Nickelodeon Suites Resort

I wish I could write more details, but I barely spent time on property this trip. I have stayed here several times before as well. Nickelodion suites is def. geared toward families. There are children everywhere. I have teens and they weren't really feeling it lik ethey used to when they were smaller. The rooms however are very spacious. And there are […] hook ups for video games, so bring them and your kids/teens will love you!! There are tons of slides and over the holidays they had a huge ice slide and it snowed around the pool. I actually thought it was great and would reccomend it. The beds are hard and the rooms are bare basics. Very holiday inn like. Again the space was the deciding factor. They also come with a fridge and a little kitchen area. No stove, but space for drinks and snacks. Helps cut costs when traveling as a family. I know they have busses to disney and universal. I suppose if I had not waited on line for 20 minutes to check in, only to be redirected to another line to sign up for shows, it all would have started out better. A good start means everything, sets the stage for the stay. Once on the second line, I was hit with a sales pitch for a time share. Once past this, all seemed to go well. Very unhappy with the resort fees asscoiated with this hotel. $25.00 a day to cover parking, water slides and internet. The weather was 30 degrees so no water slides and swimming and the internet did not work in our room and pay for parking that is ridiculous. The safe in our room had low batteries so it would not work. Did not discover this till we […] were walking out and locking it. Called the front desk and it took over 15 min. to get someone to come and then fix it. We were late getting to the parks because of this. The sheets were stained on the bunk beds. Did speak to the front desk and they were very nice and helpful. They did give us a voucher for 25.00 for food, but we didn't need food because we had bought a meal plan for Disney, but it was a nive gesture. Leer más

hotel was good, kids had great time, employees are excellent.

I was surprised to arrive to a room with no hot water with phone not working properly to call from desk or room service . Then next day we had no housekeeping Service had to call to get towels changed . For almost 300 for two nights not worth it .

The hotel rooms were very small and uncomfortable. I thought for the price, we would have been more comfortable.

First, when we arrived, we were told that the price we paid did not include a "resort fee" which was an additional money. We asked to opt out since we had no plans to use the pool or wifi, but we were told we had to pay it. The room smelled like a public bathroom and although having bunk beds for the kids was nice, it was too close to the common area […] so the light from the tv was in their eyes and it was hard for them to go to sleep while others were awake. The room was very appealing. My kids were older and they were still very impressed with the room. They also enjoyed the pool and watching the poolside activities. The only downside to the vacation was that my daughter's sandals and shorts and shirt were stolen while she was in the pool.

My son has always wanted to stay at the Nick Hotel, but we always stay at Disney. So when we got off a Disney cruise and decided to go to Universal, I thought it would be a great treat. We got to the hotel, and while the characters on the outside of the hotel were very dated, the parking staff was friendly. Then the nightmare began. It was the beginning […] of Thanksgiving holiday, but the people who built the hotel should've accommodated their lobby for 50+ screaming kids. The lobby is hollow and each child's scream echoes while you're waiting in a horribly long line. The walls to the checkout desk are slatted, so each 3-7 year old finally getting checked in is climbing up the desk, which shows from all the scratches. The check in staff was nice, but took way too much time with each person talking about nothing, when there were 49 people behind that person. We finally got our room, which was supposed to be a 2 bedroom standard king kidsuite in a prime location. We were literally in the farthest back corner of the hotel, in a room with a standard bed and 2 funky little side by side beds. I went to management, and once we found him (35 minutes later) he was very helpful but harrassed (oh yeah, the 'help' desk at front doesn't 'help' paying hotel guests, only people booking tours). We were finally set to rights in a bunk bed/ king room that was clean, but cold and sterile. No charm at all, even with the cutout of Spongebob on the wall. The porter who carried our cases told us to call maintenance because the TV didn't work and 3 lights didn't turn on. The average age of the Nick hotel is 5, and my 11 year old son was hugely disappointed, being a Nick teen fan himself. The Winter Party was kind of fun, but my son stood in line for 45 minutes to go on the toboggan ride one time. We took our grandson 7&8. It was perfect. They loved it. Only prpblemis that att check in we were told we owed another$200 dollars. Hurt our budget. Should nave told us up front.

Ants in kitchen area..told front desk and they said somebody would contact me and they never did..No hot water for showers. On the positive side the kids loved it..

This hotel was very family friendly. The service was great. The staff was very helpful. I thought that having to pay $50 per hour after the 11am checkout was excessive.

