"about 10 minutes away from New Oxford, Hanover"
We were looking for a hotel to attend the wrestling tournament at New Oxford High School. It was about 10 minutes from the HS. Close to Hanover and Gettysburg. Pool was indoor not real big but was big enough. Breakfast was bagels, waffles, cereal. Room had fridge and microwave. Great for the price.

We had a very pleasant experience on our vacation due to the staff. Amy, the manager checked us in and was very polite. Dimattal, sorry if misspelled, was wonderful every morning greeting us and asking if we needed anything. The pool and hot tub felt amazing. very pleasant stay. karen at the desk was very helpful. the best thing which i didnt know til I got there was the FREE washer and dryer. supply your own detergent though. and a indoor pool with hot tub. eating establishments and stores on an easy walk, to and the heart of gettysburg is about a mile away

The reviews of this hotel were all correct. It's a great place to stay! Room was very clean, especially the bathroom. The continental breakfast was average. It could have used a bit more fruit like apples & pears, but other than that, it was nice. It was wonderful to be given a map of the area when we checked in. We used that map all weekend! "Appears To Be Under New Management"
We stay at this hotel 2 - 3 times each year when visiting family. It appears to be under new management. The hotel was noticably cleaner than it was on our previous stays. The fixtures in the room were in better condition, also. They have appeared, unfortunately, to have scaled back a little on the complimentary breakfast selections. This was a total surprise - the decor was great, the people were fabulous, the location was terrific, and the price was awesome, pool, hot tub, great breakfast, really nice parking, lovely service. I will be staying there again, and, again. :-)

"Wonderful place to stay"
We had a wonderful stay. Coffee wonderful. Didn/t have breakfast. But told by other very good. The room was very nice and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The pool,etc. was relaxing and clean. Anything we needed the staff was right there for us. Karen was wonderful.
"Free meatball subs"
We stayed over the holiday and in addition to a free breakfast they surprised us with free meatball subs one night! The pool and spa were also a major bonus because they were indoors and heated.

Hotel was clean, service was friendly, breakfast was delicious. Disappointed that my towels were collected and washed when I did not indicate that I wanted fresh ones - trying to be green backfired in this case.

Close to Perkins, Dairy Queen, Hoss's, McDonald's, Arby's, Wal Mart and Sheets. It is located about two miles to the Cyclorama Museum and one mile outside of the downtown district. Breakfast consisted of waffles, scrambled eggs, oatmeal and bagels. I was very happy with the overall experience and will go back again.
Motel was a good place to stay for a couple of nightsIi had no problem with anything during my stay.

We were six volunteer firefighters from Philadelphia in town for the memorial weekend in Emmittsburg, MD. We had 3 rooms that were all clean and convienent to the highway for the short trip to Emmitsburg. The complimentary breafast was very good and the area was clean. This was a great cheaper alternative to all the hotels in gettysburg. The only knock is that the room smelled like wet carpet. Bring some air freshners and enjoy!

Hotel was nice, pool was warm. Had a very good breakfast but could have kept it a little more stocked up. Beds were comforable & the staff was SUPER NICE!!! Would stay here again in heart beat.

"Breakfast layout/historical suggestions"
1. You would be better served to move your coffee/tea/hot water from its position in the right angle corner where it creates a bottleneck. Move it by itself to the left or the right. Organize it all better. 2. Camp Letterman site is just down the street from you. You might have a sign highlighting this site. 3. A simple Did You Know? sheet that mentions […] things like "Gettysburg, a town of 2400 people, was left after the battle with over 20,000 seriously wounded soldiers to care for? "This could help bridge the gap between then and today. 4. Take your staff to visit the Wills House to under stand why Lincoln came to Gettysburg . It ties so many things together.. This hotel was tucked behind a few others away from the main road, but the location provided a quiet, comfortable stay. The indoor pool was clean and enjoyable. "Super 8 Motel in Gettysburg - showing its age"
While our room was comfortable and clean, there were some small things that could be better. The room's window had no screen, so when we opened it, we ended up with some crickets and things in the room. Although our room was non-smoking, the hall and lobby had a definite stale smoke odor, and people smoking outside the front door dropped butts everywhere, […] seemingly, EXCEPT in the provided receptacle - gross. Calling it "hot breakfast" was pushing it - spongy scrambled eggs, and a self-waffle maker (not bad), but otherwise cold cereal, instant, and bread products. NOT ONE PIECE OF FRESH FRUIT!!!! At least some bananas or fruit salad, please!! Beds were quite comfortable, good pillows. Bathrooms very clean, but disliked having the sink outside the main bathroom, especially after a shower. Jacuzzi could have been cleaner; pool ok, but towels provided were woefully small and VERY SCRATCHY. We would have used our large bathroom towels and been much happier. "worth the discount price"
definately a typical super 8. good value, don't expect the moon. Breakfast was okay, runny eggs and semi-stale bagel that was better after toasting.

Room wasn't too bad, but not very clean. No maid service one day and was not pleased with that. Not too far away from the town, but wish we were a little closer. Breakfast was ok, but lots of people and coffee was not refilled. Hot tub was not hot... Not sure if it was working. Refridgerator was not cold in room.

The hotel was convenient and the room was orderly and adequately appointed. The beds were great! We needed to have the shower apparatus fixed but this was done immediately upon calling.
