llegamos el 23/8/2011 estuvimos dos noches,la recepcionista del hotel nos pregunto d¡si hablamos español o ingles ,le digimos que no yarugo el morro,parecia que no tenia mucho entusiasmo al hablar ni tampoco fue nada amable ni tampoco llamo a nadie que supiera algo de español.yo no tengo porque saber ingles se supone que un recepcionista si no es uno […] o otro tienen que dominar varios idiomas y si no vale para eso que se dedique a otra cosa.cuando volvimos a la habitacion papeles tirados por el suelo que no habian recogido,la cama a medio hacer y super puesta fatal.lo digimos en recepcion,pidieron el numero de habitacion y esperando que harian algo y al volver todo exactamente igual,ni la habian tocado.no lo recomiendo caro mala atencion y mala limpieza Leer más

Very helpfull and pleasant staff, but it's very annoying that construction work at the next floor went on until 8 pm in the evening, when you are trying to relax and prepare for next days meeting - that's simply not good enough. Bathrooms are extremely small and you almost need a strategy on how to enter and exit (...and just to clarify, I am normal […] slim size.....) Location is great - no doubt, and if you are into seightseeing you are located basically at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. Breakfast is expensive though, almost $30, which is a bit steep considering that you have 5 nice caffees 2 min.walk away from the lobby that provides nice breakfast at much lower cost.....Much better bargain. For the price that we payed per night, I don't think one can get a much better room. Very clean, comfortable beds and free internet. It's a 10-15 minutes walk to the more central parts of Paris but the subway is close by if you feel like being lazy. We definitively recommend it.

Hotel is in excellent location to see the sites of Paris. Staff extremely helpful with everything, particularly when we needed to print some last minute tickets for Moulin Rouge which we had only booked the day before. Staff speak excellent English and we will be certainly be using this hotel again on our next visit to Paris.

Thsi hotel is a block and a half south of the Eiffel Tower yet it's quiet. So you are close to where you need to be, and plenty of restaruants and grocery stores nearby. Free wireless, that's cool. Room is decent sized, so is the bathroom. Quiet when i was sleeping too. Reasonably priced rooms makes this a perfect choice. It's a long ways from the Louvre […] and Notre Dame but you can't be close to both those sights and the Eiffel Tower. Leer más

Me and my girlfriend are a young couple of only 20 and we stayed in the mercure Paris hotel from the 10th of November till the 14th as a holiday sight seeing hotel. We were more than satisfied with this hotel and would gladly return. The rooms were smallish but cozy and modern, the location is about a 2 minute walk from the Eiffel tower which you can […] see from most of the rooms.Metro was close( about 2 mins away) and the Paris open top tour bus drives on the road beside the hotel. It brings you everywhere in Paris (chanse elysee, notre dame, opera, town centre ,tour Eiffel , arc de triomph , and a lot more. Staff where friendly and multi lingual. And taxis to almost anywhere in paris cost at the most €10. Which is fantastic value to see the sights. The only down side is when we checked in we where told something by the receptionist about breakfast but neither me or my girlfriend could really understand her accent. It turned out that breakfast was not included in the 4 night stay and it was an additional €19.50 per person per day!!?. It came to €156 for 4 days . But to be fare the selection and quality was second to none and for that reason I wouldn't let it effect my opinion of this hotel. Just a warning to those who it would . This hotel is currently undergoing renovation. We got a great rate on the room, but it was in the older part so the room looked like an old Quality Inn. However, the staff was great and they were accommodating and providing a 3rd bed in the room for our child. The breakfast buffet is expensive, but had a lot of options and perfect for kids as well.

the only thing i was disappointed with was the reception staff.when i asked for more coffee sachets and milk i was told i was not allowed as i was not in a premiem room,this was very disappointing for a 4 star hotel which i expected more,i said so why is there a kettle in the room then he said you go to the supermarket and buy your own.very rude.

Great location a block from either the RER or Metro stations. 2 blocks from Eiffel Tower. Friendly staff and very modern hotel and rooms. Only drawback is that our room was very small and somewhat silly bathroom. It reminded me of a cruise ship cabin. Free wireless internet.

This hotel was convenient and very close to the Eiffel Tower and bus transportation. It was also very clean with good restaurants nearby. However, the hotel staff stopped just short of being rude. They were not at all helpful with questions or directions. We were not told if breakfast was included. The first two mornings we ate the limited buffet breakfast. […] On the third morning, my husband asked if breakfast was included with our rate. We were told we had no balance. The next day we found out we were being charged over $50.00 each day for the crummy breakfast. Then they tried to charge us for the fourth breakfast we did not even eat. Our room was dated but clean. They were still in process of a remodel. I thought they would be further along based on other reviews. They started construction in the morning and you could hear it so if you are planning to sleep in you might want to pick another hotel. Had issues with getting our adapters to work in the outlets. Modern hotel. Clean & functional. Disappointed that there was no view of the Eiffel Tower despite the proximity. Rooms sufficient for the purpose since we were out sight-seeing all the time. If you're looking for French charm dont book this hotel. If you're looking for a clean, reasonably priced place to stay close to the Eiffel Tower, it's fine.