Ok, after reading all of the reviews for this hotel, I was quite skeptical due to all the negative comments however we loved it! I live in Orlando and wanted to take my 8 & 6 year old niece and nephew to Disney and have a fun weekend away from home. We checked into the hotel on a Saturday after spending the day at the parks and the kids were in heaven! […] As soon as we checked in we went straight to the pool then had dinner and right back to the pool. We also were told when we checked in that we should make reservations for Slime Time Live which we did also. The kids just wanted to stay in the pool but I managed to get them away long enough to see the show which they thanked me for later. The whole next day we spent at the pool, up and down the slides, participating in all kinds of poolside games and getting slimed with 50 other kids. Now to the details of our stay; when we arrived, we were charged $25 for the "resort fee" which I think is quite fair considering all of the games, activities, meet & greets and shows that were included. Once we got to our "Rugrats" room, it smelled a little musky which I could also understand due to it being surrounded by the pool/waterpark but not a big deal. The kids room did have a really cool mural on the wall and bunk beds that the kids loved. The rooms also had a pullout couch, microwave, fridge, and super comfy king bed in the master. Parking was relatively easy, elevators were slow regular elevators, no biggie. The pool was awesome and the slides were pretty cool as well, I took a few turns going down them myself. There is only 1 entrance to the pool, please make a note of it so you aren't walking around the entire place every time. It's between buildings 6&7 which also leads to the "mall" which consisted of a starbucks/ice cream counter, Subway, Burger counter, "adult drink bar", game room, store and Guest Services. I loved it and will love to go again.. the only thing is that we had to drive far to get to a walgreens or a fast food place. There is alot to do at the hotel make sure you give your self at least an entire day to explore and enjoy.

Stayed a few days over the New Year with my daughter and her family and it was wonderful. Perfect place for families.

This hotel has amazing service and that's about it. I only stayed here for my children they love all things Nick. If that's your reason to go then go but if you're looking for comfort look somewhere else. This place is just for kids.

Great experience overall for young kids(ours are 4 and 8), lots of fun for them with the waterslides and shows. Great location. I was so excited about this trip. It was a gift for my girlfriend and her daughter for Christmas. I paid for a two bedroom Suite. I was shocked at how small and extremely basic it was. The photographs were very deceiving on the website. The kids bedroom didn't even have a door on it!!! It was also very old fashioned. It states on the website that the […] pool is always kept at a constant 85degrees...wrong, it was freezing and we were unable to go in and swim. I asked one of the life guards about it and they agreed with me saying the water has been in the 40s!!!! Everyone was coming out the pool shivering. This is not a five start hotel. It is a very nice 3+ hotel that is centered on Kid. Some of extra's are expensive, but there is plenty to do that is reasonable. You can save a few dollars by staying hear over the Disney hotels and still give your kids a great experience. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The pool could have been warmer, the water was very cold when we were there. Check in took over 30 minutes because of the crowd. Should have been more staff assisting at the front desk. Overall the experience was very good.

The rooms are so much bigger than anything else around Disney or even close to that price range. The Nick resort has enough to do without even going to a park.

This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.We asked for information on the activities that they offered but no one was able to help us other than feeding us information in parts. On Monday no hot water in room and iron was broken where the water goes. And so on. We will never stay in this hotel ever again.

Hotel room was very clean but with a lot of wear and tear. It seems rooms are overdue for an overhaul. More appropriate for younger kids (I went with two teenagers). I was given a room smack in front of the basketball court, the playing started early, could not sleep in a bit. Room service closed early as well as any dining facilities.

It was fun, alot to do. The was just alittle smaller then it looks online.

Winter vacation time. Water was warm and kids (4 & 6) had a blast More food service down on 192 Was on 1st floor but was very quiet even being beside the pool. Great fun for family and parents can chill out.

Nice 2 bedroom suite with bunk bed for kids. We had a nice view on the garbage bins and it stinked. The room had a humidity scent. We spent some time on the Disney resort before, the people at Nickelodeon are not at all as friendly as Disney staff. The bed was too soft, we spent the night rolling into the middle of the matress. I liked the hotel. The room was clean and they came to clean it everyday. I'm not going to lie I was scared to stay at the hotel after see all the bad reviews about it but it was nothing like it said. This hotel is for the kids to have fun not for adults. I would go there again. My kids had so much fun.

I was really impressed with the Hotel as a whole.My youngest daughter enjoyed staying here much more than the 4 days we stayed at the Disney resort. There is always something to do here. Even the Subway in the mall on property was very affordable.The only complaint I would have was the water tempature needs to be increased in the winter months.

