The Merrion

Nos alojarón en una habitación que, en el silencio de la noche, se oía un ruido constante de máquinas. En la 1ª noche protestamos y el ruido cesó. En la 2ª noche otravez el ruido, llamamos a recepción (23'30h.) y nos contestaron que se apagarian en más o menos para las 24h a las 5 de la madrugada otra vez el ruido, volvimos a protestar pero no cesó […] el ruido, finalmente nos dormidos agotados. A la mañana siguiente nos cambiaron de habitación a otra un poco mejor (con una caja de bombones y una botella de Baleys). Respecto a los cuartos baño en la 1ª habitación era deficiente para un hotel de 5 estrellas, ese tipo de cuarto baño en España casi no lo hay ni en los de 3 estrellas, me llamó mucho la atención, el de la 2ª habitación si era más acorde con el tipo de hotel reservado. Hotel sin lugar a dudas 5 estrellas. A muy corta distancia a pie de principal centro peatonal de Dubin, y a aproximadamente 15 minutos a pié de la famosa Catedral de San Patricio. La atención sumamente cortéstanto del personal del lobby como de concierge, Las habitaciones limpísimas, con hermosos baños de mármol de carrara, los artículos de baño de […] muy buena calidad,el tamaño dela habitación bastante adecuado en comparación con otros hoteles europeos, lo que hace la relación calidad-precio muy adecuados. Aunque no tiene una impresión de fahcada formidable, es muy al estilo de los hoteles irlandeses,donde acuden a recibir a los cliente un valet con chaqué y bombin. No tomamos ninguno delos alimentos ya que salimos de tour extremadamente temprano hacia Kilarney y desafortunadamente sólo estuvinnos el fin de semana pero para recordarlo siempre: una experiencia para repetir, e igualmente nos hospedaríamos en estemagnífico hotel. This hotel always provides comfort and elegance without being over the top!

My well travelled American wife and I stayed at The Merrion on a visit to Dublin which is my home town. She said it was one of the best hotels she has stayed at and combined the comfort you would expect from a 5 star hotel with a country house hotel ambiance and the friendlessness of a bed and breakfast. A visit by some of my family for afternoon tea […] was a delight although one afternoon tea serving of food is probably more than enough for two people. The Merrion surprised again by providing a take away bag for the left overs, which is very unusual for Dublin. We'll be back. Leer más

From start to finish, the staff at the Merrion treated us like royalty. The hotel itself is goregous and comfortable and located in a beautiful part of the city. My one complaint was that the room was a little cold (heat took a little while to kick in) and that the first night we didnt have a blanket on top of the bed (we also fell asleep without asking […] - with their attentiveness, i am SURE they would have brought us one immediately). I've stayed here before with my late husband; this was the first time on my own. The staff is friendly and very accomodating, the hotel itself is beautiful and the location is convenient to most things in Dublin, a great walking city. The two bars are places a single woman can sit and be comfortable when ordering a drink. I mentioned on check-in that […] the trip was a present I gave myself since my 60th birthday was the next day. When I returned to my room that day, I found a plate with three elaborately decorated cupcakes and "happy birthday" spelled out in chocolate sauce, plus a card from the general manager. Just back from a long weekend the Hotel and accomodation is warn welconming and very luxurious. It is also very popular with local business so if you want a seat during the day in the lounges with the fires you need to reserve a seat which is inconvenent if you come back in and want a quick cup of tea. . Fantastic stay from curbside greeting to checkout and departure. Every encounter with hotel staff, every minor detail of our stay, every inch of the gorgeous property was perfect. Highly recommended. Great location near the most popular Dublin sights, friendly and attentive staff and the amenities one expects from a 5 star property. The restaurant was very good if rather expensive, which is typical of Ireland in general. If breakfast isn't included, there are cheaper alternatives within a block or so.

Would recommend this hotel to everyone. Right in the middle of Dublin and so convenient for all main attractions. Hotel staff were very friendly,efficient and attended to every request immediately.Our bedroom was large,comfortable,elegantly furnished and had everything you could ever need. Good location close to St Stephens Green and all the major sites. Great support staff. 5 stars all around with the exception of the lobby and lounge areas in need of sprucing up. Comfortable large rooms with large bathrooms. Turn down service. Exquisite.

