Hotel reocmendable, habitaciones pequeñas, pero limpias y modernas. En invierno la calefacción funciona perfectamente, bien situado y con buen servicio. El desayuno es bastante completo. Tomé el hotel por tres noches. Desde afuera me pareció un lugar muy elegante y lindo. Pero nos dieron una habitación muy pequeña, con vista a un callejón y - literalmente- a la basura. Además llegaba el olor a comida seguramente del restaurant. Cuando pedí cambio me dijeron que no había para esa noche, pero fueron amables y me cambiaron al día siguiente […] a una mejor, con vista al parque y un poco más amplia. De todos modos, fuera de la recepción que se ve muy bien, el hotel necesita mantenimiento. En la habitación hacía frío y tuvimos que pedir una estufa eléctrica porque el aire acond. no daba calor. El personal es correcto y amable, (salvo un mozo que nos atendió en el bar a la noche) pero los precios de los servicios me parecieron excesivos. Para dar Room Service agregaban una tarifa de 5 pounds a la cuenta, ya de por sí bastante alta. Algo que no he visto antes. También cobran por el serivicio de wi fi y bastante. Y no dan desayuno. Comer en el hotel nos parecía muy caro y en los alrededores no es fácil conseguir donde comer una vez que anochece. Hay q caminar no menos de 5 cuadras. Es más ameno de día, está frente al Hyde Park y los Kensington Gardens, y se puede llegar caminando (un rato, eso sí) a varios puntos importantes, como Marble Arch, Notting Hill, y creo q Paddington. Tour groups and tourists in general seem to be very much at home at the Corus. It's quite convenient to the sights of London, so no wonder. However, for the business traveler, the amenities are a bit lacking. Uncomfortable beds, cramped toilets, slow Internet (albeit free) and minimal 'comfort space' for workers needing a hotel 'home base' make the […] Corus less than desirable. Breakfast options are limited to a fixed cost buffet (no a la carte), but the hotel next door offered a welcome respite in that regard. The hotel is well located close to Paddington and the Lancaster Gate tube station. My room was tiny and unfortunately very close to the elevators meaning that I got disturbed by arriving elevators from early morning. The bed wasn't too confortable and the pillow was hard and too thick.

Friendly & proffesional staff, comfortable beds, great location, close to pubs & restaurants. The park across the street. Walking distance from both busy oxford street as well as Notting Hill. Good breakfast. I recommend this hotel!

Me and my 6 year old daugher had a very pleasant stay. Close to Hyde Park, friendly, quiet and with nice big bathtub and the Opera restaurant in the basement. We had everything we needed.

The Hotel was Nice. Our room was so small, with the smallest double I have seen which was cramed in the corner against a wall so to get in and out we had to climb over each other. No clothes storage, just six hangers from a frame, no cupboard or drawers so our case's were on the floor with clothes in. The shower had no power and was very poor. The […] toilet blocked three times. I asked for an upgrade and was refused. This is a four star Hotel and not cheap. Having stayed in this hotel many times and recommended it to others, we were disapppointed to be given what was the smallest 'double' room we have seen.(These rooms should have been sold as 'single occupancy' rooms) Double bed was pushed up against the wall, and windows wouldn't open, no wardrobe space, just a metal hanging frame! We complained immediately […] and in fairness were given an upgrade. Our travelling companions 'toughed' it out, but brought it up with the management next morning. We were given complimentary breakfasts. Thank goodness we hadn't paid for it. At £16.95 it was very average! Tables were left stacked with dirty pots, whilst there was a large queue of people waiting to be seated - not enough staff for a Sunday morning. Excellent location, pleasant staff, somewhat chaotic breakfast but otherwise good experience!

The location is good, staff are friendly and the atmosphere in general is good. Single room size is very small and not recommended.

I arrived at 8:00 am and they gladly checked me in that early with no problems. Located was perfect, room was modern and clean. Internet was free. Loved my stay.

I booked this hotel because it was close to the tube station. It's less than a block away from the station and took about 15 mins to get down to the river area. A taxi from the hotel to Victoria Station was 12GBP. Our room was TINY. There wasn't more than 3 ft between the bed and the wall on all 3 sides. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were […] hard. Our closet sized bathroom smelled horrible when we got there, and I discovered it was because there was mold all over the door frame. I asked them to clean it and they did clean most of it off, but I think it was probably a reoccurring problem. Hyde Park across the street from the hotel was one of my favorite places that we saw during our visit. Very peaceful and I loved watching all the dogs and people run around. Neighborhood was quiet and there was a small souvenir/ convenience store right around the corner from the hotel where we bought snacks and water. The hotel is centrally located, just couple of minutes walk from the Lancaster Gate tube station. But I would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. For the kind of money they charge, the rooms are small and my bed was awful. The springs were probably worn out. So when I would sit or sleep on the bed, it would barely support me and cave into a […] crater like shape. I ended up with a bad back after just one night. And when I complained about it to the person at the reception counter, his attitude was unacceptably casual and comfort of the customers did not seem to bother him. You should say that the room are extremely small and it is nearly impossible for 2 people. The mattresses are incredibly old, we still have the marks of the springs in our bodies...

