Todos los hoteles en Centro de Washington D.C."My first time was the last time"
Comentado por Jennifer, deNew York, el dic 6, 2009
Unfortunately, I must say that The St. Regis Washington, D.C. was the most unpleasant hotel stay I have experienced. There were a few bulbs out in my room (in particular the bedside lamp), the bathroom lighting was dim, and most importantly, I found a few members of the staff to be quite unfriendly. I was most put off by the receptionist I encountered while checking-out, who not only looked dissatisfied with her job, but never once smiled and whose "How was your stay?" sounded more like a reluctant routine. It is uncommon for me to write such a review, but my experience must be shared for the benefit of potential guests and the hotel's staff. Adour's food and staff, however, was excellent.

Too much to say so I'll outline. Got handicapped room but do not need one Shower floor built wrong - flodded bathroom and hall Spent 1/2 day getting moved to a new room Hotel engineer said he would report flooding AGAIN When asking for new room front desk said we had been upgraded and could not promise same Delux King Checked reservation, found I had paid for a DELUX KING! Left roon in a hurry to save the rest of the day Left Cpap machine cord behind Reported it right away but could not get it back House keeper left it in her cart and took two days off They call us after we left and will send it to us so we will get it when we go home, in a month, thanks? Went to breakfast, ordered an omlet, got an omlet nothing else, like toast? Wife ordered french toast, same thing only cold. Breakfast cost $58? Thats right $58. Got omlet, french toast, 2 coffees and 2 OJs. But when cofee is $12 per cup it adds up fast. New room over looking the dumpster and new neighbors, BIG RATS. On the good side; The music from the ballroom below us was OK until about 11:30 The door men were nice Georgia Brown resturant one block away was good and you dont have to stay at this overpirced stuffy hotel to enjoy it.

Very nice hotel. Nicely maintained. Beautiful rooms. Accommodating staff. Liked the TV in the bathroom mirror. The fitness facility, however, was small.

My husband and I checked in on the afternoon of July 4. There was no attempt made to let us know about the independence day celebrations in our nation's capital although the hotel is located very close to the White House and the National Mall. In addition, we were attending the Tiger Woods tournament on Sunday. There was no attempt made to find out if we needed directions. Finally, the only piece of information the hotel registration person solicited from us, which newspaper we wanted, went unfulfilled with no explanatio or offer of an alternate paper. These elements wouldn't be a concern at a lesser hotel, but they should be a matter of course at a five-star luxury hotel.

For a 5 star hotel, I was frankly underwhelmed. The staff was awesome, the lobby and guest suite very pretty, but the lack of a coffee machine was not what i would expect, and the pull out was moldy. They didn't have 2 queen beds. I think its not a great place if you are travelling with a kid or 2. I will say, however, that its great to have a bathrobe and 12 year old scotch in the room upon arrival!

Great location for exploring Washington. Lovely lobby and the room was very attractive. Service, however, was not up to expectations for this class of hotel. There were very few smiles from the staff and simple things, like getting luggage stored so we could do a little more sight seeing before we left, took longer than necessary and seemed to be designed to enable staff to get tipped.

We decided to take a last minute trip to Washington DC to see the Cherry Blossoms. Without realizing, we chose the Cherry Blossom Festival and 10 mile run weekend. Although the traffic was extremely heavy within the city, the St. Regis is located just 2 blocks from the White House and walking distance of many memorials. We enjoyed the lovely walks among the Blossoms and loved not needing to take a taxi or public transportion to see the sights in the city. The staff at the St. Regis was extremely helpful. Our room was clean and turn down service was a lovely end to our very busy days. The shower is fantastic! It was like having a personal spa in your own room. The television behind the bathroom mirror is an extra special feature. We look forward to staying there again soon.

This was our fist time. It is in a fabulous location. The restaurant for dinner was amazing..less so for breakfest. It is a beautiful old hotel..the lobby is very nice, but could use refurbishing.

The old world hotel (formerly Ritz), unbeatable location, just 3 blocks from the White House, M-street corridor and everything else the District has to offer. Recently renovated and quite modern inside. Good size rooms, marble bath, and all amenities of a 5 star hotel. You will never go wrong with St.Regis.

I've never stayed at a luxury hotel like this before, but I find I am growing fond of being pampered and sleeping in luxe surroundings! The noise level was very low except in the adjoining bath. The food was wonderful in private dining and the beds were SO, SO comfortable. The bath was pretty, but difficult to get in and out of the tub and shower.

Wonderful, beautiful and so close to the White House and other POI's. I would stay again, the only thing I was not happy about was the $40 fee for the overnight car at the valet. Guests should not have to pay or at least less than $10 dollars a day, please.
