Coast Anabelle Hotel

We love this hotel! Everytime we visit LA, we stay here. The hotel is cozy, homey and very comfortable. Staff is always friendly. Great, central location for your visit to LA and surrounding areas.

We were SO impressed with every aspect of this beautiful hotel. Each clerk we encountered during our coming and going was friendly and cheerful. (My daughter and her sons were spending a few days in town to celebrate Christmas with California family.) The room was spotless ... tastefully appointed (beautiful black out drapes covering one wall) with […] free Netflix in the room on a large HD flat screen that served as the computer monitor. (My daughter was thrilled to be able to monitor the boys' TV watching and my grandsons were also impressed with the "fanned out" tissue) We dined several times in the Olive Bistro (part of the Hotel) where prices were reasonable, food was good and service was excellent. Our servers were friendly and accommodated "special requests" with a smile! Mother and I plan to return and try their "cinnamon roll french toast" ... which is rumored to be delicious! There is an entrance to the "Bistro" from Olive Ave so one need not pass through the Hotel lobby if a few stairs wouldn't be a problem. The exterior was just as clean and fresh as the interior. The grounds were well maintained and plants looked healthy and well cared for. The location is close to many attractions but not in the "hustle bustle" of downtown. It's just a straight drive down Olive from the Burbank Hills or up from a trip to Hollywood or Universal Studios. We live in a neighboring town and it was a quick drive to meet our loved ones at their delightful "home away from home". Can't say enough about our wonderful experience at Coast Annabelle in Burbank! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

I was very happy with this hotel. The location was perfect for all site seeing activities. If you plan on visiting the Burbank area, I would highly recommend. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. Be sure to have a drink at the bar and check out the food too! Both very good.

We got a good price on this hotel--it was fine for the price we paid, but would not be worth regular price. The kleenex was the roughest we have ever encountered and one day they didn't put a top sheet on the beds.

I was very pleased with the hotel. It was clean. The staff was nice. Surrounding area was nice, however there was a daily Internet fee regardless if you used it or not! I thought that was ridiculous!! I have Internet on my phone why should I have to pay for it at the hotel?

The room was very clean and comfortable. Love the widescreen TV and the computer access. Very close to Warner Bros where we were visiting the Ellen Show. If you want comfort and a nice bed to sleep on, this is the place to stay!

I stayed 19 days at Coast Annebelle. I was treated like family... the food was great...there was always staff available to answer my question...my room was clean and had the comforts of home. I have to return to Burbak for another week and I am looking forward to another stay at Coast Annebelle.

My room did not have a bathtub, shower only. So if your like to soak make sure you ask if your room will have a tub.

i paid in full but they held an extra $100 out of bank account.... which should be refunded in 14 days!!! they also charged me an extra $5 fee when i checked out for the use of the TV, I didnt even use it!

