Se encuentra a una distancia mayor del aeropuerto que la anunciada sin embargo el taxi no es tan caro, (alrededor de 7 libras) del hotel al aeropuerto y el hotel cuenta con una linea directa para comunicarse con el taxi por lo que llega bastante rapido. El hotel ofrece tambien servicio de shuttle con cargo extra pero a partir de 2 personas es mas conveniente tomar el taxi. El hotel esta bien para pasar una noche en espera de vuelo al dia siguiente, nada mas, porque no tiene mayores comodidades y se encuentra muy lejos de las atracciones de Londres

"What a lovely view!"
We were celebrating my birthday but i felt as if I was in a prison cell. The ligting in the room was very poor and the window was filthy and looked out on a brick wall. The bathroom lock was faulty and twice we had problems unlocking the door.The mini safe could be lifted out of the cupboard but the fridge could not be opened unless it was removed from […] the unit. We did enjoy the food thaks to Matthew and Jose, who made us feel very welcome. We feel the sunday roast was overrated,as the meat was cold. "Nice hotel but tired rooms"
The Grand has great common areas and looks impressive. However we had a standard room on the first floor facing the backyard. The windows had shabby looking net curtains I guess that we're to stop you being overlooked. The furniture in the room was tired and a lot of it had quite bad scuff marks and worn out corners. Great Staff, great rooms and great view, really I couldn't fault this hotel, and would definitely stay there again, only one slight niggle, there was a lot of xmas parties going on at the time and the car parking cost over £50 for two nights !!

Great location as was visiting the Brighton Centre which is just next door. Not far from the lanes and right on the seafront. Hotel is just as it is called, Grand. Staff were polite. Wasn't mad on the cooked breakfast but lots of other choices available. On the whole, had a lovely stay.

Friendly helpful staff added to the impressive 150 yr old hotel, comfortable room and great food and cocktails made for a wonderful stay. The Hotel was full so the dining room was very full in the morning however the staff managed us all efficently with a smile. "Perfect for a weekend getaway"
We had a large room and en suite. It was a bit dark because it was at the back of the hotel but we had asked for a quiet room which we got. The bed was large and very comfortable clearly with a very good quality mattress and thick cotton sheets. The shower worked perfectly although the bath took a long time to fill so we didn't bother after the first […] time. The buffet breakfast was excellent with everything you could wish for. A Special Menu was offered on Sunday but we were too full to try it. The breakfast room was spacious so never cramped or noisy, with a good view of the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout although there seemed to be too many male staff waiting in the lobby - I'm not sure why. "Worth the upgrade"
We saw other reviews and decided to upgrade to a de luxe room - well worth it. Breakfast was superb, all hotel staff were helpful and friendly. It was a bit noisey outside at 2am but you are on the seafront.

I booked a double room for one night for my husband's birthday through a fantastic deal with hotels.com. The deal included dinner, bed and breakfast and at no point did we feel like second-rate guests. The room we were given on the second floor had been recently refurbished and was luxurious, clean and modern. "Glad I wasn't footing the bill"
I attended a conference at The Grand, so the location was ideal. However, that is sadly where my praises end. Another guest's belongings were in my room, my wake-up call never materialised and the provisions for a vegan diet were poor. "Pricey for what you get"
This is a very nice hotel, and the grandess in Brighton, but it is overpriced for today's world. Great location and best breakfast in Brighton. However, for the price, I expected more. They were not prepared for so many people at breakfast on the bank holiday (they should have known how full they were), and so they ran out of fruit. Seems like they […] needed more help. I had trouble accessing the wi-fi and they told me they didn't have their folks available to fix it over the weekend (get real). TVs in rooms are outdated and much cheaper hotels have better cable TV selections. Rooms were nice but I expected better for the price. If I am going to put out a lot of money for a hotel, I expect it to be a real 5 star with all the amenities. I stayed here last in 1995, and it still seems like a work in progress. Very nice Hotel, great welcome, food good, beer expensive (as you'd expect). Room was small, not Grand and ALL windows were screw shut. Meaning it was a fire hazard and very stuffy. Not what you would expect from a so called top hotel.

Poor service at the reception, it really cost nothing to be friendly but instead we got full of attitude unfriendly welcome. The lady was perhaps homophobic. The bar and restaurant staff was on the contrary very professional and friendly. I felt like our room needed updating. Disappointing, I will think twice before I book it again.

