Centrally located to many sites in Chicago, and has a pool and hot tub which can be rare in downtown.

Excellent location, close to theater district and fantastic shopping. Unfortunately, the hotel screwed up my reservation, made 3 months in advance, and had to put the kids and I in a smoking room, which smelled horrible. Convenient location, very disappointed by the mess up.

First of all, the hotel is in a great location. Restaurants, bars and shopping are all very close. All of the major sights are also within driving distance. The staff and service were excellent. This hotel is a great location if you want to be downtown. In walking distance to the Magnificent Mile and the John Hancock building. Staff were very friendly. The only negative is the price for parking and the pool closing at 11PM.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel! I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Chicago and wants to be in walking distance to lots of shopping, restaurants, and bars. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They provided lots of recommendations for stuff to do in the area. Great hotel for the price!

Excellent value for money hotel, right in the downtown area with fantastic comfort, service and a great restaurant within the hotel premises. Unless you are looking to be pampered, this hotel serves everything needed.

Great location - can walk to everything! We wanted to be close to the Merchandise Mart and were pleasantly surprised to be close to shopping, restaurants, movies and everything we wanted or needed in addition. Staff very accommodating and friendly. Very nice beds with some new system to change the firmness - beats a Sleep Number bed all to heck! The […] lowest level for guest rooms starts at floor 13 so would not stay there again because of equilibrium issues necessitating a lower floor, but they did the best they could and moved us down from the 16th. The service staff were so very helpful, kind, cheerful, and pleasant. Right when we got there, a lovely gentleman greeted us and gave us each a bottle of water and starburst for my 8-year-old daughter. Relatively less expensive then similar hotels in downtown Chicago but I've stayed there twice and a few things bothered me - these are minor but noticable shortcomings: 1) The TV remote and menu system is unresponsive, slow and annoying to operate and there are fewer channels than expected 2) The gym is small, windowless and short on equipment. 3) A […] certain area of the Weber Grill restaurant (accessible from the lobby) smells unpleasant in the morning - request to sit in the dining room, stay away from the booths. 4) The morning buffet at Weber Grill is inconsistent (I ate there numerous times) - sometimes good, sometimes not so good, never great. Just stayed here for a friends' weekend and had a great time. I saw some of the reviews about thin walls and mix-ups with getting the wrong size bed, etc. but we had no such problems. The staff were friendly and the room was small but nice and clean. It was quiet at night and we enjoyed the hot tub by the pool (pool was tiny, FYI). The location was […] the best part of this hotel - right in the middle of everything and there was a great market right across the street where we got snack and lunch foods. The front desk staff was not very helpful. Front desk manager was rude. Had to speak to her because I booked two rooms (one for my daughters who were joining us the next day) and wanted to check in for the second room. The transaction, since I had already checked in to another room seemed too complicated for them to handle. Hotel entrance right near subway. Very convenient. Hotel staff were very polite and accommodating. Would stay here again.

When I booked, there was no option for smoking or non-smoking rooms, at least that I remember. This is something Hotels.com needs to accommodate. Upon checking in, I was told that they only had smoking rooms and that they would move me the next day. The first night was pretty gros, everything in the room smelled like cold smoke. The comforter riecht […] like an ashtray. Disgusting! However, the next day, even as I came back not until the evening, the folks at the reception made good on their promise and moved me into a non-smoking room, which was clean and had no odors of smoke. Quite a relief. The rest of my stay was good. The Weber Grill restaurant on the ground floor is worth a visit, they serve some really nice food. Overall, the hotel is a bit too pricey for it's quality, age and amenities, but I guess that comes from being in downtown Chicago.. Leer más