The Merrion was as advertised. Fantastic large rooms, beautiful courtyard and friendly staff. It is in a great location to do site seeing in Dublin.

We stayed for a week in Feb, 2011. The service was consistently the best we have ever enjoyed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived with our own coffee but no coffee maker. The hotel supplied an electric hot water kettle and a French press which we think they bought just for our use. The public areas are understated but immaculate. This hotel and its staff are wonderful! The location is ideal, the interiors elegant and aesthetic. A beautiful courtyard garden offers peaceful retreat from the city. The staff is friendly, attentive and actually impeccable. A perfect place to stay in Dublin if one wants to feel elegant and cared for without excessive pampering and pretension. Gorgeous public rooms, nicely appointed bedrooms and baths. Accommodating, utterly competent service at all levels.

We stayed one night at the end of a one week trip to Ireland. We were welcomed warmly and found the physical condition of the hotel to be top notch. We got a room upgrade. Our room was beautiful The food is excellent in the restaurant and bar though their in the basement at the far end of the hotel leaves a bit to be desired. This hotel is expensive but worth every penny. Beautifully done, superbly run, with excellent restaurants and staff. A lovely garden, an underground car park, interior swimming pool and old world elegance. If we had one complaint it would be that they so don't pressure you to leave your table at the restaurants that it is actualkly a little difficult […] to get a check. Everyone at the Merrion goes out of their way to be helpful and friendly, moreso than anywhere else we've ever stayed. (Including a few other hotels in this price range) The only shortcoming was the view from our room, which was of the street--we had thought we were booked into a room with a view of the gardens (which are very nice). The Merrion Hotel is superb. I just returned from from a two week holiday to Dublin and Galway (Ireland). My stay at the Merrion Hotel served to make this trip particularly memorable. The Merrion Hotel is understated elegance with an excellent staff and facilities. On the first leg of my trip I stayed for 6 nights. I was informed upon arrival that […] I was upgraded to a garden view room. This worked well. The room was lovely. The staff was attentive and I had to get used to being called often by name. Lovely. Even when unnamed, the staff was consistently gracious. After a brief stay in Galway (on the west coast of Ireland) I returned to the Merrion Hotel for two nights. This time I was in a standard room in the Garden Wing. Again, the room was excellent. The drawing rooms and artwork throughout the property are lovely. The garden - even on rainy days - was a joy to experience. The Merrion Hotel is ideally situated close to Trinity College, St. Stephen's Green and the National Gallery (which is in the next block). ダブリンを代表する老舗高級ホテルだそうですが、従業員の接客態度はとてもソフトで笑顔を絶やさず、居心地がよいホテルでした。ティールームはハイティ―をしに外から来る客で予約がかなり入っていますので、宿泊する場合でも利用する時には予約した方が良いと思います。ワイアレスWifi環境も良好でした。ルームサービスの朝食も良かったですが、40ユーロというのは少し高いかなと感じました。

Beliggenheten til Marrion var sentral til sentum. Drosjer rett på utsiden av hotellet og lett tilgang til noen av byens høydepunkt. Parker og museer. Kan virkelig anbefale hotellet til andre . Hyggelig og oppmerksomme ansatte . Fine gamle omgivelser.

Idéalement situé au centre de la capitale, proche du square du meme nom et des rues piétonnes et commerciales. Le bus touristique passe devant . Hotel très confortable et calme. Restaurants à recommander. Piscine intérieure

Bravo à l'hôtel Merrion qui nous a fait rêver pendant notre séjour. Belle chambre nettoyée deux fois par jour ! Superbe piscine, personnel chaleureux et efficace.

Charmigt hotell med supertrevlig personal. Men verkligen jättedyrt, frukosten var ej inkluderad i vårt hotellpaket och den kostade 27-35 euro/person och frukost.

Alt var over forventning. Hotellet kan bestemt anbefales til enhver, der sætter pris på kvalitet og høj service samt hyggelige omgivelser. Det helt rigtige sted at bo i Dublin. Det er ikke sidste gang, vi besøger hotellet.
