Excelente relación calidad precio.La única pega es que está un poco alejado del Strip.

I went to Vegas for my birthday and I stayed at the Cal. I chose the Cal because it fell within my price range. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was big but the tub was small...lol. But overall I enjoyed my stay at The Cal.

Great location in downtown Vegas. Laid back Hawaiian attitude. Friendly bartenders at the poker bars and dealers at the games. Best cafe in all of downtown!!! Be sure to get the Loco Moco!!! Connected via walking bridge to the Main St. Station, which is a must see if you;re downtown. It's chock full of antiques and is gorgeous!!! Also, the comp card […] is good for California, Main St. Freont St, and several other off-strip properties. Shuttle service several times daily to Sam's Town Casino and to the Strip (Harrahs). Only real downside was that room service was available for breakfast only. Would definitely stay here again. Leer más

Enjoyed staying at The Cal. Workers are friendly and the food selection is good too! Not bad for an older hotel.

My stay here would have been more favorable if you get what you requested..I had to stay in a smoking room on a smoking floor because there wasn't one available for non-smoking until the next day..

we stayed here for 3 nites for a quick getaway. The beds were fatastic and comfy. the hotel definately caters to the Hawaiian crowd, so being a Canuck we didn't get the best service. Exepct from the waitress in the Keno longe, Tita - who was friendly, helpful and always kept our glasses full!!! free parking was great to have too. close to the outlet […] mall which was great for shopping, and it was an outdoor one, which is perfect if you are in need of fresh air. You can take the bus for $7 which gives you a 24 hour pass, and that takes you right down the strip.. you meet intersting folks this way, and get more stories to tell when you get home. Leer más

The Cal is great. Free WI-FI at the next door Main Street Station (sister property) for guests of both hotels. Great food at low prices. The Prime Rib Special is great at the Coffee Shop, and it includes salad bar and desert for under ten bucks. Steakhouse is also great. Check out is Noon, not 11am like nearby hotels. If you like Hawaii and Hawaiians […] - this is the hotel for you. They have that Aloha spirit. When staying Downtown this or the Golden Nugget are my choices. Leer más

great room. I go there for the access to the exotic island food in three cafes.

While the hotel overall was comfortable and very convenient, the Market Cafe was "nothing to write home about." The food and service were only so-so. The primary reasons we chose this hotel was location (right off Fremont street) and the rate. Poorly maintained. Hair from previous occupant next to sink. Used shower cap in shower stall. Something brown splattered on bathroom wall. Heating/air-conditioning unit non-functional. So smoky, even the "smoke-free" floor reeked like cigarettes. On the other hand, bed was OK. Ironing board & hair dryer worked well.

We were very much PLEASED with our stay at the california hotel in Las Vegas...they really cater to the locals from Hawai'i. The restaurants, staff, and casino floor were AWESOME..definitely sdtaying there again! My cousin stayed at the Fremont, and I noticed our room at teh Cal was MUCH more spacious.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in Valet Parking, Bellhop I think thats what they are called took our luggage to our room you have to tip them but its worth it. The room was very nice modern TV comfy bed. Clean towels everyday, not far from Freemont street where a lot happens in the nights time. Location is good for Seniors who don't have too far to walk between Casinos. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were satisfactory and clean. Food was good, especially the Hawaiian dishes. Gambling here was soso, I didn't hit anything big but did not lose too much either.

I was very pleased with our stay. The room was clean and everything worked. The staff was friendly and answered all out questions about the area attractions at length and eagerly. We got a wonderful rate through Hotels.com, but unfortunately it was only for one night since these was a convention during the weekend and so the rates quadrupled or were […] sold out for the following nights. The only negative thing I might say is that they put a hold for $ 50 on my credit card without advising me they were going to do that, even though the reservation was prepaid and so far the authorization has not been removed even though we checked out four days ago. RIGHT NEXT TO FREEMONT STREET EXPERIENCE NICE HOTEL COMFORTABLE BEDS AND NICE TV THOUGH NO BUFFET BUT THERE IS ONE NEXT DOOR AT ANOTHER CASINO THAT IS ATTACHED BY AN BRIDGE WALKWAY SO YOU DONT REALLY HAVE TO LEAVE HOTEL.

