Estuve de vacaciones con mi familia en junio 2011 el hotel muy bonito su lobby y la habitación con todas las comodidades, micro onda, refrigerador. Desayuno muy bueno. el traslado gratis a la estación de Metro New Carrollton excelente!! en 5 minutos y de ahí a DC en apenas 15 - 20 min. En esta estación también es para Amtrak Train por lo que nos ayudo […] a luego tomar el tren hacia New york City y pasar otros días alla. El hotel no tiene un restaurante pero si hay lugares cerca y se puede pedir por telefono a diferentes restaurantes o si se lleva comida desde DC calentarla en el micro. y algo muy bueno la piscina!! bajo techo, despeues de largas caminatas en DC nada mas sabroso que un disfrutar de esta piscina. hay maquinas dispensadoras de bebidas y snack y una mini tienda de snack y recuerditos a precios razonables. The good thing about my stay was how well I was treated. The two women at the front desk were especially warm and more than helpful. The late night snack delivered to my room was hot and very delicious. However.....the room itself, left a lot to be desired. It was very cold when I arrived, when I turned on the heat, it was VERY NOISEY! My sleep was […] interrupted everytime the heat "kicked on". Also, there was no microwave or refridgerator in the room which I found strange. every other room in every other hotel that I've booked with hotels.com did. Also, neither bed had a comforter on them. If I had one then I possibly could have left the noisey heat off and just wrapped myself up. Finally, and I think most importantly, the shower tempature sunday morning! UGH! It took literally 15 minutes for the shower to get close to hot! I finally gave up, completely shutting off the cold faucet and making do with a "tepid" shower. Affordable 20 min to downtown dc

When the reservation was made adjoining rooms had been requested; however, at check in informed that this would not be possible. The first room we checked into had been smoked in, not good for a non-smoking facility. Another room was provided, but the clerk was not pleased and the maintenance personnel had no idea what was happening, sine he was checking […] out the smoke alarm. The breakfast bar did not live up to its billing as a super selection. It would have been nice to have a queen bed and the heater sounded like a jet was taking off in the room. Leer más

Stayed at this budget Hotel for 2 nights for the Convenience of hotel location: A couple of fights (guests at hotel) broke out during the evening through 4 am and there was no security person to be found!! very unpleasant experience!

One of our rooms was above a restaurant/bar/lounge which was playing very loud music for several hours after midnight. The noise from the bar kept me awake for hours. As you can imagine, this made for a most undesirable stay. In addition, the temperature in the rooms was very cold and the beds had only a thin blanket on them. The hotel is located in a bad neighborhood. Our room needed some major cleaning. The floor had stains all over it and much of the wallpaper was peeling off.

Our room was as too noisy due to the AC outside and AC inside the room. The hourly shuttle to the Metro was a inconvienient. the breakfast room was not very inviting.

well hotel was ok but there was a lot of delay by checking in only one person was checking in resulting a long wait , breakfast was ok but staff talks about how people eat and weather the take food up or not i do not feel that that was approprate if someone wants to eat in his or room there should be no problem telling people that they can take food […] that is rediculous .the kitchen staff does not have manners very rude i must say apart from that there is no ice machine in each floor and there is no sign where u could get one you had to ask around . The overall stay was great. However, the ceiling in the rooms aren't great and the sink in the bathroom was clogged.

Above decent mid-priced level facilty. Close to New Carollton MetroRail station for vacationers not wanting to deal with D.C. parking and traffic.

I was most pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to check in and check out. Staff was really warm and housekeeping was especially attentive and detail oriented.

The young woman Louise, who makes breakfast was phenominal. Her salary should be increased for what and how she makes each person feel after meeting her.

I liked everything in this hotel except the shuttle service to the Metro station. The problem with that was it only runs once an hour and sometimes have to wait if missed the shuttle.