The Hotel is situated in a good location at the North Side of Hide park with the central line only 2-3 minutes’ walk away. The actual hotel was warm and friendly and the staff are more than happy to help with any questions or problems. We stayed three nights in this hotel the location is perfect and the hotel was lovely only thing was the room was small but I think that's what all hotels are like in London. Would definately stay here again staff very friendly and helpful.

Excellent hotel. Well placed for touring london. 1 minute walk from lancaster gate tube. Friendly and helpful staff. Tremendous value for what you pay. Top quality rooms. No complaints whatsoever. Even the wife couldnt complain.

The hotel location is great. It is within 10 min walking distance from Paddington Station, which is the destination of London Express (or London Connect sharing the same rout with a few stops). But it is very close to Lancaster Gate Tube Station of Central line (1 min walk). So it is convenient both to airport and anywhere in London. The hotel room is small but it is comfortable enough for tourists who plan to visit London's tourist spots instead of resort vacation. The maintenance and cleaningness is good. Wifi is free but it is slow at night and fast early in the morning. The historic Swan bar is just next to the hotel. The staff are nice and helpful. For one person it was a great room, pretty small yes, but cozy and comfortable, incredibly clean, and personnel was excellent (except for 1 girl that I was lucky enough to get at the check out, Esther I think she was). The location was great, 1 block from tube and across the street from one of the worlds most beautiful parks. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was small, but comfortable and clean. Great Pub around the corner. What more do you need!

aside from the additional charges for everything short of blowing your nose, I was very unimpressed by this hotel. The quality was mediocre at best. The room was closer to a closet with a bed than comfortable inviting space. The bed itself felt like it had been a hand me down from someone who has worn it out. The bathroom was flat out dangerous with […] an approx 1 foot drop from the bottom on the tub to the floor, without any kind of step. I picked the Corus because location was close to where I had stayed before, it had a single room available for the length of time I needed (4 nights), and their prices when prepaid were what I was willing to pay. The hotel is in an older building which I liked, but very modern on the inside which is not what I was looking for in London. The room was […] small as I expected and very modern and reminded me more of a ship's cabin rather than a London hotel room. After two days, it started feeling really stark in there. Soo, why do I rate this place so highly? The service - every staff person I came into contact with was personable, helpful, took time for me AND not only answered my questions, but anticipated what else I might need to know given my question. This was just great. And that modern lobby which seemed kind of small to me? Well, the layout turned out to be very comfortable and was used a lot by the hotel's guests. Saw people playing cards with each others, people using the computers together and singly (3 pounds for 30 minutes of internet service and very fast to get onto), having getting drinks and food service either from the bar or delivered by wait staff, people talking or reading or using their own laptops. I went down to have a drink and read for a while and as a single LOCA (lady for a certain age), felt very comfortable. I ended up having dinner in the restaurant (OK) one night and spending some more time down there on my last night. In addition, the hotel is a short walk to Paddington Station even pulling luggage which I did the morning I left. It is right by the Lancaster Square tube station. If you leave the front door and go right, within one block you are in a residential area with shops and cafes on the street level. There is even a tiny laundromat if you want to wash some clothes. Good location- Right on beautiful Hyde Park, walking distance from Paddington Station for Heathrow express and connect trains. Very easy access to the airport and still close enough to most london attractions. Rooms were clean and well-appointed by London standards. nothing extravagant but covers the basics. After a friendly check-in, proceeded to room and found it to be rather small. That said, have stayed in smaller London rooms at similar star rated hotels. Room was clean, tidy and provided all the amenities you would expect. The hotel is very well located for Notting Hill and Oxford Street - both are 5-10 minute walk (in opposite directions). clean hotel, nice facilities. my room was small, but I didn't spend alot of time in it. it was way overpriced, but I guess that happens in London, and it was UEFA final weekend so I think the prices were double what they usually are.

The hotel was very good - clean, good condition, great location! The only exception was the size of the room. While accustomed to New York small sized rooms, this room was especially small, almost claustrophobic. Service was good and we were pleased.

Our stay would have been OK, and the hotel adequate, had our room had a bed/mattress that was AT LEAST DECENT. Alas, our room had a HORRIBLE mattress. So bad that you'd feel the springs/coils when in bed. Uncomfortable beyond belief. A TOTAL embarrassment, that a hotel would have such an old, low quality, inadequate, and uncomfortable mattress.

Great location across from Hyde Park and a block from tube station and hop-on, hop off bus. Staff were helpful when approached. would recommend

Location is nearby Lancaster gate tube station and located opposite Hyde park, although the room that i stayed was spacious it was in need of modernisation. The price is above average for it's location.

Pleasant hotel, clean room, firendly staff. Generaly satisfied with stay. Good price for the location. Only complaint was being workn up at 8.15 by housekeeping knocking incredibly loud on nearby rooms doors. I can't imagine how loud it would have been had I not put my do not disturb sign on the door.
