"Not Bad, But The Devil Is In The Details"

Little things mean a lot when you're traveling, and a few details kept the Silver Cloud from being our favorite hotel experience. For starters, the bed sheets and towels were scratchy. The layout of the tiny bathroom had my wife and I constantly in each other's way. The mattress was uncomfortable. Other than that the hotel staff was, without exception, courteous and helpful. We'd probably stay there again if the price was right, but these devilish details I described might make more discerning travelers think twice.

excellent value. the room was clean and roomy. The Aveda products were a nice touch too. I wasn't impressed with the continental style breakfast however. The selection wasn't so great, maybe add a hot tray of omelets, or bacon or something. the hotel was full, and could not get to the waffle maker. There was a small issue with the maid entering unannounced as I exited the bathroom. Fortunately I was in a towel.

"Wedding Weekend"

We were in town for a wedding that was split between Bellvue and Issaquah. We ended up here because it was almost impossible to find a hotel with two queen beds. The hotel was well situated for the schedule. The staff was friendly and service was good. Breakfast was reasonable for a free breakfast and the room was spacious for the four of us. I would strongly recomend this hotel if the location works for you.

Our room was clean and comfortable. There was a renovation project in process, which while mildly inconvenient, did not hamper the hospitality of those who helped us. It would be helpful when booking a hotel online to know when there is construction going on in the place you plan to stay. All that said, I would recommend this hotel.

"Way better than staying in the expensive Marriott Hotels down the road"

We stayed here for an early baseball game at Marymoor park. It might not have been quite as close as the Marriott hotels are in Redmond Town Centre, but it was only about a 3 or 4 minute drive to the park. A lot less expensive too. Large, comfy, clean rooms. Free breakfast! Free parking! We liked the lobby kitty.

I actually stayed there on 2 separate stays in the same week. My reservation was for a deluxe suite, they tried to give me a regular room. Price was high for the room (an oversized version of the regular room with an extra flatscreen and kitchenette). Beds were very hard (great if you like that) and room temperature hard to control with in wall unit under windows. Even with our online reservation we had to fill out all the forms to sign, after waiting for them to be printed (if you reserve online, they wait to print). If I'd had a few more dollars, I would have picked a different hotel. Employees had a difficult time handling multiple tasks (2 tries to get working keycards).

I have spoken to my Front Office Manager regarding your experience when you arrived and she has discussed this with the front desk agent who checked you in. I do apologize for having you go through a wait for your hotel registration forms. It looks like one of your reservations was made at 11:45 AM on the same day and by the time you arrived, we had not received written notification from Hotels.com regarding your second reservation. We are going to be more diligent with checking on same day reservations in the future. It might also interest you to know that we are continuously re-training our team members on how to deliver warm, friendly, courteous and efficient guest service. I have asked my Chief Engineer to check the air conditioning units of the rooms that you and your other guests occupied to make sure that their are in perfect working order. It was also unfortunate that we were having problems with our key making machine on the day of your arrival. That problem has been fixed since then. I wish to thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback. It is through feedback from valued guests like you that we are able to improve our services and facilities. Our goal is to make sure that our guests leave our hotel happy and 100% satisfied and we are hoping that you will give us another chance to show you this. "Nice room for the money"

This hotel is not easy to find but then Redmond is not the most navigable city. The hotel is located near Microsoft, which is convenient, and it's near a lot of big box stores and shopping centers. It's not the kind of hotel you'd want to stay at if you want a nice, quiet, out of the way location. It's clean and modern, the staff is friendly, and the continental self-serve breakfast is fine. For the rate, this was a good choice.

Second time we've stayed at Silver Cloud in Redmond. We'll stay there again. Lots of stores and restaurants surrounding it and conviently located next to freeways. Wonderful staff, friendly, helpful and a great breakfast!

The Redmond Silver Cloud had a lobby cat while I was there. Not overly friendly, but good for the kitty fix while I was away from home. The hotel was a good value for the price and rating group. I stayed there for a business trip and will return to the property.

Each room has comfortable beds, and large 42" Plasma screens. The drive to Down Town is not too bad for the price. Most of the drive is over beautiful lake Washington. I would stay here again instead of paying double for less hotel closer to down town.

I had a mixed experience at the Silver Cloud Redmond. The best feature is the very short drive to the Microsoft campus, where I attended a 3-day conference. (Well, that and the lobby cat, a handsome, clean, and mellow little beast who cheered me up each day.) The rate I got was among the lowest offered in the area, and the free WiFi was a help. OTOH, the downsides: Some of the front-desk staff were not very familiar with the neighborhood, or how to navigate to points of interest nearby. Some had a bit of trouble speaking English clearly. No one was rude, just a little bit less than completely helpful. The room had an odd industrial-cleaning-solution smell, and I kept the window open for that reason. That made it necessary to wear earplugs to combat the traffic and construction noise outside. The room had no cross-ventilation (like most hotel rooms) and the console vent/AC/heating unit was noisy and not very effective . All-in-all, an adequate place to sleep, but I'm glad I didn't spend too much time in the room. One final hint: be sure to take a GPS unit to find your way around. The layout of the streets in this area is chaotic!

The hotel is clean, our room was beautiful. For the rate it was great, The fornt desk does not have the best service. We checked in it took almost 15 min for someone to come to the front desk. I had to go to the guest phone & call the front desk to get some one to show up. Besides that it was great.

good location and under ordinary conditions this would be a good place to stay but smell of paint, rug glue, lots of workmen, piles of old carpet made it not worth the money; no one told us that there was a breakfast, parking in back kept us out of lobby, stumbled on breakfast by accident, that said, the ladies working the breakfast buffet were very nice, the front desk folks were not very friendly or welcoming

Had all the usually amenities. Clean and comfortable. The cat kept me company when I couldn't sleep.
