el lineas generales el hotel esta muy mal ubicado, lejos de todo... la piscina climatizada muy buena. El desayuno y almuerzo terribles...la cena mejor... no se puede tomar autobus en ningun momento. los alrededores tienen solo autopista y zona industrial. cuentas con 2 bombas cercanas unicamente.pero tienes que caminar como 3 cuadras No tenian sabanas […] y cobijas limpias. I guess 1st impression is everything. The "hotel" (I thought it was an apartment complex from the hood) already has an unsafe feeling when we first arrived. The receptionist didn't help either, she was working on the computer, I stood in-line, she's working on the computer, I was the only one in line, the phone ring, she answered, laughing, speaking […] spanish. A ha !! she noticed me, continue talking on the phone and laughing, asking the person on the phone to hold, FINALLY "can I help you?". Overall, sadly run hotel, if a paying customer stands there for 10 minutes before helping him then I don't think it's empty because of the bad economy. Walking down the hallway, I have an erie feeling and thought of the movie" the shining". The room is just a square box with a bed and a TV. I think the owner already give up on the property. The smell is awful as soon as you walk in the doors. I got to my room and there was stains everywhere and it looked like the hotel was falling apart. I talked to the front desk and I viewed other rooms and they were all they same. I will never stay there again!!

Look...we got a great deal, got to see SC beat up Nebraska and have a clean room. No problems at all.

As this property was previously a sprawling Ramada Inn, it was very appealing upon approach. Now I know this is where you are expecting the "BUT". Not the case here. Entrance into the hotel was very eye catching. I will say whomever has bought this property has a lot of work to do in making use of the elements still left behind from Ramada. There was […] what looked like a make shift gift shop in plain view across the room with tacky dayglo cardboard discount signs. The empty ice cream bar (which seems like a nice idea) could be utilized in a multipurpose way I'm sure, was just an empty and sad area. The restaurant downstairs, which seems as though it was once visually very appealing with its windows facing a very detailed and nice pool area, was now filled with old carpet that needed replacing, not very nice looking furniture and less than up to date decorations. It looked as if they were just barely capitalizing (and investing) on the full use and potential of this element and space. I'd like to add, when asking the desk attendant where ice could be found I was pointed to blue food grade portable cooler at the bottom of the restaurant stairs which contained one gallon zip-loc bags of ice. Again the size of the structure and amount of rooms was remarkable. I suppose it seems a private entity or group now owns it and I believe if they invest in updated modern carpeting throughout, replacing years of un-sightly and poor patches of carpeting and dry wall, updated lighting it would have a greater appeal. The beds seemed decent, the entertainment (Television) department was okay. The television itself was a modern flat screen however the medium which programming was provided left a lot to be desired. I book this hotel because it was supposed to be very near the venue I was coming in town for, and it happened to be cheap. That should have been the warning. Cheap it was, close to the venue, or anything else for that matter, it was not. The front desk was happy to call me a cab to take me downtown, which was about five miles away. When I got in, there […] was no meter, and the driver informed me the the charge would be $23. Really, I said. $23 for five miles? But I paid since I didn't have much choice. Once I had gotten to my destination, and spent a few hours on the town, I then hailed a cab on the street to take me back. It was $12, with the tip. Ok, so the hotel has a racket going with a car service. Lesson learned. I can over look things like that, but the hotel itself looked like it hadn't been remodeled, or cleaned for that matter in a good 10-15 years. There were stains on the hallway carpets, the entire hotel had a strange smell, and the staff wasn't very welcoming or friendly for that matter. The website lists this hotel as being .6 miles from Citrus Bowl, which is why I chose this hotel over others due to the close proximity to the venue. It was, in fact, 2.4 miles from the venue, causing expenses to be a lot more because then had to get a cab for the rides. Neighborhood was SCARY!!! Upon arrival, went to desk to ask about early check […] in as had arrived on flight that landed at 11:30am, check in not until 3pm. Was not offered to have bags stored so could attend event. Had to sit at hotel for 3 hours waiting to check in. At 2:45, went to desk to see if very unfriendly desk clerk would make it "close enough" to check in time. I was the 3rd person in line. Second desk clerk was late, housekeeping had not turned over rooms by 3pm, and it took 40 minutes to finally get the keys to my room. This particular desk clerk was not prepared, not friendly, and very disorganized for the amount of people she had turned away early. The rudeness of this desk clerk put such a bad taste in my mouth over this hotel. Add to that the misrepresentation of the actual distance to a venue, it was a disappointment on many levels. The rooms were fairly clean for an older property, the smell was not good, and it was very disturbing that the housekeeper assigned to my floor did not speak any english, making asking for coffee way more difficult than it had to be. the hotel was nice clean and big, but i didn't like the confusing access to the highway at first then i got used to it. also the drive to walt disney was about 20min or soo.. the room look like same style for a long time but it was well maintaineau. i recommened this for the price i paid. the only extra charge i had to pay 5$ each day was the access […] for the phone and it was maintiory from the hotel policy. This hotel was probably very nice 20 years ago. It is in need of manitenace and upgrades. The web site is misleading, showing photos from when it first opened in the 1980s. Would not return. On a good note, location to downtown Orlando is ideal. A 5 minute cab ride at best.

