This hotel has the best and most polite staff I have ever came across. They went out of their way to give us a free upgrade 2 the main tower with a beachview balcony not only once but twice when they were not supposed to when we decided to stay more days than we originally booked. The service in the resturants/buffets was impeccable as well and they have something for everyone. Beef, Pork, Chicken, Fish, Pasta and even Veggie. The drinks and bartenders were great as well. The pools and beach are beautiful also. Comfortable rooms with marble everything, fridge with free soda & beer, and free room service!

The hotel staff was excellent, especially the concierge. The lobby staff was always courteous and helpful and the room service was great. On the down side, I did not like some of the food and I did not like my initial room (it should be noted that this room did have an ocean view) because it was too far from the main building (hotel is comprised of 3 buildings) which housed most of the amenities. However, upon my request, I was quickly moved to a more convenient location in the main building. Overall, I enjoyed my stay immensely.

Great hotel for the money, but long lines at the bar and restaurants. Good food and great waiter service. I recommend the thursday foam parties and the night entertainment events.

Since I use reviews to help decide on hotel stays, I will post the good and the bad about this stay. Pros--Very nice property. We had a ocean front room that was extremely nice. Food in all the restaraunts was better than many all inclusives we have done. The breakfast buffet was especially good and I loved the Mimosa station each morning!! All the staff were very attentive and every request was executed quickly. Cons--Pools were nice, but they became a communal bathroom in the afternoon. If you did not get to the pool by 9am, you can forget getting a chair. Bars. Each pool had a swim up bar. Only 1 bartender for each bar. They were hopelessly overmatched every day. It was often a 10 minute wait for a drink. Part of this problem were all the kids wanting frozen drinks. Two days we were there they bussed in large groups (40+) of local kids. This was ridiculous and quickly overwhelmed the capacity of the pool and bars. Lots and lots of very drunk college age folks each day. The beach has been washed away so all that is left are rocks which was a huge dissapointment.

Everything was great, the food,the room, the view! Only had 1 little problem with the refrigerator in the room that it was not getting cold, but that was it.

Toilet broken and unable to fix. Service non existent timeshare pressure sales all over food was not very good out of many items on the buffet Have been to 3 other Cancun hotels and all 3 were much, much better

We were at the resort for five days and by day one we were already planning when we would return. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The only downside is that the door to the room is not sound proof by any means and it can get a little nosiy in the hall. The food at the various restaurants was good however the selections did not vary much at the buffets. The sushi restaurant was quite enjoyable. The pool bars get crowded after 2:00 and we often had to wait 20+ minutes for a drink. But if you don't mind walking a little bit to a bar outside one of the restaurants you won't have to wait at all. Watch the bartenders though, some times they don't put alcohol in the drinks you'd expect alcohol to be in. Someone walked off with our suncreen and when we went to the hotel store to replace it they wanted $37 for a $3 bottle of sunscreen. Take the jungle tour...it's awesome! Overall, the resort was wonderful and we can't wait to go back.

Como profesional de la Hosteleria me duele decir esto de un Hotel, pero es necesario decirlo para que intenten solucionar ciertos problemas. El servicio de recepción es vergonzoso, solo se mueven ante las propinas, y su amabilidad, salvo en escasos individuos, brilla por su ausencia. Tuvimos inconvenientes desde la llegada a la hab. La ducha no funcionaba, el baño estaba sucio y la habitacion olia entre vomito e inundación, no estaba ventilada. El servicio de bares y restaurantes es pésimo, de nuevo sin un par de dolares era como si no existieras, aun con nuestra pulsera de All Inclusive puesta. En los rest. las colas para comer eran interminables, a cualquier hora e incluso con mesas vacias y personal de charla en las traseras de los mismos. La limpieza de las areas públicas era deficiente, el servicio de la playa y la piscina penoso, el único atento el vendedor de cocktails de coco y piña, NO INCLUIDO en la pulsera. Ni hablando con los Directores del Hotel conseguimos resolver todas las deficiencias de la habitación (Bombillas fundidas, falta de pintura de más de un palmo en pared, suciedad en la bañera y fallos en la griferia. Una remodelacion seria imprescindible para venderlo como 3 estrellas.

