Great location for access and the price is excellent for the location. It was ideal for 2 nights stay, especially as I was coming back late and I didn't fancy carrying my luggage about on the tube. Within good proximity of Paddington Station and Lancaster Gate Tube. Modern room very clean with all necessary amenities. Offered a good breakfast selection. Staff polite and welcoming. Good value for money - would definately go back!

My room bizarrely seemed to be located through the closed breakfast room, lights off, and down towards the basement. The room itself had no complaints, it was clean spacious and comfortable. because my impression of this hotel was so favorable that I think: 1. more people will choose it; and 3. the price will probably go up. There are so many fleabag hotels around Paddington. It was a real pleasure to find and stay at this hotel. Service great, room great, area great, breakfast great. It was a great experience!

The hotel is a short walk from Lancaster Gate tube station, in a side street close to Hyde Park. We asked for a quiet room, and the only sounds we heard during the stay were the cleaners using the cupboard opposite our room, so very pleased. The room was modern, clean and well decorated. It actually had two levels, with a television and two chairs, […] wardrobe and bathroom 'downstairs', and bed, writing table and another television upstairs. The bed was very comfortable and the room had air conditioning which was appreciated. The only slight criticism I have is that there was no table downstairs and only a couple of drawers upstairs, but for a short stay that was fine. The bathroom was small but clean and contained free toiletries. The hairdryer was inside the wardrobe and couldn't be removed because the plug was hidden, so you have to dry your hair using the mirrored wardrobe doors - I'd have preferred to be able to take the hairdryer upstairs and sit down, but it was fine other than that. The room was dark, and you couldn't see outside because the windows were frosted, but maybe that's because we asked for a quiet room. The breakfast was nice, with a good selection of hot and cold food on a serve yourself basis. The hot food wasn't very hot, because it was kept in metal containers with lids, but I suppose it depends how many people are eating and the turnover. The sausages were horrible, but everything else was fine. All the staff in the hotel were friendly and efficient, that's front of house, waiting and cleaning staff - they were all really nice and are a credit to the establishment. Overall I would say the Hotel was nice. I would have liked a fridge in my room for the price I payed. The room was larger than I thought it would be. I was a little bothered one thing though. When I checked out I left my baggage with the front desk. The front desk did not give me a claim ticket for the bags and luggage I left and asked me to go into […] the luggage room and claim my bags as she didn't know which bags were mine. For the price & being an American Chain, the room was very small. my husband had to jump over me in bed to go to the door or rest room. There was hardly room for the luggage of the 2nd person. The bathroom was so small that you would be hit by the towel dryer when you enter the shower. When I complained to the front desk that the rooms were very small […] I was told " This is London standard". I think the standard is very low. Located near Lancaster gate central line, clean and nice room - if on the small side. Breakfast was good also. Area is nice with large park and a few small pubs and shops around.

Very clean, however, could not turn off bathroom fan, could not adjust heat in the room (so I kept the window open), towel rack did not heat, bathroom door would not stay shut and step down into the bathroom could be a night time hazard. It gives the feel of a boutique hotel however, the service was not as such... some of the front desk staff were borderline rude and sometimes unhelpful. I booked pretty late so i guess i can't complain everything else was booked up but it's really not worth the cost. Being close to a tube station on the central line was extremely convenient but for the price a slightly bigger room would be expected. Also paper thin walls, literally had trouble sleeping due to the person snoring in the room over.

Perfect location, around 5 pound taxi ride from Paddington Station, quite perfect single person hotel.

Room small but adequate, amazingly there is no shaver point in the bathroom and no hairdryer. There was no shower gel provided which is unusual these days. Breakfast was hot but things were not replaced very quickly and items often ran out.

I had booked and paid for a standard single room with free wi fi. The room was in the basement with frosted glass window and was clearly smaller than a standard room. The remoteness of the room meant the wifi was useless. However the real kicker was the room temp. It never went below 27 deg C (80deg F) despite my protestations so I had 3 nights bathed […] in perspiration. I complained and was told the management would be in touch: I am still waiting. For a central London hotel our room was spacious. Everything was clean and comfortable too. But I think we paid a lot for a room in the basement, overlooked by a pub beer garden. Good location just by the London underground (Lancaster Gate) and Hyde Park/ Kensington Gardens. Nicely decorated, simple but full breakfast, small but clean and comfortable rooms. The staff was always friendly and could always find an answer to my questions. Also, free wifi, which is great!

