"Vaakuna - excellent location in Helsinki"
I have stayed at Vaakuna a few times before and always enjoy my visit. You cannot beat the location, the airport bus stops right in front of it and so is the railroad station. It is also a short walking distance to all shopping and major sights in Helsinki. I had a small single room which was very comfortable but with no view. Ask for rooms overlooking […] the railroad station on the top floor, they have a great view with even a small balcony. Breakfast is included and is very good although this time I thought the dining room was a little untidy since many of the tables had not been cleaned up fast enough. "Excellent modern hotel in the center of Helsinki."
Directly across the square from the historic railroad station. Perfect location, accomodating staff, great breakfast included, publich computers in the lobby. "Sokos Vaakuna in Helsinki - a great location"
Stepping into the lobby of this hotel felt like stepping into a Connery-era Bond film. The furnishings are 1950's, but still very, very elegant. The room was on the small side, but also tastefully decorated. I did not investigate the flat-screen TV options too much, but it all seemed to be extra-charge on-demand entertainment, which I wasn't thrilled […] with. Still, you're not in Helsinki to be in the room. The Vaakuna is conveniently located across the street from the central railway station, which is also where buses from the airport will drop you off and pick you up. Behind the hotel is the Mannerheimintie and the northern end of a shopping district. It is also a short walk to the sights of Senate Square or to Market Square to catch a tour boat. Breakfast is included, but I had to check out before service opened. Still, in the lobby, I was able to pick up a tasty (cold) breakfast sandwich of lettuce, tomato, cheese and a cold-cut to carry away with me. The elevators are very small: two people with large rolling luggage will pretty much fill them. They are fast, though. The guest room floors are laid out in a deceptively large open-triangle plan (with rooms on the inside and outside), with the elevators near one apex. If your room is on the far side of the triangle, as mine was, it feels like you're walking forever to get there. All in all, I found the proximity to the rail station and buses a great convenience when catching a 6am bus for the airport. For a quick (one-night) stay in Helsinki, it was definitely worth it. "Das Sokos Hotel Vaakuna liegt direkt"
gegenüber vom Hauptbahnhof und die Sehenswürdigkeiten sind alle gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Für ein 4 Sterne Hotel ist die Ausstattung im Zimmer, vor allem das Bad nicht entsprechend und der Preis war im Verhältnis dazu zu hoch. Grundsätzlich kann ich das Hotel aber weiter empfehlen - vor allem aufgrund der Lage.

"Ruusut"
Ruusut tulevat tällä kertaa aamiaisesta joka oli erinomainen ja myös palvelu oli ystävällistä ja hymyilevää. Huoneemme oli hieman viileä, mutta ilmastointia pienentämällä sekin seikka parani.

ホテルと同じビル内にデパートや地下にはスーパーが有り、買い物にとても便利。特に地下のスーパーにはGeishaチョコが空港で買うよりも安く売っています。お土産にいっぱい買いました。バークナから歩いて4分ほどのところにはストックマンデパートも有り、ここはヘルシンキらしい歴史あるデパートです。11月終わりにヘルシンキへ行ったので、暖かい毛糸のトナカイ柄のソックスを買いました。これが職場でなかなかの評判。サンタさんのソックスのようです。 交通の便も良し。

Hyvät yhteydet kaikkialle esim. lyhyillä matkoilla pääkaupunkiin. Ympärillä kaikki tarvittavat liikkeet ja ravintolat.

Harmitti, että emme saaneet erillisiä vuoteita työtoverin kanssa niin kuin oli toivottu. Tätä toivetta emme osanneet ajatella erityistoiveeksi huonetta varatessamme. Hotellin vastaanotossa suhtauduttiin mielestäni jokseenkin tylysti ihmettelyymme parivuoteesta. Varaus kun oli tehty hotels.comin kautta eikä suoraan hotelliin. ...tuli sellainen fiilis […] että omapahan on mokanne... Muutoin hotellin palvelu oli ok alkuharmia lukuunottamatta. "Sentralt hotell med hyggelig atmosfære"
Hotellet ligger fint plassert midt i sentrum av Helsinki, rommene ligger fra 6. Etg og oppover, så støy fra gata begrenses. Kjøpesenter og supermarked i de nederste etasjene er kjekt! Koselig atmosfære og hyggelig betjening. Eneste minus er litt stusselig frokost sammenlignet med norsk standard, men greit nok. Baren på takterassen stengte også litt […] for tidlig. Leer más
"Perfect fit"
As a business traveller I arrived late, but being in the center of Helsinki made it easy to go out and grab a bite to eat. Everything was very good, but if I should mention one thing that could do with an upgrade it was the breakfast buffet! I travel a lot and this buffet was not up to stadard.

"Gute Lage, aber alt und sehr laut"
Das Hotel liegt unmittelbar am Bahnhof und deshalb ist die Lage nur ganz zu loben. Aber das Nachteil ist natürlich die Lärm der Umgebung. Die Zimmer (inkl. Schalldämpfung) sind nicht allzu modern und das beschert leider eher unruhige Nächte. Empfehlenswert ist noch die Dachterrasse (10.Stock) mit Bar und Chill-Out abends.

"Pikakäynti Helsingissä ostoksilla"
Hotellivalinta osui Sokos Hotel Vaakunaan lähinnä sijainnin vuoksi. Koska myös auton sai läheiseen parkkiin,oli helppo juosta viemään jouluostokset välillä suoraan autoon. Vastaanoton palvelu oli asiallisen kohteliasta,mutta ravintolassa ja kerroshoitajien palvelu oli iloista ja ystävällistä.Aamiainen oli riittävä ja tarpeeksi monipuolinen. Huone oli […] pieni,mutta sänky oli hyvä ja kylpyhuone puhdas ja toimiva. Ihan ok paikka ,jos ei aio oleilla huoneessa. Silloin haluaisi hieman enemmän tilaa sängyn ympärille,mutta tallaiseen käyntiin, hotelli oli oikein sopiva. Leer más

Hotelli ok, aamiainen hyvä. Aika isona miinuksena parkkipaikan puute. Auton joutuu jättämään suht kalliiseen parkkihalliin.
Sijainti lähellä linja-autoasemaa ja rautatieasemaa aivan mainio. Tärkein nähtävä kävelymatkan päässä.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, unmittelbar neben Hauptbahnhof. Das Restaurant im Erdgeschoss hat eine gute Speisekarte und vernünftige Preise, das Frühstücks-Buffet im Restaurant im 10. Прибывание в отеле оставило только положительные впечатления. Что могу сказать об отеле: -отличное месторасположение -завтрак совершенно обычный -из ресторана потрясающий вид на город -номер чистенький и аккуратный -персонал приветливый -ходили как то вечером в бар на первом этаже, народу много, официанты оч быстро и качественно готовят коктейли, цены […] как и везде в центре -понравилось, что из лобби вход прямо в торговый центр Хороший отель, с удовольствием вернусь. "Små men fräscha rum - bra läge"
Charmigt Hotell med 50/60-talskänsla i entré och reception. Singelrumen lite små, men bra möblerat och med väl tilltagen säng. Rent och fräscht. Bra läge i city intill centralstationen. Kan rekommenderas.
