Les comparto esto porque considero que al hacer esta encuesta les interesa la opinion de sus clientes, y porque creo que se estan preocupando para mejorar su hotel y existen cambios que solo implican un poco de atención sin ningún gasto o minimo. La atención de la recepcionista fue deficiente, no recuerdo el nombre pero era una mujer cerca de los 40, no muy alta y un poco llenita que me atenndio el jueves al llegar como a la 1:00 am, le pregunte si hablaba español a lo cual se molesto y de ahi en adelante me atendio muy parcamente y sin ningún interes. La otra es las habitaciones estan muy bien en cuanto a baño y limpieza, pero les falta cambiar alfombra (gastada aunque limpia) y el sillon de la entrada se ve de tapiceria vieja y contrasta con lo demas que se ve que le estan hechando las ganas. Ah y el control de la tele se vei que tenia pilas nuevas pero no estaba programado para la tele por lo que no servia, y con la atencion que nos dio la señorita ni pensar en preguntar algo. El Lobby se ve muy bonito y amplio aparte de limpio. El desayuno talvez con un poco de fruta mejoraria bastante.

Un pequeño hotel enfrente de Japantown, con un diseño unico y original, todo funcionando y una atencion EXCELENTE. Sinceramente si encuentran una oportunidad con este hotel, RESERVARLO YA!!!

Can't say enough great things about the hotel staff. Really all just wonderful. Highly recommend. Nice rooms, super location, well priced.
Picked this hotel because of the reviews. We were not impressed. The hotel front desk people were indifferent, at best. Lobby bare minimum and looks like a low-end establishment. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

"Palomar - centrally located"
Only a few minutes from the Bart and cable car turning circle, yet very quiet as it is above the shops although you access at ground level. We overlooked the glass roof of a shop several levels below which meant it was very quiet - no traffic sounds which is pretty amazing for the location. "Fantastic location and service, pricey internet"
I was there with my older mom for six nights between Christmas and New Year's. Great location near Union Square shopping and SOMA museums. Service ranging from excellent to bend-over backwards extraordinary. Tasteful decor with blooming plants. The wine-tasting hour was more of an all-you-can-politely-drink, which was quite a treat with the decent wine. My […] only complaint was high cost of internet usage on the business center computer, almost six dollars for every fifteen minutes. Access was free if you had a laptop, which I didn't. I love this hotel for many reasons...valet is downstairs so you do not have to wait 15 minutes for them to pull up from a remote lot...the toiletries are Etro...the bathrobes are animal print...and best of all, the hotel is pet friendly! Great hotel, great staff, close to Union Square and Powell Street Cable Car and BART. Easy access to all buses too! Our room was very quiet with updated decor; super helpful front desk. I will definately stay here again!
"My favorite San Francisco Hotel"
This was my third stay at the Palomar...I keep coming back because it's outstanding in every way. Our room overlooked busy Market & Fourth, and yet the room is perfectly peaceful. And the oversized tubs in the Luxury King rooms are amazing. "One first in San Francisco"
I recently stayed at Hotel Palomar, San Francisco. It is my first time to San Francisco and I like the location of the hotel. It is convenient to go anyway, example, you can walk back to Howard Street to rent a car from BUDGET or to walk to UNION SQUARE (within 10 minutes. Shops are everywhere. The only concern that i had, was i saw beggars almost […] everywhere on the busy streets. They might not be aggressive or we need to be careful with personal belongings. Back to the hotel room, it is comfortable and mattress are just right. Quality of the pillows are good. This hotel serves good quality of toiletries. "overpriced inn"
Booked the hotel in order to stay one night in dt San Francisco. The rate was slashed to half and i thought it was excellent opportunity. I booked the room with double deluxe bed - which i though was 2 beds. I realized this day after i booked and tried to contact hotel via email. There was no reply and i had to find different angle/email to contact […] them. After a long struggle i was just told that there are no 2 bed rooms available for that night. Hotel must of been prepaid so there was no way to cancel. When i got to the hotel they surprised me with valet parking for 51 bucks. they did not even let me keep the keys on me, since it was a rental car, i declined and found another parking near buy for half price. The room was position right next to their lounge so there was noise well into the night. There was no complimentary breakfast and a lock on the fridge. You could not open the window and it was too hot in the room. Could not figure out how to turn the heat down. I had to sleep with my mom on the same bed. It got to the point that sheets and environment were so warm that at 4 am i opted to sleep on the floor. Myself nor my mom got a good sleep and since i had to drive 500 kilometres on the following they it wasn't ideal situation. My mom was finaly looking to have some view from downtown hotel window, but on top of everything they were unable to give us anything better than fifth floor facing to inner courtyard. It was quiter than cemetery. I had better sleep and service on my week long vacation in San Francisco in comfort inns and other cheaper hotels. I do not recommend this hotel to anybody, not even at half a price i paid. The location was the only plus of this hotel, but only if you do not have a car, otherwise you need to buy a bed parking at a steep price too. Save yourself hassle. Find another hotel. Leer más
"No one lissening at Hotel Palomar in San Francisco"
I called and talked to the hotel reservationist and explained that I was driving down from the state of washington aprox. 12 hours and I could either stop at Redding,ca. or be in San Francisco,Ca. at 1:00am I asked if I could be accomadated at that early hour with out an extra charge he said yes and put a note in the computer.This is not what happened […] 1st NO room ready 2nd note in computer so sorry please wait in Bar lobby until they get room ready a 3:45am room ready but only 1 bed my reservation was for 2 . I was extremley tiered and went to bed no more arguing . At aprox. 9:00am I called down to the lobby and talked to the manager and explained I needed room with 2 beds He said he'll try but would need 100.00 dollars to cover maid service. I tried to explain That I would not even be here if your employee had'nt told no problem with my request remember he put a note in the computer which everyone acknowledged. Now you want $100.00 for maid service I said No I could go on about My wife and 2 kids that flew up that morning and how 1 stayed with friend and they would not even supply a cot unless I agreed to pay $35.00 additional per night. "Expected more for the price"
Overall was OK for one night, nothing special though about this hotel, considering high price. Parking was more than $50 per night with tax included. There was no breakfast, gym is just a one room with literally 3-4 exercise machines, very bad. The area is convenient, very close to Union square. Overall, disappointed.
Really nice hotel. Had an interior room and it was very quiet with a nice view of their garden. The free wine from 5-6 is a great reminder to take a break in a bustling city. Great location - on the same block as Powell BART station and many bus stops. Several museums, including SFMOMA are within blocks.
"We could not be happier!"
My husband and I had a great stay at the hotel Palomar this week. The staff was super friendly- especially the concierge. The bed was so soft and comfortable that I almost couldn't stand to get out of it. Everything was within walking distance, and there were tons of great restaurants nearby. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Note that if you should be parking a vehicle at the hotel that it is a $45 per day charge (plus tips at drop off and pick up). Not unusual or unreasonable, but you should factor that in to the cost of your stay.