Had a 3 person room. The small bed very uncomfortable and had to put mattress on floor. Had a lot of junk under the small bed.

Love the location, love the decor and cleanliness of the room. But the service isn't too good. Staff at the reception reluctant to help and not very friendly. Not sure if it's a standard behaviour of Paris service staff or was it because we are Asians. I would tend to think of the latter because we come across them speaking to the other guests non-Asian […] and their attitude was different. The only other complaint I have is the shower. Water temperature kept changing, and we spent most of the time in the shower adjusting the tap mixer. Otherwise, everything else was excellent! Just pity about the service attitude. Leer más

The hotel was a great price, and a superb location! Eiffel tower a very short walk away. There are markets and cafes all around. Transportation is easily accessed by bus, metro and batobus. (boat) Our room was a bit tired looking, desperately in need of renovation. On our floor, half of it was partitioned off, so perhaps they are working on that? But […] it was clean and there was good closet space. Good shower/bath with a separate toilet room. Very dirty rooms, stains on the carpeting and the furniture. Ran out of pillows and wash cloths and I know it's France, but the AC didn't work. It was 90F out. Without a second window or a balcony or something that isn't a good formula for success.

This hotel has a very good location - just a 5-minute leisurely walk to the Eiffel. Lots of restaurants in the vicinity which means lots of dining choices for guests. However, I think the hotel needs significant refurbishing - the carpets are soiled, the wallpapers are peeling and the rooms need a fresh coat of paint. However, I did notice that the […] other wing of the hotel looks like it has been refurbished recently with new carpets and better lighting in the corridors. Not a four star property small rooms, food at the restaurant expensive and ordinary. Dining and shopping in the surrounding area expensive due to close proximity to the Eiffel Tower.

I stayed at this hotel on a business trip back in 2004. It's 5 minutes walking distance from the Eiffel Tower, and you can see the tower from the entrance to the hotel. It's a great little "boutique" -type hotel. Friendly staff, wonderful restaurants & bar area. Lots of amenities, including free Wi-Fi Internet! We were also given a couple tickets for […] a river cruise as part of our room package (I had no idea that this was included or offered!). SUPER! The only "down" side to this trip is that they are doing lots of renovations & remodeling to the area of the hotel where we were housed. While noise & interruptions were well-marked in signs by the elevators, the fact remains that it was a bit disruptive to our trip. Had I known prior to our visit that such extensive work was being done on the hotel, I would have either asked for a room away from the renovations, or simply have chosen a different property for this trip. Regardless, we will definitely be back to Paris - and definitely choose the Mercure Paris Suffren Tour Eiffel as our hotel!! You won't be disappointed! Leer más

Hotel very nice, room was great, location great. Only downside was the food and service in the Lounge....both very very poor.

The hotel is in a great location, pity about the run down nature once you get past the lobby. Paint coming off walls, and in very poor condition. Bathrooms have been renovated so they are acceptable but such a shame to be let down by other aspects of the hotel. The room was great value for money, especially within a 5 minute walk of the Eiffel Tower. The hallways were being refurbish/repainted, and didn't smell too good. But the room was fantastic, the hotel was in impeccable shape, and again, 5 minutes to the Eiffel Tower!

Don't expect too much help getting luggage to and from your room. Expect high prices for snacks, etc. Rooms are old and musty with smelly tap water. Location is great, but long way from the airport which is pricey. Shuttle porters are rude and make up prices as they go along.

The hotel is two blocks from the Eiffel tower in and nice area of Paris. When we arriced the cooks were in the lobby banging on drums as they were striking for some reason however all was quiet around noon. Our floor had a sewer odor in the hallway but not in the rooms. The hotel is perfectly located to see a number of the great attractions of Paris. In addition, the hotel staff was friendly& very helpful. Areas for improvement- while the lobby areas are in great condition, our room wasn't... carpets were dirty & the overall room was a little "worn" looking.