The only reason I would not give this hotel a resounding 5 stars is due to radiator not working in room, a delay in check-in and a minor mishap with luggage misdelivered. "The Grand - Great location for long weekend"
You can always find fault if you look, so I'll start with the negatives. Our room was on the end of the building and was very warm. On asking about air conditioning was informed it had been disconnected but a fan was put in our room which helped. Drinks service in restaurant was a little slow. However, staff friendly and helpful. "Good place to stay but take your woolies in winter"
The room was good except for the degree of heat that the radiators gave out. They were not adjustable and were too small to heat the room adequately. Housekeeping was helpful but could do nothing about it, so maybe this hotel room, (room 108) was not a good place to stay in the dead of winter. The lighting was also poor as the windows were occluded […] to shut out the equipment that was outside the window. Housekeeping provided us with another lamp that helped a lot. "Hotel looking tired"
Was extremely disappointed with our room. Although we did not want to pay the £50 extra for a sea view, we expected the room to be of similar quality to the photo's. Instead we had a small dark room on the top floor with creaky floorboards and noisy air conditioning unit. When was the last time this hotel was decorated?. Paint was flaking off the walls […] on the upper levels. 20 minute wait to check in and another 20 minutes wait at the end of our stay to check out. Only positive point was a good breakfast selection. But had to ask the waiter 3 times for a coffee. Was funny watching the waiter fumble about delivering tea and coffee to the wrong tables though. "Grand Hotel in Brighton"
The room we had although not a sea view (it was a side view) was excellent with huge bed, fridge, modern bathroom with bidet, robes, free wi-fi, decent hairdryer, plenty of cupboard/wardrobe space and well-decorated. Only problem was we could not find any temperature control and the room was too warm at night but it was too cold to keep window open. […] Desk staff, room service staff and porters excellent. There was not enough staff at dinner or breakfast and long waits to get carafe of coffee etc, in fact did not bother with dessert as we got fed up waiting. Food at dinner was good but portions very small, breakfast buffet was excellent and could not be faulted except for the wait for things not available on the buffet such as tea/coffee. There seemed to be a problem with the management of dinner/breakfast staff at busy times.... Biggest drawback of the hotel was the parking, it is £25 per day (same as adjacent NCP carpark). To encourage guests they should offer reduced parking at perhaps £10/day. Fortunately the helpful porter told us where we could park car for free 15 minutes away so we did that instead. Would recommend the hotel but be aware of the cost of parking and the wait for food. Leer más

The hotel is well known and stands very central on the front. It has a nice feel in the main entrance but once in lacks a little soul which could be due to the freezing weather we had and that there were so many office parties on. The room was fine but had no view at all...brick wall I think. TV was very old school and small, Shower was a basic spray […] and no power and not enough towels. In the morning we were woken by drilling next door at 8am which was unnecessary. The breakfast was good with plenty to choose and the service was fine by all. I had been looking forward to staying here, I booked it as and anniversary present for my husband, as I had also booked for the Madness Concert which was being held next door at The Brighton Centre. The enterance to The Grand is everyting I expected, even the price of drinks was not too bad. The only thing I was really disappointed with was the room. […] ?It was very small and the bed was very hard, the windows had been frosted out and we could hear a lot of noise from boilers/generators. The bathroom was really small and the shower only trickled!! The breakfast was really nice and a good selection on a buffet help yourself, although we waited a good 15mins to get our tea and coffee. Also beware it will cost you £24 per day to park here, If you go approx 600yrds further down the road you can park in an underground car park for £12.50 per day. I am glad that I have stayed here, but to be honest I won't be staying here again when there are so many better hotels in Brighton. I do hope this helps you in making your selection of hotels. "Grand Hotel Brighton does not live up to it's name"
On check-in the room was found to be tiny, outdated, cold (broken window catch) and nowwhere near what I expected from this hotel. I paid a lot of money for one night and my wife was told to upgrade to a nicer room would be a further £70! This room was sub standard and in my opinion should not have been given to a guest in this state. There was peeling […] paint and mold all over the bathroom. I appreciate that a hotel of this age will have 'period charm' but this was more 'grotty B&B'. Breakfast the next morning was a debacle with many guests complaining that they were left queueing while tables were left empty. The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that the doorman was charming and very helpful. Shame that experience didn't continue once you were through the door! I won't be returning. I thought this was hotel one of the best values I have ever gotten on a high end hotel. It really felt more like a five star experience from check in all the way through breakfast the next morning. Loved it, and would stay nowehere else if i return to Brighton

Front of house staff all extremely polite, warm, helpful and courteous. A credit to the hotel.
Its a good hotel, thats well maintained, given its age. Staffe were excellent at breakfast - good attentive service without getting in your way. Food was excellent too in terms of choice and quality.