Great staff

I've stayed in this hotel before. Usually, it is satisfactory. However, this last stay was downright unpleasant. Every day, that I was there, I requested that the dead bolt in my room be repaired. It wasn't repaired until the night before I left. During my stay, I had to put the chain on the door and my luggage and rack up against the door, so that […] I would at least be warned of an intruder. When it was finally repaired, the key to my room didn't work three times! I had to carry my computer bag, purse and some shopping bags that I had up and down the hotel three times. You'd think the person at the front desk would have offered to find help for me to carry them. Eventually, the manager had to reset the lock with some kind of device. Did they not know they would have to do that, after it was repaired? Also, I asked to have the tub cleaned as it seemed filthy to me, only to discover that it was some sort of permanent stain that could not be cleaned from the tub, It was truly gross. As I said this hotel is normally acceptable (I mean its no Taj Mahal), but it works as a place to dress and sleep. However, on this stay, I got the room and experience from hell. Like I said, I hope that it was a one time thing, but honestly, I think I'll be gun shy for a while and stay some place else during my monthly visits to the area. Leer más

Everything was wonderful, from the time we've checked in, till the end. Rooms were clean and staff very friendly. This was our first stay at The Best Western Capital Beltway, and we'll definitely consider these hotels in the future. Thank you Best Western

Best Western offered us great service while we stayed there. They offered us a space in the pool area to celebrate a birthday and everybody had great fun. There free continental breakfast is simply great

This is a nice clean, decent location. Convenient shuttle to and from METRO once an hour if you can align your departure/return to the top of the hour. Room is clean, comfortable. Breakfast is excellent with all kinds of stuff - eggs,cereals, bread, pancakes etc.etc. They have swimming pool and workout room which I would've used if I were on business. Now […] to negatives. Building seems to be old and is showing its age. Our toilet flush didn't work well most of our 5 nights stay. Fortunately, it's just removing the cover and tinkering with the lever everytime it didn't work instead of calling maintenance. A/C unit seems to be very old, but is working well with good uniform continuous white noise (I've see ones that start off like jumbo jets) Overall, I am happy with this hotel and would come back if in this area if the price is right. Hotel all over ok, but nothing special. Hotel offers free shuttle to Metro station, which drives every hour. Hotel room was clean. Hotel staff very unfriendly, the shuttle driver was the worst. We recommend the hotel for short trips, don´t expect a first class bedroom or service.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Beltway Hotel. Our only problem was the shuttle service to and from the metro station was on the hour, which left us waiting in very hot weather. But shuttle service on the hour was what was promised. A lifeguard was actually provided for the hotel pool and she was very good with the children. We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. For a family on a budget and looking to see DC we were very happy here. We traveled here midweek for a short vaca, our room was clean and comfortable and had a fridge and microwave which we did not expect and they were immaculate. The hotel provides shuttle service to the Metro which was conveinant, but […] only runs every hour on the hour and ends at 9pm. We were going to take a night tour of DC so decided to park at the metro station. It is one of the few were you can exit lot with a credit card vs the metro trip card and for only $4.25(entered at 10am and left lot at 11pm) it was a good deal also. The air conditioner had been left off so when we entered our room at 10pm it was above 90 degrees. The old window unit was unable to cool it off and the noise of that unit made me feel like I was sleeping in a factory.

BAD hotel, although front desk staff was super nice and helpful!! (1) Rough crowd/unsafe feeling. Security in parking lot, security inside, front door locked, must sign waiver for parking lot. (2) Worn out/outdated facilities, bathtub/shower, carpeting throughout. TV's old. Elevators too small for luggage cart. A/C not working well - room was WARM. […] Breakfast area right out of 1970's (3) Substandard amenities such as - only one guest computer in lobby - wait your turn and no privacy. (4) OVERPRICED. Should have been HALF the cost for what we got. (5) FYI, there are really no nice (Marriott or even Holiday Inn type) hotels along the highway in the DC area. You must go into DC for a quality hotel. We were so tired, and didn't have many choices. Plan your trip accordingly, so that you don't need a hotel anywhere in the Beltway region!!! Or, look for a Hampton Inn. I don't thing I will book any Best Western in the future. This hotel was the worst. It is old and needs to be renovated. The entrance of the Hotel was not bad, however the rooms, especially the first one was unbearable due to the strong odour due to the old carpet, the air condition was so noisy and stopped several times and interrupted our sleep. The […] heat was unbearable. Next day we complained and they moved us to a better room in the same floor. I would not advise anyone to stay in the top floor due to the heat one still feels despite the air-condition. Pillows were strange and small than the regular ones. When we asked them to provide us with better pillows they told us that they only have the this size (which is small that the single size bed pillow, never seen before). The hallway was very warm (without air condition) which is strange and uncommon in a respected hotel. The restaurant where the breakfast was served should definitely be renovated. Great neighborhood, felt totally safe. Loved the breakfast and the pool. Close to D.C. about 20 minutes. Staff really cared and were super sweet. Even great prices int he store.