The hotel is located in a great location, close to public transit that is easy to use. Close to a mall, may eating places from bakery to great dinners. We stayed in the upper hotel, which you have to get to by cable car. If your a person in a hurry do not stay in the upper section. The cable car is slow but the upper rooms are nice and roomy. The only […] time this was a problem was during check in and out rush times. BEWARE. the hotel parking for a car was super high. Around A$300 for the week, and was not a charge mentioned. Shocked to fund that charge. The breakfast is good but you need to be a big eater to really get the value. Most of the staff was helpful, a few were a bit snooty. Overall it was good, the staff helped with a day trip, gave directions and for the most part were nice. Patricia was great to us, but did not realized we could understand her and not so sweet to the employees. Skip the massage, not a great room and not very inviting. If your from the U.S. it might be more than your use to. They do not see the need for cover sheets :) Walking from the hotel a few short blocks to the hub was easy and I always felt safe, even at night. The hotel room we had was a suite so we had room to move and a good view. We were there a week so it made it easy to be in the room and not feel crowded. Great little pasty bar/ deli in the lobby. This would be a GREAT hotel with a little update in the rooms, but this could be just Prague. I have no other hotel stay to compare this to in the area. I stayed here for its proximity to the Eifel Tower and it has that - 4 minute walk from room to the base of the Tower. Lots of brasseries in the area. Now, maybe I'm jaded, but the hotel was really in need of a facelift. The general reception area is nice - modern. Then I got off of the 4th floor elevator - the halls were really ghetto looking- trashed, […] decaying wall paper, holes in the wall in places. The room was not as run down, but not really that clean. Baseboards were disgusting and the mold in the caulk in the shower was....special. The sheets on the bed fortunately seemed fresh and very clean. The help at the front desk was reasonably polite, but did give me the feeling that I was bothering them in my two different, 1-minute interactions with them. Like it was just SUCH an effort... So my recommendation for this place is solely on its location. Very nice hotel within two minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and close to subway and bus lines. I'll be back again to this one!

The Mecure is in a great location. We did only need to take a short walk from the hotel to see the Eiffel Tower, & & to be at the Eiffel Tower is a 4 minute walk. The hop on/off bus & canal rides are at the Eiffel Tower & across the street. The tube is a few minutes away as well. We enjoyed the hotel, the staff were helpful, but seemed many were in […] training. They may be staff able to communicate in many different languages and not English. A couple of small markets are out the back, excellent fruit. We live in Hawaii, so we found the prices very reasonable, think in euros not U.S. $ $. A great 3 course meal with wine ran 25 e.- tipping not encouraged by our local friends. No difficulties in communicating, had many approach us asking if we needed assistance, at the train & metro/tube stations. We felt safe & secure, not very many visitors appearing pick pocket worried. My wife felt safe after a coupe of days & she noticed others not appearing over protective. Great price. A horde of vendors great visitors at these spots. I spent two full days and 1 night in Paris. My room was the basic room, small but clean. I checked for bugs and other disgusting things and found none in my room. Bathroom, beds, carpet, under the bed, window, clean. Only stayed 1 night. People spoke english, enough to get by and that was very helpful. Ate breakfast in the hotel, really good. People […] were friendly. The area is clean and you feel safe. Hotel is about 3 normal blocks away from the tower. I feel the water there tastes good however it's like Mexico, don't do it, buy and only use bottled water or you'll be hitting the bathroom. Which brings up another point, for many of the tourists points, bathrooms are few. Make sure you go before leaving the hotel or when you eat use them there. We took the Eurostar from London and started in Gard Du Nord train station. Before coming to France, have your Euros already. I did but did not have coins. You need coins, most machines don't accept US ATM or Credit cards, they use a SmartCard type card. You need coins for the subway, very few booths to help you and even then they don't speak any english. Get a good map before coming to Paris. I bought a book from Borders Book Store, small book, Lonely Planet called Paris Encounter - E02 with a pull out map, the best map. Map had every little street in old Paris, by Notre Dame, 4th Arr. Also, be aware of pick-pocket people, they work in 2's. They are also gypsy type people there, they try to give you things and if you accept, they won't leave you alone until you pay or they pick pocket you. They are out in all the tourists areas. Pay attention walking around, lots of bikes, cars, and scooters. You can easily get hit or cause an accident. Most people dress nice, men usually with slacks and shows. Ladies dress well too. A lot of the attractions are on a powdery sand/dirt mixture, so expect the shoes or your feet to get very dusty. This hotel is a stones throw away from the Eiffel Tower. It is convinently located next to the Metro station, so if you are entering Paris by Rail or Air, you can take the Metro all the way. The hotel gave complimentary tickets for a cruise on the Seine. The breakfast spread was good and scrumptuous.I would most certainly recommend this place.

The lobby and restaurant/lounge are very nice in this hotel, too bad the rooms aren't even close to the quality of the community areas. The rooms are dingy and smell like mold but at least they have private bathrooms and showers and decent sized beds. You can't complain about the location, it was perfect. The staff was relatively helpful, but they don't […] mention you need to insert the key in a slot on the wall to run the electricity in the room and in order to turn on the TV you hold down the "2" button instead of power on the remote. This hotel is quite bad. Almost everyone I spoke to in the hotel had booked online and was not happy. One couple actually came over uninitiated and said: "Have you been to your room yet? . . . Don't expect much .. worst hotel we've stayed in." Now the hotel wasn't as bad as they described. But for the price they are charging the room were small and […] ill equipped. Don't book this hotel. I liked that the hotel is in a great location, helpful staff, and great breakfast buffet if you want to eat at the hotel at a good price for your euros.

this hotel have a big difference between picture and reality. the room is very old. I paid a adittional amount for a room with view to the tower but not better room.