Hated ut

Hotel was nasty and run down. Then I got switcxhed to another room that was just as bad. Asked to speak to the manager and he didn't even try to talk to me about the room. Steer clear of this one.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Our only mistake was not getting a car for the first few days we stayed. It wasn't within walking distance of anything except McDonalds and IHOP and since it rained for a day and a half we weren't leaving the hotel. The staff was pleasant and we had an especially good time at the bar with "Gus"

Orlando Grand Hotel is close to all of the parks. The room was nice and at a good price.

The hotel was great. I was travelling alone and felt very safe in the parking lot and in the hotel The front desk PM personnel were very helpful. Every employee greeted me anytime I met anyone. Very clean. Thanks for taking care of me. Diana

You couldn't beat it for the money, clean and inexpensive and minutes away from the Amway!

The hotel i not the newest, but it is well kept, and the room I stayed in was very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom shower head was big and old, not waht you expect in a hotel, but it worked just fine. Overall, pleasant place to stay.

i booke on this site. got there at 10 pm and they would not let me check in unless I initialed the rsort fee. I told them my room was laready book and they were adament. Signed in protest. we checked out at 7am and they knew it.

This hotel was absolutely terrible So bad that even though we didn't arrive until 2am and have 2 children under the age of 4, we refused to spend the night in the place and drug our 2 sleepy babies to the Double Tree. To name a few reasons, the place was dirty, the toilet didn't work, there were hairs all over the bathroom floor (which appeared to be […] of the pubic nature,) the air conditioning unit was moldy and made a very LOUD noise when turned on, there were multiple stains on the carpet, the kids beds (bunk beds) had no covers on them, the covers that were on our bed were stained, the elevator leading to our room was broken so we had to walk up stairs, there was some kind of very large water leak outside so there was a "waterfall" of some sort pouring off of the roof into the parking lot, which meant the parking lot was flooded, and this just to name a few reasons why we loaded up the kids, marched down to the front desk and demanded our money back. Granted, they were quick to meet our refund request, so I will give them credit for that. I guess the old saying "you get what you pay for" applies here, but I'll tell you, they couldn't have paid me to stay there!!! Leer más

The photo's of the hotel are very old. This was a beautiful hotel in its day , but not Today. Additional deposit of $20 was requested for incidentals.

This Hotel is in a good location. However; this hotel need to be updated. The bathub was in bath condition; the shower had an old faucet. I felt unsafe taking a shower. The hotel need a renovation. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

I had arranged to take my 78 y.o.mother to the live performance of "American Idol" and booked what I thought was a Ramada Inn located near the Amway Center. After we drove around for some time, we finally called the number at hotels.com and got a person who gave us the number for the hotel since what we had did not work. That should have been our first […] clue that something had changed. I had booked the hotel a couple of months before and no one told me that the name of the hotel had changed. That was the first surprise. Once we figured it out we pulled up to the door of a big lobby. Out back we could see a beautiful pool area. I breathed a sigh of relief until we got to our room, I inserted the key into a very rusty lock, and couldn't open the door. No green light came on and there was no way to know if the key even worked. They sent a maintenance person after a lengthy wait and we found that the key worked but the door was warped and I almost fell down having to pull so hard to open it. In our reservation we were supposed to get complimentary breakfast. That didn't happen either. There was a buffet that wasn't very appealing for a cost. car broken into

Hotel was one exit from mall of millennia in orlando and about one exit from downtown. The condition of my rooms were subpar. Didn't have that clean feel I normally get when staying somewhere. If you just looking for a cheap stay this is your place.