This is a great hotel for those wishing for a high energy atmosphere. Not recommended for those looking for tranquility. Also, those looking for a good workout, the fitness center is lacking.

My wife and I went there in 2001. Good then, better after the refurbishment after the hurricane. Food inconsistant from ok to great...typical for all inclusives. Need a bit of patience with the pace of service; it is Mexico. All in all though a beautiful property and a fantastic value for the money. I read some spotty reviews before going. I think if you take a dose of patience and treat people like you want to be treated you will love the place.

The pools, landscaping, beach and general decor are fantastic. The restaurants are very nice with inconsistent food quality (from excellent to so-so). The patio view in the ocean facing rooms is breath taking and the sound of the serf from the room washes everything else away. Room service never has their full menue and good luck if you need to call to have anything fixed. Cleaning is also inconsistent from not very clean to having a towel folded into a peacock and your bed spread presented as a bow tie on the bed. There tend to be lots of college kids, but the place is large enough that you can avoid the partiers if you like. It is not a bad stay for the price.

I stayed 7 days with my family (10 and 12-yr old boys). On the plus side, the hotel has great grounds - the pool and beach are excellent and the staff does a good job in maitaining the grounds. On the minus side, the a wait for a la carte restaurants are long and services are extremely slow. If you're ok with this, the hotel can be a great value!

To be fair I will start with the pluses about this hotel. It looked good, room was clean and comfortable. The quality of buffet meals was good, though the food at menu restaurants was below average, and some of the dishes seemed to be not freshly prepared (e.g. boxed/frozen food). Service needs big improvement. On arrival, it took them a little bit over an hour to get our luggage to our room, which is a long time if you are staying only for a couple of days. Remote control was not working and place a call on arrival and every morning of the remaining 2 day stay... The remote was still not working the day we left... In summary, if you have other choices in terms of budget, try the other option.

We requested the tower but were not asked where we would like to be in the tower. When we arrived, we found that we were given the worst view in the hotel and the next day, had to pay for an upgrade to a room on the other side but still not an ocean view. The tower is the only place we would stay, because the wings are very dark and dreary, a good place for the young singles and generally is filled with them. We were here several times before the hurricane and found it to be more tropical and romantic. Now they have glassed in the restaurants making them more formal and cold appearing. The hotel staff is very stiff and every request was an ordeal to get handled. Although it is a nice resort, we were disappointed and probably will try somewhere else.

Needs improvement. The rooms are very small especially for families. It was frustrating to know that the pool service (towels, etc.) were only open from 9-5. Not good for a beach hotel. Workers were loud and inconsiderate to those of us sleeping at 7 a.m.! Front desk service was not knowledgeable about services they offered. And....we were extremely bothered by the competitiveness with the other hotels. First time we have ever had to have a "ticket" with permission to Leave the building! Which we got and checked into another hotel after two nights.

Beautiful hotel... inexpensive, good food, the drinks coulda been better.. my only problem was the tub in our bathroom, but other than that it is a nice hotel... Hint: bring alot of $ones and $fives dont bother with pesos...

This hotel certainly has wonderful beachfront, great swimming pool area which was extremely large, the restaurants were plentiful. We enjoyed the seafood restaurant as well as the mexican dinner. Nightlife at the hotel seemed quiet but after a full day in the sun that was okay. Lots of bars during the day not so much at night. Hotel was fine maybe not the most maintained, we had plumbing problems as well as lack of telephone in one of our rooms. The sun made up for any difficulties. We will look for another hotel next trip to cancun.

Anfang November hatten wir 2 Tage Regen, danach wurde es einer unserer schönsten Urlaube!! Aber Achtung Unbedingt im Haupthaus, in der Pyramide buchen nur hier hat man überall zutritt.

Nous n'avons séjourné qu'une seule nuit et n'avons pas pu profiter du repas du soir pour cause d'arrivée tardive ce que nous regrettons car la qualité du petit déjeuner était super. Cadre agréable, piscines sympas et personnel charmant ce qui est le cas dans tous les hotels du mexique. J'y retounerai sans hésiter si je souhaitais vraiment séjourner à Cancun