The only thing in favour of the Hotel was its location. About 15 mins to Oxford Street. Otherwise, the Hotel is over priced, with room size equivalent to what you would expect for a bathroom!

Big problems in communication and housekeeping. Shame, as it is a modern, well designed and ideally located property

The hotel is generally well maintained and the room has all the basics you would expect, plus a couple of 'nice to have's' such as very effect air conditioning. The location is ideal close to the main areas of London but far enough removed to be quiet. Breakfast buffet can be a bit confusing as it it totally self service.

very nice hotel well situated for tube and buses close to Paddington station and across the road to Hyde Park, good buffett breakfast, TV, tea/coffee makeing and safe available in room, only draw back at present work starts at 8.00am on adjacent hotel refirbishment so dont expect a lie in

I reserved a room for one person for three nights and then moved to a different and more expensive hotel for a medical conference. The room was literally for one person. The bed was the standard twin/single bed size. The room had a flat screen tv with satellite tv (the other more expensive hotel only had the regular BBC and a few more channels). The employees were very nice, polite and helpful. There was one computer with internet for guests (the other more expensive hotel had internet but paying a high price). The breakfast was very good with a variety of juices, cereal, coffee, tea etc. The location of the hotel is great, next to Hyde Park, two blocks from Lancaster Gate station and relatively close to Paddinton, very easy to arrive from and depart to Heathrow airport. The price is high but I guess all hotels are very expensive in London. If you travel with somebody else, you should consider renting an apartment. Leer más

This hotel is reasonably priced, walkable to many London attractions and the rooms are clean. Our room was too small to be comfortable as you could barely turn around. The hallways and elevator are the same - very tight to move about. Front desk staff were pretty bad except one lady, who was wonderfully helpful. Very average hotel at best.

Stayed for 2 nights at Best western Mornington hotel at London in the first week of April 2011 and my experience has been excellent. The hotel is small but very cosy and comfortable. Very close to Hyde park - good for morning jogs and evening strolls. Walking distance (Max 10 mins) from Paddington station - excellent for direct rail connections to Heathrow . Quite close (15-30 min bus rides)to the main tourist attractions of westminister and the shopping areas. We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel when we checked in - the lobby is modern and cute and our room was the same! Comfy bed, great location, right near Hyde Park. The staff could have been a bit friendlier, but overall, great value for what we paid. Would stay here again!

The Mornington is in an area with lots of small hotels. Across the street from Hyde Park, a block away from Lancaster Gate station, a 10 min walk from Paddington station. what a delight to find this hotel in amidst the shoe box rooms of Paddington it was clean and well appointed, and the breakfast was fresh and of decent quality

Hotel is fine, Rooms a little small but clean and in good condition, having all the features you would expect. Much better than most Best Westerns.

Arrived to a warm welcome and a cold bedroom. The finish of the hotel is smart and very clean. Our room stayed cold, even with an electric heater. The first morning was greeted with a cold shower. Nobody checked to see if we were settled and nobody came to get the heating working after we informed them about it.

Close walk to tube station Lancaster Gate or Paddington Station. Great location.

The Best Western Mornington is a wonderful small hotel in a great location. It was tastefully renovated very recently. I was pleased with the room, except for the noise. This is a lovely boutique hotel in a fantastic location near the Lancaster Gate tube station. Ignore previous reviews about the renovation hassles. It is complete, and the hotel is spectacular, especially considering the bargain price point. The location is outstanding across the street from the gorgeous Hyde Park, and just a block from the tube. Busses […] also stop a block from the hotel, and can take you to Picadilly Circus or up Oxford Street at half the cost of the tube, and with a view! Staff is lovely, the breakfast buffet is included, and is very good, and best of all, fantastic FREE wireless internet throughout the hotel. Rooms have been completely gutted and rebuilt with beautiful (if small) baths. The location being 1 short block off of the main road is very quiet, which is a real advantage, considering how busy this major thoroughfare is. Rooms also have indiviually controlled central heat and air conditioning, and have windows that open, which is lovely in nice weather. This is a fantastic hotel that has been beautifully renovated.
