the staff is. Rooms are huge by NYC standards. Large windows for nice natural light, comfortable beds, nice decorations and amenities. a lovely, old-fashioned boutique hotel. Small, unimpressive lobby, but fantastic locations right across from the park and right next to Apple & FAO Schwarz. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again.

Very comfortable room, excellent location and the most helpful staff in an "up-market" hotel. Small touches like fresh flowers, chocolates and free soft drinks in my room made my holiday - my only criticism is I would have preferred a breakfast room on site rather than only room service for breakfast . I shall definitely stay there again.

"Outstanding Accomodations, Location and Service"
Our room was bigger than most NYC apartments. Lush, comfortable, amenable to our needs and wants, right down to the complimentary refrigerator beverages and umbrellas in the closet. Staff were accomodating and available. It was not their fault that NYC chose 12:30 am to camp outside our hotel window and use a huge vaccuum to go down into the manhole […] and work for an hour. When we called the front desk, work stopped immediately. Coincidence or clout? Didn't matter at that point it was done. What did matter was the matter of the running toilet, you know, jiggle me so I'll stop. We asked the desk twice who sent up maintenance twice who fixed it twice. But you know toilets.... That's the worst thing I can say and it is really small at that. Have fun and get a Bellini in Cipriani's downstairs. Leer más

This hotel is truly New York. From the moment we stepped into the hotel until we checked out everything was perfect. Even our "courtyard" turned out for the best due to the decrease in noise. Hope to stay again.