My family stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Chicago at the end of Aug and then again at the beginning of Sept. It's a fabulous hotel with brilliant staff. The rooms are clean, the beds comfy, the hotel has a lovely atmosphere and it's very conveniently located. The subway Red Line entrance is right outside the hotel but not in an intrusive way. At the […] corner, you have a grocery store and it's an easy walk to the Magnificent Mile, and a longer (but do-able) walk to Navy Pier. You're also only 2 blocks from a pick up point for the double decker sightseeing bus, plus loads of great places to eat. Nordstrom and Bloomies are literally just round the corner. Fantastic location. I can't praise the staff highly enough. We were a party of 9, over three rooms and arriving on different days. Nothing was a problem for the staff. They were friendly, were bang on with directions and suggestions for sightseeing, and their recomendation of places to eat were perfect. They even remembered us on our return trip and enquired about the rest of the party. They have a small business centre so I was able to do my on-line check in for my flights and print my boarding passes, and there's a small pool and spa pool on the 12th floor with a fab view. My 2 year old loved it! We enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed again on our return journey even though we could have found a cheaper hotel. Recently went to Chicago for Bears opening day. Hotel was a in a great location. It was literally on top of the Blue Line. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an upscale hotel. The staff was also very helpful.

Rooms promised to be ready by 2pm, still not ready at 4pm. Once in, keys did not work properly, moved to another room where keys worked only slightly better. Lateness of room availability caused problems getting ready for evening performance (non-refundable tickets). Hotel management arranged for taxi pick up but times were incorrect. Management apologized […] but offered nothing until guest suggested upgrade or comp.room. Said neither was possible but extra points and a fruit basket were given. AC units in both rooms were loud enough to disturb everyone's sleep. The beds were uncomfortable and caused one to roll downhill toward the other person in the bed. Will not stay here again. Downtown Chicago is an expensive place to stay. By comparison to others in the area, this hotel is reasonably priced. The best thing about this hotel is it's location: There are literally more than two dozen good restaurants in walking distance, including a very good one (Weber Grill) in the hotel. It's also an easy walk to the shopping mecca of the Magnificent Mile. An entrance to the Red Line subway is right outside the front door of the hotel, which makes it easy (as well as inexpensive) to get anywhere else in the city. Or, you can walk 1 block to where you can get a bus to Navy Pier. The only problem I've ever had here is noise in the hallways. In Chicago for a shopping wekend. This hotel was conveniently located and within walking distance of Michagan Ave. and Watertower Place. Room was fine. Only complaint was the sheets did not fit the matress properly and would slip off while sleeping. I think this hotel can afford deep pocket sheets!

Very clean, well-located hotel. We enjoyed our stay near countless restaurants and shopping galore!! We felt safe walking around the neighborhood and cabs were always abundant. Walking to Michigan Avenue was a breeze; we even walked to Willis Tower, but it was quite a trek! We used valet for the entire trip, the service was VERY quick when we needed […] the car. I didn't like the bed, but that is just personal preference. Another downfall wasn't because of the hotel, but many of the clubs/bars nearby have an upscale dress code which we didn't plan for in the heat of summer. Excellent Hotel close to major attractions and quick access to Subway. Hotel staff were helpful and knowledgable about Chicago.

We took two girls, 5 and 9, for a Chicago weekend, and the Hilton Garden Inn was terriffic. Very close to all the sights, and a great staff. We asked for a view, and were put on the 22nd floor, in a room with two windows, which the kids really loved. Each time we left to go to another tourist desitnation, the front desk staff was very helpful, giving […] us walking maps, and even recommending a (competing) restaurant as a good place to get breakfast. It also features a convenient, well-lit parking garage next door, accessable from the inside of the hotel. My only (minor) complaint is that the windows didn't keep much "city noise" out at night, and we were awakened by sirens a couple of times. Other than that, it was a great value, right in the middle of a high-rent neighborhood filled with hotels costing much more money. Room in excellent shape, thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Only complaint is that I wish there were a set of blinds or drapes on the window that blocked outside light completely.

The hanging drapes look like they can be pulled closed in order to keep out the morning light. But don't be fooled as they are actually tacked in place. Bring one of those spring-loaded chip clips to 'hold' the drapes closed. Or be prepared to wake up at dawn if your windows face east like we found out. Major bummer. People talking and noise in the […] hallway also kept us up late and woke us up early. Desk chair and upholstered second chair were hard to move around. And it was not comfortable to sit at the desk to eat food. But at least the microwave and refrigerator functioned properly. Leer más

Staff very friendly and hotel overall very clean. Good location to main Chicago attractions. Beds weren't the most comfortable and if you plan on swimming here be aware that pool is very small and can get crowded in a hurry. Otherwise, great hotel!

Went to the CUBS game from hotel, CTA "L" stop was across the street from hotel and went right to wrigley field.