I encountered the Hotel lobby staff, housekeeping, room service staff and the maintenance worker. All were extremely accommodating, this was the best part of the stay. I really appreciated the service. The room was dusty, carpet very worn, it seemed as though the carpet was resurfaced or something it was kinda strange. The bed linens were dingy and […] worn, the room really needed updating. Although when speaking with the hotel staff she indicated that the entire hotel was just renovated. We had some plumbing problems and had to call for maintenance to bring a plunger. When that did not work, he had to replace a part for the toilet. My first day I had to replace the pillow cases, there was some type of oil on them. Housekeeping was wonderful they came right away with different cases. They did not offer to put them on for me, but I was okay with changing them myself. The new ones were still quite worn and dingy, but I knew no one had slept on those. The upholstery was was quite stained and appeared dirty in the bedroom and also in the lobby. My bedroom furniture was a bit chipped and nicked for my comfort. I understand that a lot of folks used that room before me so that was not the biggest issue. They did have a flat screen television but only got a few channels. One nice thing was they had free internet access and a computer for your use that wiped clean every day. I did not use the service. I had my own notebook. Even though I was on the third floor but I did notice the windows were not clean inside and out. I thought the price was high for the accommodations and the location, but everything else was booked solid. The Hotel felt more like a motel attempting to be a boutique hotel. I contacted Hotels.com to confirm that another hotel I was considering would be able to have 2 beds in the room. I was specific that I had 2 adults and 1 child as I looked for availability, but many of the hotels indicated rooms would accomodate 3 but only had 1 bed! So Hotels.com representative confirmed that the hotel I was considering wouldn't work […] but recommended the Coast Annabel instead. When we checked in I said "We have booked a room with 2 beds". The clerk said "I know but we don't have the standard room available with the 2 beds so we have upgraded you to a jr suite." It was wonderful - a small balcony, full kitchenette and the neighborhood was quiet! Really good night's rest. My husband and I had the king bed and son had queen sized pull out couch and we all got to gaze at the 40" flat screen tv with computer interface in case we needed to surf the web or print out driving directions. Very clean. Exceptional hotel shower (most really lack). The only downside - which was not a problem for us- was there was no pool/fitness room on site. They have another property across a small street called the safari Inn and that is where those ammenities are located - your Annabel hotel key provides access. Staff was exceptionally helpful and courteous and the location was great for Universal Studios, WB Studios and Hollywood Bowl events. Highly recommend this hotel. This was a nice place, a bit far from the "action", but that made it quiet at night! The staff was lovely, the breakfast was great. The room cleaning was not 100%, and the room itself was ok. The Coast Anabelle is a Hotel that my family members have stayed at, and I have recommended to business associates in the past. However, being a local, I never stayed there myself. Things change, I moved, and then I needed to be in Burbank for a weekend, so I booked a room, carefully selecting a hotel that had non-smoking and pool listed in their amenities. […] First off, the room was non-smoking, but the hotel lobby and hallways smell like a 50-year old ashtray that has never been cleaned. I go to check in. Although I am the only one at the desk or in the lobby, the woman at the desk appears overwhelmed and can not handle it when the phone rings and I am standing there at the same time. She then imprints my credit card on the wrong check-in slip, and only tears it in half before tossing it. VERY insecure! I ask about the non-smoking, and her response was, "Well did you read the fine print on the website?" Not something polite, like, "Let me check" but accusatory from the go. Luckily the room was indeed non-smoking since I had checked that on the web search. Now, about that pool. THERE IS NO POOL AT THE COAST ANABELLE. The pool is next door, across a side street at the Safari Inn, a sister hotel. That is also where the fitness room and laundry are, and if you are staying at the Safari, they don't have a restaurant, that is at the Anabelle. I will tell you I was pretty peeved. The Safari Inn was about 10% cheaper, and the only reason I didn't choose it is because their pool is right on Olive Ave, a busy main drag that is quite noisy. Also, there isn't any shade, and there are no umbrellas around the pool to make shade. The pool is clean, and I did walk across a street in my bathing suit to get to it, but I was so angry. When I discovered this state of affairs at check in, I said to the woman at the front desk, "That is kind of false advertising, you should really not claim to have a pool." She immediately came back with her canned response, "Well you should have read the Leer más

Convenient location, comfortable. I would stay there again in my next visit.

I chose this hotel since it was close to the Burbank Airport and was a decent price....not cheap and not expensive. My stay was terrible. First they could not accommodate an early check-in, which was fine, but a little annoying. Second problem was the room. The room smelled TERRIBLE!!! It smelled dirty and reeked of cigarette smoke. I told the front […] desk that I couldnt stay there and they told me that they were sold out and I had no choice. They offered to fix the problem by spraying half a can of Lysol and making the room smell worse. I left a message with the manager who NEVER called me back. 5 days later, I called the manager again to discuss this giant problem, she was not very apologetic and offered me a free glass of wine at the bar and a pathetic discount for the next time I stay. I will never stay there again. Its old, it has horrible serivce, the rooms are old with stained carpets, the bathrooms are disgusting too. Save your money and the head ache. Stay ANYWHERE else!!! No complaints about the hotel or staff. Room was clean staff staff was EXCELLENT. Room was nothing special but exactly what I expected. Only complaint was the location. It is close to the Hollywood Bowl so if there is an event, freeways get backed up. We ended up in traffic for about an hour trying to get to our hotel. I had a 10 month old who pooped […] on our way to our hotel. He got extremely fussy and being stuck on the freeway in traffic made things worse. Wish I would have known about the bowl and how backed up traffic can get because of the events there. I hate LA traffic!  Leer más

We stayed here while going to Universal Studios. Not a cheap cab ride (as some reviews said) so we just drove and parked - an easy drive. The rooms were clean, spacious and well equipped. My kids loved the flat screen TVs that were also computers. The staff was fabulous and friendly. We will definitely stay here again. We loved it! They charge a $5 per night "entertainment fee", this fee is specifically for the flat screen in the room. They should probably include this fee in their rate. It is pretty lame to find out you have to pay to watch t.v. - which we, did not.

I was very happy with this hotel and the location. The staff were very informative and efficient. Would def stay here again.

The room was great, beds were comfy room services was great. The view in room was nice liked beign on the third floor. I would definitely recommend.

The hotel was close to all of the local attractions ie: Warner Bros, Universal, Hollywood- All within a couple of minutes drive. The Hotel rooms were clean, nothing fancy- The only really disappointing thing on a vacation staying at a hotel is no swimming pool or hot tub.

Nice restaurants in the area for an evening walk, meal and some beers.

The customer service at the hotel is great--very responsive, friendly front desk employees. FYI, the "gym" and pool are at the very run down hotel across the street. They shouldn't be included in this hotel's description.

The hotel was very comfortable, and clean. BUT, they still entered my room, even with the "do not disturb" sign on my door. They deducted the whole amount on VISA a month before our stay, and would not give us a full refund if our plans changed, or a situation came up where our trip got cancelled.