California hotel may not be four stars but it is a great place to stay for the price, especially if you are from Hawaii.

Located downtown, old school Vegas. Staff was nice, room was meh. Got a great rate for the night, couldn't beat the price.

The Cal is always a good choice. The only real problem we had was with the key cards. They stop working for no reason and the front desk insisted that the dead bolt was set when it wasn't. Most of the staff were friendly, and some were oddly detached from the task at hand (dealers). But the price is right and the Aloha Specialty cafe is very good.

I have stayed here many times on business trips and this was the worst experience to date. When I arrived at hotel at 11:00pm I was told I had to wait for my room as they were 100% full - I was shocked that my room was not available at 11:00 pm, to say the least I was tired and not too excited about waiting around...they gave me no additional help other […] than saying to wait which I did for 30 minutes. I guess you get what you pay but I was not impressed. Will not stay here again due to this one instance. Leer más

We enjoyed everything including the food. The only problem was dirty trash cans when we checked in I'm sure was just an oversite by the maids they quickly remedy it. overall we like the hotel.

It is not convinent to park.

This hotel has very friendly staff and is in great condition. It is in downtown Vegas, and although the hotel is older, they keep it in great condition. I will definitely stay there again. It is not too far from the freeway and the Strip.

great value for the downtown area

If youre looking for a quiet, off the strip hotel with not a ton of frills, this is a nice place to stay. The room was clean and quiet except for the a/c. The rates are very good and the hotel staff was helpful. The tv's in room are older and the screens are not hi-def. I guess we get spoiled by having all hi defs at home.

Hotel room was clean, in good condition, and well-priced. The location of the hotel is one block away from the Fremont Street Experience - it's a great location for people who cannot walk far (i.e. between the mega-casinos on the strip). There is enough variety of souvenir shops, casinos, entertainment, and restaurants on Fremont Street to suffice. […] We did drive to The Strip a few times to sightsee, and it is a quick drive on and off the freeway. Going to Vegas is always fun, but staying on the strip is sometimes a pain. At the Cal, you don't get all the amenities of the nicer places on the strip, but the environment is pretty relaxing and does not feel as rushed. In the end, I spend most of my time out or gambling, so I don't always need the 5 star luxuries. In fact, the money you save on hotels, […] you can spend on shows... and in Vegas, there are plenty of good shows. Also, we love eating at Aloha Specialties at the Cal... good comfort food!!! Always a good time at the Cal hotel. We are from Hawaii and usually stay at the hotels in downtown Las Vegas. We love the Cal. Very friendly and lots of local food for the Hawaii locals.

easy to get from the freeway.......our room was cozy...and comfortable. The service was good didn't get a chance to eat there... First time to Fremont street , and it was a short walk away...we usually stay on the strip....but ..i will stay there again...good job...staff

been coming to this hotel for the past 15 years and wouldn't stay any where else. My husband and me are always satisfied to stay here.

I'm from Hawaii and it was like being at home at the California Hotel. The staff all showed the aloha spirit andthey were so nice and helpful. They went above and beyond when I was having computer problems, they let me use the executive office computer to print my shipping labels and one of there office personal offered to take my packages to the post […] office for me. I will definatly stay there whenever I am in Vegas. Leer más

We always play and eat at the CAL when we come into town, but never stayed because it's never available. Finally able to reserve a room, and it was decent. No smell, clean, and the service was quick when we needed anything. And with "Aloha Specialties" on the Mezzanine level, can't complain... broke da mouth grinds!! It's definitely not the flashiest […] hotel in Vegas, but as often as we go, the flashiness gets old. Just need a place to sleep and shower anyway, so the CAL is perfect for a simple stay. Leer más

This hotel was a great place to stay for what we paid for it. The location was close to Fremont St and it was simply to drive from there to the strip. The only thing was that the bathroom fan wasn't working. We asked the managemtn to fix it but unfortuately wasn't fixed. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay.
