Great Service - staff were overly friendly and helpful on recommending great German Resturants Location 4 blocks away from the main train station and the local attractions. Very Clean and great price

Clean and tidy modern furnishings - our room was a tad small but we had asked for a room with a proper double bed instead of those silly 2 singles pushed together so these might be bigger. Friendly staff and good services. Shame that wifi is €9 a day though!

Maybe a little expensive for its tier, but definitely not a bad hotel.

My girldfriend and I stayed here from the 1st to 4th of January. For the small price we paid, it was a very pleasant hotel. Decent sized room, great location in the city centre, mannerly staff - ticks all boxes. I would have no problem recommending this hotel. I did not see the gym or the sauna so I cannot comment on them.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our recent Christmas vacation to Munich, we were also there with friends. We had a Premium room, which was clean, the beds were very comfortable and it was in an area where there lots to eat. It was within walking distance to the main train station - Munchen Hauptbahnhof. There is a laundromat across the […] street, which we found very handy. We were able to drop off and pick up clean laundry at a very reasonable cost. Excellent all round - full marks all round.

Hotel was ok, but not 4* as other reviews have suggested. Hotel appears to have no non smoking rooms, so dispute requesting via here and at the hotel we had a stinking room in a stinking corridor. This alone would stop me rebooking. That said the hotel was cheap for its class in Munich, had an amazing shower and free gym room. Breakfast buffet is […] definitely one to miss at the price as the selection, quality and service was poor. Hotels location initially made my wife a little uncomfortable, but we had no issues, and there are plenty of other hotels in the area, so its actually pretty safe. Station is a few mins walk, so very handy Beds are German style, so a double is actually two singles, with separate single duvets which have been pushed together. Finally the is no air con, which isn't an issue in Dec, but will be in summer. All in all a reasonable hotel, similar to travel lodges in the UK. expensive, but that's Munich, poor breakfast, and massively let down by no non smoking rooms - I hate the smell, so for that reason alone I won't recommend to non smokers. We arrived at 8AM after an overnight train and our room was ready! The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and quite nice. We had trouble with the TV and told the front desk; the next day it was fixed. The neighborhood isn't exciting but it is quiet and just a 10 minute walk from the historic town center. Plus it is just a few blocks […] from the train station, so super convenient if you want to take day trips. The food at the restaurant in the hotel is pretty good, and the room service, while not gourmet, is affordable and tasty. I would definitely stay there again next time I'm in Munich. Leer más

Great hotel, but ask for an inside room as the street noise will wake you often.

The Tryp is a short walk from the train station. The staff was wonderful, they let us change the room from one double bed to a room with 2 twin beds I'm not sure what room we booked. The small room was clean with two twin size beds jammed together, not the most comfortable when traveling with your daughter. The room has a water boiler and 2 instant […] coffee packs and a 5 euro bottle of water on the desk. Room size and layout is very similar to the Ibis chain in Paris but the beds are not as nice. Perfect hotel in München, very nice breakfast.

Overall a great hotel; it's clean and pleasant, has a sauna and fitness centre and the staff are very accommodating. Location is good too; only a few blocks down from the Hauptbahnhof and nearest U-Bahn is just around the corner. In other words, you can hardly ask for more. Will stay there again.

The hotel was good. Further away from the train station and altestadt than I expected, but overall I have no complaints.

Breakfast rather expensive, Staff not very smiley or welcoming..unapproachable. Room itself nice but smelt a bit as obviously a smoking room which made all clothing have a smokey odour! Surrounding neighbourhood slightly seedy, bit uncomfotable to walk through passing locals.

Due to a change of plans, I departed a day earlier than what I reserved and paid for. The front desk had no interest in helping me in this, and I am sure my room was rented out at once the day I departed.

This hotel met all of our needs. After a LONG day of traveling we arrived at around 22:00. The gentleman on duty was polite, but not overly friendly (it is Germany I suppose). He suggested a place close by for us to eat and it met our expectations! Overall this is a great hotel. Great price and very clean/nice rooms. The neighborhood is a bit so/so […] but it is very close to train station. Just be prepared to pay for wifi and breakfast. They were not included in our room price. Leer más

Short walk to central station so very handy for getting about. If you don't get breakfast included it's 15 Euro's for a continental breakfast! much better to go to the little Cafe left out of the hotel! Not much in terms immediate surroundings but as mentioned very good for central station so easy to get about. Only thing no tea or coffee in the room […] which was disapointing you had topay extra. But would definetly recommend and stay again - will just bring my own travel kettle! Leer más

I had two separate nights at the Tryp recently and found it to be exactly what I needed. The hotel is conveniently located a short walk (about 5 minutes) from Munich central station. The neighbourhood is what you expect for the area surrounding a large station, a little seedy but not so much as to make you feel unsafe. The hotel itself is modern and […] well appointed. Slight reservations are: 1. No a/c in the rooms. It got quite hot at night and I had to leave the window open slightly. 2. The carpet in the room on the first night was stained and was clearly well trodden. This was not severe enough to entice any kind of complaint from me. Apart from that, and the oddity of seeing a mini-pack of Gummi Bears on the pillow where chocolate is the norm, the hotel was exactly what we needed for our short break. I have no problems in recommending this hotel so long as you don't think your getting the Ritz for this price. Leer más

What a relief. This trip I traveled several different countries and stayed in a variety of hotels. Most of the hotels not up to US standards for hotel rooms. The Tryp was wonderful. The room was very clean and appealing. The staff was great, they let me check in early as my train arrived in Munich super early. We were very disappointed with the overall experience of the TRYP. It does not merit 4stars, nor does it measure up to Sol Melia's other hotels. It is a very frenetic bus tour hotel with large groups checking in and out every day and overwhelming the tiny lobby and swamping the breakfast buffet. If you are looking for a relaxing stay in Munich, avoid […] this hotel. The front desk managed to maintain their composure and offer the best service they could, but the facility isn't 4star. Convenient location close to railway station so as expected a bit noisy with traffic. However, we got one of those few rooms with a balcony so we have a good view of the street below. Buffet breakfast was the best with cappucinno machine as well as fresh orange with juice machine to make it on the spot!

