"Total Quality"
Hotel is extremely business friendly, all amenities, friendly staff. Bar prices 30% over average, food was well prepared.
"Hotel convenient to Stony Brook University"
The hotel was a good value and in general I was satisfied. The hotel does have some structural issues. It was raining and the roof was leaking in several common areas in the hotel. The wall in my roof had water marks on it and the carpet was damp near the window. Otherwise it was clean and no other issues.

Everything was as expected. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Room was clean and needs were addressed promptly .

Can't explain how good my experiecece was! The pricing should change a little bit though. I did not like paying extra fees for checking in EARLY, makes no sense to me. But other than that, I loved it!

"Dirty Rooms"
The first room we were placed in had vomit on the curtains and burn hole on the blankets. The second room we were placed in had an horrible sewer smell. The third room was OK but I would not recommend nor would I stay there again .

"Long Island @ Wind Watch Golf Club"
The staff was very nice and accommodating. The hotel has two issues; The air conditioning unit in the room was running but the room was only mildly comfortable. The thermostat was set 60 but the room was near 80 the entire time. I never mentioned it to the staff as I was rarely in the room during my stay. Also on the last day of my stay I visited the […] pool area and what looked to me was that someone defecated in both the jacuzzi as well as the indoor pool. we mentioned it to a staff member and it was confirmed that someone had indeed defecated in the pools. "Mixed feelings"
When no bellman was available to help with my luggage, I was very turned off. However, most of the rest of the stay wasn't bad. The carpeting in the hallways have seen better days and needs to be cleaned. When I complained about noisy guests, the desk staff was very helpful and responsive.
Weekdays they had coffee in the dining section available for the early risers (like myself) not sure why they did not continue that practice on the weekends. I ended up driving to Starbucks, but heck, it was just a cup of coffee. The coffee in the room was very weak.

"HYATT WINDWATCH"
This was not what we had hoped for a Hyatt property. The services are very limited, the rooms had signs of wear and tear, had to call for extra towels-which arrived quickly but filled with lint. Horrible view of banquet hall rooftop with trash on it. No safe in room or minibar. The halls smelled like smoke from an "illegal" substance. Overall it was […] mostly quiet, which was a nice surprise, since a pair of new earplugs had been left on the bed. Beds were super comfy.....I slept all night without hearing anything from any neighboors or people in the hallway. Great hotel....
"Long Island"
Hotel was wonderful. A bit too much noise from youngsters at 1 a.m. Did not notify desk, was not aware hotel had security, but was informed by desk clerk upon check out. I was otherwise very satisfied.
"Med School Graduation"
The hotel staff was very accomodating in getting us wine glasses and allowing us to use wine from local wineries to have a small private gift opening party in their lobby. The only negative we saw was an overpriced buffet for breakfast. The price was way to high for what was included.

The hotel itself is beautiful and very comfortable. Friendly staff were welcoming and helpful. However, my room was on the 4th floor right by the elevators. I could hear the elevators going up and down all day and night. Also, the bathroom wasn't as clean as expected. The toilet paper holder was broken, and there was mildew in the shower. The carpet […] was spotted and stained in many places. Lastly, I could hear my next door neighbor walking in his room, talking on the phone, snoring and using the bathroom. Needless to say, this wasn't exactly a peaceful or relaxing environment. Hotel was clean. Nice helpful staff. Upon request you can get a smoking room (which is hard to find in NY) free fridge or microwave. They have a small shop in the lobby to pick up drinks, snacks, magazines... I strongly recommend you drive to Walmart instead. Prices are outrages in the lobby though hotel room was very cheap. "Nice Hotel"
I stayed at the Hyatt Wind Watch 12/4/09 - 12/6/09. Price was good. Location Great. My only complaint was there was supposed to be an ice machine on the 8th floor, but it was gone. I went to the 9th floor, ice machine was empty. I went to the 7th floor, and finally found a working ice machine. Overall, good experience.

"Observations"
All in all it's a beautiful hotel but I was uncomfortable of the fact that in the lobby a man was sitting reading with his shoes off and his feet on a coffee table. You could also use more light in the bathroom. And there was none in the shower.

I stayed at this hotel when it opened several years ago It was even nicer than I remember. I will stay there again.

"Needs some improvement"
I have good and bad feelings about this hotel. The good is that the staff in the restaurant and bar were extremely friendly, helpful and a delight no matter the time of day or night. The bad is that the room cleanliness left much to be desired. I discovered a used linen napkin in the drawer of the night table with ashes in the drawer. I wrote a large […] note and placed it on the drawer so that it could be cleaned. When I returned to my room, the note was never moved or read. I assumed the cleaning person did not read English nor did she care to find out what the note was about. On the next day, I returned to my room after it had been "cleaned" to find the ice bucket with water in it (melted ice) so it was obvious that area had not been cleaned. The beds were made by pulling up the sheets, comforter, etc. without really straightening the sheets - something I would not do in my home. The pillows were not touched, just stacked, so the bottom pillows were flat. I was not happy with this type of room service. Overall, the hotel is in need of renovation. Leer más

Not much around this area to do, but the restaurant's food is excellent, the two pools were fun to swim in, and it was very clean. The price I found on hotels.com was only $10 more than the gross Econolodge!

"Great room, lousy restaurant"
My husband and I were there for our anniversary. The room was clean and comfortable. The health club was top notch. The restaurant however was a disappointment. We were there for dinner and breakfast the next morning. We saw a waiter touch bread with his bare hands before placing it on a plate and heating it up. Our courses were served out of order […] (entre before appetizer) and they could have done a better job monitoring the coffee/tea station for cleanliness, supplies etc. Stay there, eat elsewhere. "No free WIFI??"
I just believe that a hotel thats classified as high end should have more of the basics for free that some lowered priced, just as nice, hotels have. Such as free WIFI, a microwave & mini-fridge. I understand from the front desk I would have to upgrade my room just to get these things. I made the reservation to this hotel through Hotels.com to save […] money & was able to get it for the same price as another hotel I normally stay at for the same price. By the time I was out of this hotel it averaged out to be another $20 more than If I stayed at my normal hotel per day. Leer más
"Needs Improvement"
I was there visiting family, my parents also had a room there. The carpets were all stained in the hallways, my parents door would stick shut (maintenance came up and drilled for a while to fix it). The prices for breakfast were ridiculous. I got charged a lot of money for a glass of OJ and three pieces of bacon, that's it. We were there for three nights […] and in our hallway was a big pile of crumbs. When we were leaving, that pile was still there. Nobody vacuumed for 3 days. Leer más
"real nice"
It was a great location for us, near old friends. Hotel was clean and the indoor pool was great because it rained a bit. The grounds are nice and well maintained, the rooms very comfortable, all in all a very nice stay.

Lobby & rewstaurant was hot & humid all 3 days we stayed. Restaurant staff & room service was mediocre. Lunch was insipid & service was slow.