The front desk - two overworked staff who could not keep up with calls and people waiting. The room - water started leaking from around the light in the bathroom. Called at 10 pm to report. And 10:20. And 10:45. And 11:15 and...you get the picture. Several calls just rang and rang. When at almost midnight we got through, all she had to say was ooops […] at forgetting us. The maintenance guy shrugs and says we'll have to move. No offer to upgrade or discount for the inconvenience. But wait, where would they put us? 5,000 noisy, obnoxious foreigners were taking up the rest of the floor and what ones werent yelling at one another down the hall till midnight were in the lobby NOT watching their children jump down stairwells and climb on furniture and scream like banshees. No one at the desk asked them to control their kids. No one in the halls asked them to go to their rooms and keep quiet. Finally another disgruntled guest had to yell at them before they shut up. They had a computer but it was incredibly slooowwww computer. The next day when we returned to our room to move, they had "patched" the paint that had fallen off the ceiling from the water and apparently either laid their tools on my pajamas or wiped their hands with them because they were covered in putty. When my husband called the manager, she knew who we were "oh you called several times didnt you". You think? But not once did anyone offer us any compensation for our trouble. The pool was nothing to brag about, unless you want to give nods to the lifeguard who was too busy chatting on the internet or talking to friends to even watch to pool (she wasnt even in the room with the pool) She let people eat and drink, we had to clean up a table from ketchup and fries to sit down and she acted bothered to get us towels. Breakfast was decent but they had a hard time keeping up with the food, if you didnt get down there it was out early. This was an older hotel, so I didn't expect it to be perfect. The room had a microwave and a fridge in it, but the fridge was so loud that I had to unplug it. Also the light was out, so I had to goto the bathroom to put on the light. (I checked in around 2am)

We were in the for five days including a weekend. We had to wait until the receptionist finished answering all phone calls before being checked in. The hallway is not cooled so if you go during the summer time you will dread the hallway. For an hotel more than 40 years old, it is not that bad. The cooling system in the rom is also not very adequate […] and if you go during the weekend, the special events guest will overwhelm you. However, the hotel has police on patrol at all times during the evening time so, don't be worried. The breakfast is not the greatest but it's okay. Overall if you are not too selective it may not be too bad for weekday stay. Leer más

very convenietn, near to Capital Mall, with free shuttle bus to metropolitan subway stattion.

I chose this hotel because it allowed easy freeway access to both DC and Baltimore, it is close to a Metro stop, and the price was right. The hotel itself is very clean, and the beds are as comfortable as any I have every slept in. The staff is great! They accepted 8 deliveries I had sent to the hotel and took care of my things until I picked them  […] up. Leer más

I didn't mind that this hotel was a little worn...it was the time that it took to ride in and out of New Carrollton to get to Washington D.C. The last shuttle to the hotel in at 9 pm and runs every hour, so if you miss it in the evenings due to the Metro being late, you best call ahead of time to see if there is still a shuttle coming to meet you. Otherwise, […] the bus is the next best thing, but that stops at 9:45 pm. This hotel was okay and for the price they sell it at, it's actually quite reasonable. The room was spacious enough to fit 3 adults, but was a little small for our luggage...luckily, we were only there to sleep, so we couldn't complain too much. The beds were comfortable and if you are not too picky about luxury it would be the best place to stay if you don't have enough cash to stay in WA D.C. I would come back to stay in this hotel. This hotel was an excellent choice for my stay in the Washington D.C. area. The staff were courteous, knowledgable about the area and pleasant to converse with. The cleanliness of the hotel was much more prevelant than expected. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others who want a nice stay at a decent rate.