The Kids are entertained well here and everyone was very friendly. 2 pools with "mini" waterparks can keep them happy all day! The rooms and "mall" area need some updating or at least a good cleaning! Our room needed a good shampooing! The couch, chair and carpet just felt gross. The bath towels were so small! They could splurge on bath sheet size at […] least for the adults. I know this is a kid place but who wants to sit down at a booth that has dried food in the seat. Our family decided on a last minute after Christmas mini vacation. We found that the Nickelodeon Suites Hotel had the best rates for a large family. When we arrived our children were amazed at the room in the suite as well as the hotel ammenities. The water slides and heated pools were a huge hit! We will definately be returning! Our family stayed here over New Years weekend. The room was very small outdated and overpriced. Kids would not sleep in their room because it was dirty and beds were like a slab of concrete. TV's were outdated and cable was fuzzy. Walls are paper thin. We stayed on bottom floor and it sounded like everyone above us would come through ceiling at anytime. […] People were beating on windows and doors after 11:30 p.m. very noisy. The plan was to find a 2 bedroom suite close to the Disney parks and booked this one almost out of desperation. After the first day, our 5 year old lost all interest in Mickey Mouse and didn't want to leave Nickelodeon. This was fortuitous because overcrowding at the parks during Christmas week force several to close so Nick essentially saved the vacation. Must […] say that overall, the service was absolutely first class, all of the hotel staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. The entertainment primarily laid on for the youngsters was super and we all had a great time. The probability of our return is very high. Having read a number of negative reviews after we had made our reservation, we have to admit to some apprehension and wondering if we had made the right decision during our long driwe down to Orlando. This was our second stay at this particular hotel and let me just say in is going down hill fast. Upon check in we were prompted to upgrade to a room with favorite characters on the wall, and once again for a pool view, siezing the opportunity to do both. The front desk clerk failed to mention residing in a room by the pool would result in sleepless […] nights due to the excessive noise and LOUD music. Not only was our room FILTHY and with an odor, our TV and internet were broken as well. When we called to the front desk requesting a repair man, it took two phone calls and over 2 hours, ending up with a visit at 9pm, waking our 2 year old, only to fall short, unable to fix anything. While the attendants at the hotel are very pleasant, the hotel itself was dispicable fell far far short of any respectable expectations. Leer más

Great entertainment for kids. New Year's Eve party was very fun. Rooms are not as clean as they could be. Many rooms face the pools and are really noisy. You will be charged a $25 per day entertainment fee which is not covered through Hotels.com. Our reservation was for 6 people and upon arrival we were told our second car had to pay a $15 per day parking […] fee. That was also not mentioned in the Hotels.com website. If you make one reservation for 6 people you should not be charged for parking if these 6 people come in 2 cars. Fun for a couple of nights but would not stay longer than that. Leer más

Nick Hotel provides excellent services. It's about $50 taxi ride from airport. It provides free shuttle services to major Parks. The hotel itself has plenty of recreational activities. The downside is the room. The room decor made it seems not clean. There are 3 buildings and walking from lobby to our room which is at the other end of the resort gets […] tiresome especially if you have spent time at other parks. Nickelodeon Suites made our vacation even more memorable--very fun atmosphere and lots of activities available! Wish we could have stayed longer! There was a cold snap when we were there, but the large pools were heated and my 6 year old daughter enjoyed this, along with getting "slimed" with green water. The water park slides were open but too cold […] when we were there--would be fun to go back when it's warmer. They had a special ice slide set up for the "Let it Snow" event for the Christmas which was fun, and the decorations were lovely. Our room faced toward the courtyard with this event, and it was loud until about 10 p.m. I really liked the courtyard-facing room, though, as it had a more festive atmosphere. Our particular two bedroom suite was perfect because we had two adults, two children, and one grandma along. It had a "master" bedroom with a queen bed and door for privacy. The kids room did not have a door. One serious downside was that the twin beds were *very* loud and creaky when you moved at all on them. There was a sofa sleeper in the sitting area where grandma slept. Our room had a fridge and microwave. The food options were good--Subway in the food court was great, and the fries at the burger stand were yummy. Could have used a vegetarian burger option, but with Subway there were lots of choices. We did not eat there for breakfast, or use the buffet which was pricier. I had a very nice frappucino from the coffee shop. There is a small convenience shop in the food court, and the person working there was so nice and helpful! We bought Legoland tickets at the ticket seller in the other shop, and he told us we would not have to exchange them for tickets at LegoLand, but we did have to--they were just vouchers. They were at a good discount, so it still made sense to get them, but we did have to wait in the ticket line at Legoland.
