Holiday Inn LaGuardia Airport

First of all what a great staff, among them Rita and Andra very friendly and helpful. Our room was impecable. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the subway, great shuttle service to and from LAG Airport. I never travel without checking Trip Advisor and again the travelers comments nailed this hotel for me. Thanks for your hospitality!!

One of the best Italian restaurants in the area, be hungry the portions are enormous.

Hotel was OK but the web indicated an indoor swimming pool, which was what attracted me to it. Pool was closed, so I was very diappointed and annoyed by the false advertising. They should compensate me for loss of enjoyment of pool and remove pool on web site.

Ive stayed at many holiday inns and this one a couple of times in particular. The reason I'm so disatisfied is that I found a cockroach in my room and nothing was done except the woman at the front desk offered me a few nutragrain bars. The hotel is well-maintained which is more than can be said for the area it is situated in. The daytime convenience of the nearby subway, and thus reasonable access to the heart of NYC, is offset once the sun goes down. If you are going to a Mets game and can drive, this would be a good stay. Otherwise, stay away.

This hotel is fine, very close to the airport with free shuttle, desk service was great. Price is high....but we thought the benefits added up. Room was clean, and actually in better shape than the other, higher priced, hotel we stayed at in Manhattan. It is an easy walk to train stops and twenty minutes into Grand Central. The only thing i have to complaint is that I ordered a two bed room. but when we reached there, they could only give me a king bed

Stayed on the second floor and music below us was so loud the bass rattled the vents past midnight. Asked front desk for room exchange because the music kept our us and our 16 months up. Front desk was not accomidating without an explanation.

The hotel was very clean and quiet for the duration of our stay. We just needed a getaway from all the hustle and bustle of the city to just relax and enjoy each other's company. We were impressed and we will be going back for another getaway soon.

Though this is a lower-level hotel, we did expect that if hotels.com said there was a pool, then there should indeed be a pool. There currently is no pool, so the anticipation of the kids made this a great disappointment. Wish I had been told the real story before booking.

I arrived early -- 9 AM. There was no room available yet, and I was expecting that, since published check-in time is 3 PM. (It was necessary for me to take a very early flight into LGA.) However, the front desk personnel told me that they would try to get a room made up for me within the next hour and a half. To kill time, I had breakfast in the hotel […] restaurant, and then waited in the lobby. The time turned out to be more like two and a half hours. Again, I am not faulting the hotel for that -- they still had my room available several hours prior to their stated check-in time. I'm confident that everything possible was done to get me into my room as quickly as possible. Later that afternoon, I phoned the front desk to request a taxi into Manhattan. The taxi was ready and waiting several minutes before promised. In short, I am quite pleased with the service that I received here, and would not hesitate to stay here again. Leer más

We stayed for 3 days and had a positive experience at this hotel. It is very close to the subway (5-7 min. walk). You may read reviews that talk about how shady the neighborhood is. To me these reviews sound over-exaggerated. We walked back from the subway at 1am on two occasions and never felt vulnerable. Hotel / room /bathrooms were very clean and […] well maintained. Great hotel with a caring and efficient staff. The room was very clean and comfortable. The restaraunt and bar were very good with excellent fare and decent prices. The only negative is that the hotel is not in a good neighborhood and it is several blocks away from public transportation which requires walking through that same bad neighborhood.

I got lost finding the hotel but was very delighted once I arrived. Will return again.

The Holiday Inn was a pleasant surprise, it is not in the heart in Manhattan but it is comfortable, clean, and very friendly. The subway is just 4 blocks away which is convenient.

great spot to go to a Mets game. easy walk tgo and from the stadium. hotel staff very helpful and friendly. I will stay here again

My a/c broke down during the 102 degree heat wave and needed a place quickly. I live in the area and was familiar with the restaurant and knew there was on street parking I picked the Holiday Inn. I was pleasantly surprised. Needed a handicapped room which was great as was the bedding and pillows. Pool and fitness center looked great.

I enjoyed the swimming pool at the hotel.The Gift Shop was closed all the time I was there in the building.I enjoy the restaurant for breakfast & the uniforms they wore.The hotel was really conveient to New York City Bus & Subway service that runs 24 hours a day.I used Amtrak & the New York City Subway to get to & from the hotel on the days of my arrival […] & departure. The hotel was very nice. It was hard to find evan our gps had us goofed up. The bar was nice. We felt very safe walking to and from the Mets game at night.

Great proximity to Laguardia airport! They even provide a complimentary shuttle service every 20 minutes. Nice hotel with very comfortable beds. Its just in a real shady neighborhood! But regardless it was nice!

Very clean. Close to 7 train subwy to Times Square. Very friendly staff who ae always eager to help.

Great location if you need something close to Laguardia. Courteous and very helpful staff. Rooms were clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel is clean, easy access to LGA, Mets stadium, 7 train. And it has a pool - this must be one of the only hotels in NYC at this price that offers a pool.

Just looked online for an inexpensive hotel near the airport and not too scary. Ended up with a nice hotel, great updated room, very clean, great service at front desk. Only down side was the walk at 11PM from 111th station to the hotel with my suitcase. A little scary. Very easy and free ride to airport in the morning was perfect.

The Hotel is good and they have a restaurant and transportation to La Guardia Airport

We got stuck with a cancelled flight Sunday night and had to find a place to stay. This hotel was fantastic, clean,comfortable, outstanding prompt service, and great food. Highly recommend it!

Very close to both the LaGuardia Airport and the #7 Subway line. Friendly staff and nice hotel rooms, but thin walls.

Staff was very courteous and overly helpful. Bus runs to the airport every 20 minutes which I had to use on 2 occassions while there. Restaurant / Sportsbar in the hotel was a nice surprise to get such high quality, fresh and tasty Italian food compared to your typical pub fare. I recommend this hotel to whom wanted to live near by La Guardia Airport and have his own car because there is no good resturant near by and no cab , they only have call cab service which is expensive other wise hotel is good

I read a lot of reviews about the neighborhood surrounding the hotel, so I was a tad worried before getting there. We stayed one night in this HI to break up a long transit from Amsterdam to Albuquerque. The hotel is very clean and well managed. Our request for an early check-in was accommodated.
