Timhotel Jardin Des Plantes - París 48.8438, 2.35498

The location of this hotel is unbeatable, especially considering the price. It is about a block from the Jussieu metro station, which is near the Arab Institute (which means there are lots of great little restaurants from the arabic-speaking countries all around, and it provides a different perspective on Paris). We walked easily to all the attractions of the Latin Quarter, St. Germain, Ile de la Cite and Ile St. Louis, and the Marais. The neighborhood is quite attractive and full of cafes and shops, yet not quite as upscale as if it were a few blocks closer to the main attractions. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our only complaint was that the room and especially the bathroom were cramped (even by Paris standards), and they could have used some mildew cleaner on the grout in the bathroom (or perhaps it's time for some renovations). They have a nice rooftop terrace that would be a nice place to share an evening bottle of wine with friends, but we never made it there because we were too busy strolling in the city. All in all, a great location and a pleasant, no-frills hotel.

The hotel was perfect and very close to a subway station. Most of the staff was very helpfull and I would recommend staying at this hotel while in paris.

The staff spoke excellent English and was very helpful in helping us with tips and information on sight seeing. The room was small as is typical in Paris but clean. The location was great and very close to a metro station and many restaurants.

First night was frustrating because they claimed an "electrical problem" (meaning they were probably overbooked) and sent me elsewhere (they paid for the cab). The following nights were fine: courteous desk clerks, clean room, great location. This was my second time staying here and I'd stay here again.

Room was fine, windows opened, bathroom clean and functional. Wi-fi was free (included), strongest in lobby but also worked in room. Breakfast room small but pleasant, breakfast not spectacular, costs extra. Staff mostly quite friendly and professional, knowledgeable about neighborhood, English no problem. Nearest Metro - Jussieu. Very walkable, very convenient. Neighborhood is safe, lots of restaurants & shops. If you want Quartier Latin without tourists, this is a good, relatively inexpensive hotel.

Veldig greit til å være 2 stjerner. Små rom, litt slitent bad, men reint og fint og hyggelig personale. Kun et par minutter fra kjempekoselig uterestuantområde var et av de store fordelene. To gode metrolinjer fra nærmeste metrostasjon gjorde det kjempelett å komme seg rundt i Paris (5 euro for heldagsbillett på metroen kan anefales!). Vi forventet ikke luksus, og det var det heller ikke, men vi et veldig fornøyd, og det er veldig sannsynlig at vi kommer til å bo der igjen. Mye for pengene!

Hotellet ligger fremragende, i et stille og hyggeligt kvarter, skråt overfor indgangen til Jardin Des Plantes, og med latinerkvarteret i gåafstand. Metroen ligger i samme gade, så det er let at komme rundt i hele Paris. Værelset var meget lille, men rent og pænt. Fin morgenmadsbuffet, og venlig og rolifg atmosfære på hotellet, - et rigtig godt hotel til prisen.

Hôtel parfaitement bien situé pour des réunions dans le quartier latin. Chambre spacieuse, sur terrasse intérieure. Seule la TV ne fonctionnait pas correctement. Tout à fait recommandable.

Hotel agréable et bien placé,métro tout près, accueil sympa.Seul petit bémol (manque de pression à la douche)mais c'est sur je reviendrai dans cet hotel.

Rolig beliggendhed med fin gå afstand til centrum. Rent og pænt og sødt personale. Alt hvad man behøver for en forlænget weekend eller mere...

I've stayed at this hotel twice now, and would not hesitate to use it again. It is located in a quiet area, but close to many attractions. The staff were super heplful, and friendly. They answered all our questions, and always knew the best rute to where we wanted to go. Breakfast was ok, and at a good price. This makes up for the small size of the rooms, and that the walls are thin. The hotel is a 1 min walk the Jusiuss metro, Notredame is a 15 min walk away, and the open tour busses are located by Notredam.

L'hotel é situato in una ottima posizione, ideale per andare a piedi nel quartiere latino, marai etc. Ció nonostante sono rimasta molto insoddisfatta del servizio (ho prenotato una camera superieur e nonostante spiacevoli discussioni con il direttore dell'hotel, mi é stata data una piccolissima e scomoda standard) e ho dovuto a mie spese constatare quanto la descrizione ele foto sul sito internet non corrispondano al vero!!!! Le camere sono comunque molto piccole (anche le superieur, se si ha la fortuna di averla pur avendola pagata!), la sauna giace inutilizzata (inutilizzabile?) in cantina, la terrazza della colazione é chiusa, il personale lavora in maniera totalmente impersonale (guai a chiedere qualcosa!) e "disinnamorata". Insomma un hotel senza particolare charme!

J'ai exactement trouvé ce que j'attendais selon les commentaires lus: simple, propre, bon rapport pour le prix.