I was very impressed by this hotel. It was very modern, clean and the room was very comfortable and large. The location was great too.

Hotel was close to all central sights in Munich. Clean, comfortable and very good value.

Surprisingly wonderful hotel. Very conveniently located and extremely clean. A great value and the front desk personel were very helpful and had a great deal of knowledge and insights for tourist. I would stay there again.

The hotel staff were all friendly and polite, and one provided us with an excellent map of the city and gave us tips on what to visit. The room was clean, overlooking the courtyard in the center of the hotel. No view of the city, but it was peaceful. The superior room only had a shower, no tub. Parking garage was very small, but equiped with lifts at […] each parking spot allowing for double the amount of cars possible. The lifts made parking spots narrow, thus making it difficult to enter and exit car doors. Outstanding breakfast buffet with warm sausage, bacon, boiled and scrambled eggs, fruits, cold cuts, and multiple bread choices. The lobby bar offered two happy hours with reasonable prices and an attentive bartender. I would stay here again, especially since Tryp is only 200 meters from the closest metro station. Leer más

The hotel was very easy to find, its just by the main station. It is very close to the city centre, the staff were very friendly and helpful... The hotel was very comfortable and clean...

Hotel is clean, nice staff, short walk form main train station, comfortable room. But too pricey for service. Breakfast not included and they charge an astronomical18 euros per person. They also charge for internet.

The hotel was easy to find, in a good location and provided parking. It's just a block away from the S-bahn station (or was it U-Bahn?) Either way, you could walk to the train and go anywhere in the city. If you are going to Oktoberfest or to any events on the Oktoberfest grounds, you are just walking distance at this hotel. It's not the fanciest hotel, […] and it's definitely due for an update. But it's a great deal for the price. We only paid for the room (didn't get the inclusive breakfast) and we definitely feel like we got our money's worth. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and had a shower/tub combo. We had a tv- but there's a limit on how high the volume can go. I'm guessing so you don't bother your neighbors. There weren't too many channels, but we were hardly in the room. We were out exploring all day and night and only went to the hotel to sleep. The staff was very friendly and helpful and they spoke English. They were also very quick when we requested an ironing board and extra pillows. One thing that I thought was cute? They had a channel that had a fireplace video going! One caveat to this hotel would be this- there's no AC. Not a big deal in the winter, but I would hate it in the summer. They did have an electric fan, though! And you can open the windows to let in air. And if you are there during winter, there are heaters in the room. Overall, a great price. I would definitely stay there again. Very well run hotel. Extremely efficient service and friendly staff, so much so in fact that if you didn't have a 'do not disturb sign' out, the cleaners came to tidy the rooms before 9am. The hotel is very convenient for the Haupbahnhoff central station. The only thing we'd improve is the bed linen as, whether a king or not, you were given single duvets. […] Breakfast could be had for half price by joining the chain's loyalty scheme. The hotel was very nice and the staff extremely friendly. After a torturous bus ride due to the strike in France, they let us check early. The room was big for European standards and very clean. The Breakfast buffet was outstanding and reasonably priced, perfect after drinking a couple 1 liter beers the night before. The location was close to the main […] train station and a block from a U-Bahn station so it was very convenient for getting around town. The hotel is located on a street with a lot of other hotels but and right around the corner from St John's church but in the other direction, the neighborhood wasn't so nice. Leer más

Hotel extremely clean and well maintained. Nothing too much trouble. Staff efficient, friendly and helpful. Would definitely use again if ever in Munich in future. Would certainly recommend to family and friends.

I booked this because of a change in my travel plans and had to catch a train out in the morning. This hotel is two blocks from the main train station, which makes the hotel pretty attractive. The room was clean and comfortable, but a bit dated. It wasn't terrible, just dated. The hotel restaurant was decent. I learned this after walking several blocks […] looking for a good restaurant. This hotel is located only a 5 minute walk from Munich's main train station and the heart of the city. We stayed here the week after Oktoberfest finished so got a room at an awesome rate - if we had been staying there during Oktoberfest it was apparently all happening only 200m up the road! The staff were great and we had lunch twice in the hotel's […] restaurant which was also very nice. The standard room was a good size as well as the bathroom. We arrived late, check-in was very smooth, rooms had no a/c - noisy when opened windows to cool down ...... overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would use it again ..... bar staff very good, bar prices reasonable, location good ....... room cots very reasonable ......this site was very useful ......

We stayed at Hotel Tryp in Munich with a group of 9 business people for Asia and the US to visit a trade fair at the 'Neue Messe'. The hotel in located a convenient 5 minute walk from the main railway station, even closer to the U4/U5 subway line. The inner city location is loud when staying on a room facing the street, though atrium locations were […] quiet. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the included breakfast was great, the rooms were comfortable and clean (though the bathrooms could use a little bit of updating). The Tryp is in good location to access train, which can take you any where in Munich. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We enoyed the lounge in the lobby for a night cap and conversation with other visitors to the hotel.