Location was rifgt for my trip, older hotel, semi friendly staff, was on third floor, hallways had carpet? had a musty odor, door to room was shaky and not sure if it was secure, food/ trash left on table by last renter or claening staff. floor was not vacumed debris all about beds were made and bathroom was clean. tolerated these imperfections because […] I was only going to be there over nite. Dinner buffet questionable as to quality, Breakfast buffet was very good and staff in the buffet room was friendly and attentive.. Recently had to put up my daughter and her husband for a couple of nights here due to lack of room at Arnold Palmer Ronald McDonald House was full there was mold on walls noisy traffic from interstate pictures did this place justice does not look like the motel in person picures are misleading and should be taken down was not happy.

Did not eat in the restaurant. It is a buffet and by 7:30 did NOT look too appealing.

Chose this Hotel as it claims to be close to the Airport, and we were relying on public transport. Price was secondary,therefore did not expect a palace. Check in was friendly. Room very damp, and electrics very temperamental. Power points in the bathroom/toilet as was the coffee maker and condiments. (Health and Safety?). Shower head was covered in […] black mold I cleaned it as best I could before allowing family to use it. Wifi did not work, and when I asked at the desk "we do not have wifi in the rooms, it is not on the Hotel description" "guest computer is over there" Adequate cleanliness - don't look under the beds or in corners. In the morning we realised that what we thought was rain was actually a deluge from floors above dumping water onto the balcony. We requested a room change but it never happened. Paid for three nights in advance. They then deactivated our keys on the second day claiming we overstayed, fortunately I had copy of my booking and receipt, there was no apology for the mistake. We were checking in and another customer was trying to check out because of bedbugs...she showed us video of it on her cellphone, which was enough to make us leave. From reading other reviews: We had to call for directions and they were very helpful. When we arrived we had questions about the area where we had to go, and again, they were very helpful. Our airconditioning did not work in our room. They changed our room right away and also sent someone to help us move our luggage. Very disappointed on arrival. Expected nicer more resort like experience from photos. Carpet, walls, furniture in the room, all seemed very old and in need of painting or replacing. No odor or other complaints. Only stayed one night.

I am very disappointed and if I could of got my money back the second I got there I would have but the manager at the front desk told me it would take 5-7 business days for my money to be put back on my card and I needed a room right then. The first room they sent us to was room 316 and it smelled terrible, the carpet was filthy and had all kinds of […] marks that looked like gum stuck in the carpet. The toilet seat was lopsided on the toilet. The room was dusty and just down right disgusting. As soon as I seen the room I walked out and back down to the lobby and asked for a refund and let the manager know how dirty and drab my room was. He then told me he would not be able to refund my money for 5-7 business days. I told him I needed my money now so I could get a room in a cleaner hotel. He said he could put me in a nicer, renovated room that would be clean. He then set me up in room 418. The only difference in the two rooms was that the carpet was just a little cleaner and the comforter was more up to date. But there was mold all over the bathroom walls along with other stuff that I could not identify. There were left over hairs and toothpaste around and in the sink. There were no bags in my trash cans and dust all over the a/c where the air filter would go. I have so many complaints and I even took pictures. The place was dusty and the carpet on top of being stained was also not vaccumed when we got in there. And my comforters smelled sour. I cant belive I paid money to stay there and I would never return to another Ramada or any Grand hotel for that matter. And I feel I deserve my money back. This hotel is right down the road from a maximum security prison in Orlando. The light fixtures in the bathroom were flickering and not working properly. The ice machine was also out of service and the hotel is hard to see off the highway due to a very small sign. Overall, the room was not maintained. I will never return to this hotel.