I usually do not write reviews but they definetly deserve a praise! Great service! Free wine. Kruig coffee maker upon request free. Free hair straightener. Middle of downtown in union sq area! Right above everything. No need for taxis or rental car! All tourist attractions within 15 mins by public transport

Hotel Palomar in Union Square in San Francisco is excellent value. The location is premiere and all the best retail stores (Louis Vuitton, Bvlgari, Burberry, Saks, Neimans, Barneys, Gucci, Macys) are within walking distance. "centrally located, Kimpton service"
This hotel is not as interesting for a "boutique" hotel as some of the other Kimpton properties- more standard beige non descript rooms and decor- but it has all the Kimpton services and perks. Clean and comfortable rooms, very convenient central location , friendly staff.
"Pricey but worth it"
All the hotels in this area (Union Square) are expensive. There was a convention going on which meant not much availability. I was on business to visit a law firm and they suggested their travel agency to me. However, I found the same hotel at a lower rate on Hotels.com. "Excellent location and wonderful service"
This hotel was very lovely. The service was excellent- everyone was helpful whether we needed a recommendation for the best dim sum in the city or a taxi for sightseeing. We really enjoyed ourselves. The BART station is right on the corner so it makes transportation to and from the airport super easy. We got a cheaper rate at Hotels.com vs the hotel website. Be sure to join the "In Touch" frequent travelers club on the hotel website and like their page on facebook for free upgrades and free drink coupons. "Hotel Palomar - Nice boutique hotel in SF"
I have stayed here on several occasions and would recommend this to other travelers. If you have comfortable shoes you can walk to Union Square and the many shops and restaurants nearby. "good location, don't like the hotel layout"
This is a great location (though SOMA can be a bit over-run with panhandlers and isn't the cleanest part of the city), close to many SF sights. The hotel layout is a bit challenged. I don't like that it doesn't have a traditional lobby - just a front desk where you check in. You need to go to 5th floor for a bar/restaurant. "Hotel Palomar in San Francisco - great location"
The Hotel Palomar is very clean, quiet and in a great loaction. It is near the Powell St BART station. We took the BART in from the San Francisco Airport. The cable car turnaround is only a block away to take you down to Fisherman's Wharf. Also the staff were very friendly and helpful.
