ok so hear it goes....... looks great on pictures . when we 1st got there they gave us the wrong room called down and they fixed it.. pool is so small and nasty .. thinks sticking up from the ground to trip over and old rusted chairs and tables to sit at , the towels were filthy! fitness room had a weight bench a treadmill that did not work and an eliptical […] mechine that did not work! we tried to order room service and after 6 times trying to get through with no answer a man who dint speak english answed kitchen and did not understand a word i was saying! very outdated loud music blasting from so called resturant on site which is mearly a bar! do not stay here!!!!!!! "Maplewood Inn, Syracuse - Nice stay"
This was the second time we stayed at the Maplewood and we were pleased with our stay. Our stay was between Christmas and New Years 2012 so we had the place to ourselves. I had a "run of the hotel" deal and the desk clerk put us in adjoining rooms which was nice. Breakfast included, but very meager. Room was large. We'll stay there again.

"close to airport"
Had a great stay. Upon checking out , I was told that I had a bill of 10.00. This was because of breakfast and convenience of shuttle. I told them that I never used shuttle and that breakfast was included w/room.

"Fine for one night"
We stayed here before an early AM departure from Hancock Airport. The lobby is very nice. The rooms are modest, but clean and orderly. The mattresses were a little cheap, but for one night it is fine. It took us about 3 minutes to drive to the airport at 5:30 AM.

This hotel has excellent customer service! The room was clean other then a couple hairs in the bathtub but seriously what can be expected. Great location, just off I-81. Rooms are spacious and comfortable! Pool was nice, a little small but we were the only ones in it so it was perfect! Enjoyed our stay, would recommend and stay again!!!

Everything about it is good. I just had a bad bed I quess. Had tough night sleeping, bed was arched in some spots. i should have just gotten another room. Great service, bar/rest and surrounding area. Can't go wrong with it!

Old tired, in drastic need of an upgrade. Still has tube TV's. Everything worked. Good water pressure in the shower, until somebody next door flushed. Also, very loud noise from next door shower and flushing. I was there during a hockey tournament. "Hokey Night in SYR"
The hotel and crew were excellent. The co guests comprising of hokey teams and family were less than considerate. Suggestion, require more adult chaperones with the hokey booking. Also make a meeting room available for the young hokey members a place to socialize other that rooming the halls making noise.

This hotel is as cozy as you like it to be. The spa located in the hotel was a huge plus for me...They squeezed me in on their day off so that was very nice of them. I would stay there again cause it's right off the interstate.

The fire alarm sounded at 2:30 in the morning on Sat 10/1/2011. Our hallway looked like it was full of smoke so we had to pack up our things and our 2 dogs and vacate for 1.5 hours until 4:00AM when the fire dept cleared us for re-entry. It turned out that what we thought was smoke was actually the dust from the fire extinquisher. We did not get any […] type of compensation or apology from the hotel for the false alarm. The Maplewood Inn is convenient to the highways and only a few miles from downtown Syracuse. The rooms were a good size and comfortable. I would not have wanted to be near the bar, however. The music and kareoke were blasting and must have been heard on the floor above!

We stayed at the Maplewood Inn on our way to upper New York, taking our son up to Bible College. The hotel was somewhat old but kept in pretty good shape. We even received a phone call from the front desk about 15 minutes after checking-in to make sure everything was fine. "Great value and very clean! - Newly renovated"
We found this hotel on pretty short notice after our trip plans changed, and we'd be passing through Syracuse on your way home to Toronto from Albany. Normally I don't expect much from these types of roadside 2-3 storey hotels, except for a good price, clean room, no smoking, free parking, and maybe an included breakfast. The Maplewood Inn didn't disappoint. […] In fact, the place must have been recently renovated--newly stuccoed on the outside and brand new paint and carpet on the inside made this place feel more expensive than it actually was. Very clean, bright lobby with nice decor and 2-storey ceiling! There was no smoke smell to speak of anywhere. I love that the wi-fi was free throughout the hotel, and they offer an ethernet connection as well, and a PC in the lobby. We left in a hurry so we didn't have breakfast, but it looked like their selection was limited: A few cereals, pastries and bagels, but not much else. The breakfast room was pretty cramped too with only 4 or 5 tables. I don't like to be picky but it would have been nice if they had real cream to go along with the coffee, but instead they had creamer packets which taste kind of nutty. We also didn't get to use the pool, but we peeked in and it looked pretty clean and would be fun if we had kids with us. One other small thing I didn't like was the quality of the bed sheets. They were more like cotton flannel than the cold, smooth cotton ones one would be used to at other hotels. But eventually I got used to them. I was hesitant to stay at this hotel at first given that it wasn't part of a big-name chain, but this hotel didn't disappoint. In the unlikely event that we are ever driving through the area and need to stay overnight, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. For the price, it can't be beat! Leer más
"Nice Little Find for SU Parents!"
This was our 3rd stay at Maplewood. We were disappointed that they could not take our one night reservation for Family Weekend in October. We have enjoyed each stay. I would recommend that when checking in, the staff at the desk ask if you are acquainted with the hotel & what it offers. really like the hotel and would stay again but confused at the end ot the stay was charged for add;l fee for hotel amentities of $7+ Also pool was way to hot to swim in on hot days. Very good cont'l breakfast.
"the hotel has a shuttle"
We were very pleased with this hotel. the shuttle went out of there way to get us to a place that was out of there zone.It was also close to the state fair
"Convenient"
Stayed overnight before moving my son into SU. Very easy to find off I81 and conveniently located only a few miles from both the university and airport. Room comfortable enough for 4 adults. Ample breakfast and close to restaurants. Would definitely stay again
"Excellent place---look nowhere else"
The location (next to the highway) is perfect for moving around Syracuse. The staff were great, the room was great, the breakfast was great (except for a slow toaster:-). This is where I'll stay from now on anytime I visit Syracuse (the University, 8 minutes away.) Others are a bit cheaper, but they're a gamble.

We have stayed here about 4 or 5 times and it is an okay hotel to stay at. The pool is super warm but a little small. The breakfast used to be better but is now average...they need an industrial toaster rather than the small ones... The staff is really really polite and helpfull and that is why we always return to this hotel.

Room was clean, and had a refrigerator which was a needed plus. Staff was helpful finding the place, which was necessary as we got a little turned around. Breakfast room was TINY and very full when we came down. But pool was a nice plus, entertaining for the kids.

"Front Desk"
The check in was a bit cumberson especially after we had booked through Hotel.com. The front desk had us fill out a lot of forms. Why? We had also asked for a 1st floor room and did not get it. We went with Hotels.com primarily because we were able to book the three rooms we needed. Others couldn't do that without higher room rates. The person on the phone was extremely helpful. Again better than your competitors.

Very spacious hotel, rooms were super clean and a/c was quiet and works great. Breakfast was good and location was convenient. ONLY thing that would make the hotel better would be a bigger pool. It is SMALL. More then 5 people and it's too crowded.

"Very nice hotel"
The hotel was much better then expected. Only negative to report was the excersize room was very very small and tred mill didnt work.
