The hotel was extremely nice for the price we paid, we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was ready, we were greeted by a friendly staff. There was no waiting at check in. The customer service was above average in explaining all the hotel had to offer. Breakfast was a full hot meal and very fine. Enjoy when you stay!!

The hotel is literally located next to the busy 101 Freeway. If you are lucky and get a room near the front lobby, the freeway noise may not be too bad. Of course, I ended up with the corner room that is the closest to the Freeway. It was good thing that there was a Rite Aid nearby to purchase ear plugs! (Personally I think the hotel to should provide […] a ear plugs in all rooms that are next to the freeway.) Beyond the noise, it was average hotel with average room ammendies and average breakfast offerings. I would not likely stay at this hotel again simply because it is too close the freeway. Leer más

our air was broken..and they quickly moved us into another room and the location is awesome. The parking is a bit tight but I would stay there again!

The woman at the front desk who checked me in was wonderful - friendly, helpful, great personality. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. This may sound really rather odd however I must comment on the shower at The Country Inn & Suites. It was fantastic! The shower head was high, had wonderfully strong water pressure, and plenty of hot water. It seems like I have to "dance" between water droplets in most hotel showers in an attempt to get my hair thoroughly rinsed. Clean, comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Hot tub was cold and not on. No cookies in lobby (as advertised). No free newspaper, other than local throw away paper.

Enjoyed our brief stay, and would return again. Our room was comfortable, and my only complaint was the selection of tea (since I don't drink coffee). All in all its a very minor complaint, since I always travel with tea. Thanks for asking.

From our arrival to our departure the staff were courteous and helpful. The room was huge and very comfortable. The free WiFi is a plus, breakfast was hot, we have decided with all the amenities around there we will definitely stay there again.

filed for bankrupsy and didn't have the courtesy to call hotels.com and let them know I wouldn't have a place to stay after driving 6 hours from Phoenix. Hotels.com was very helpful though in putting us up elsewhere.

I arrived as planned on Wednesday May 11, 201 to find the Hotel had closed it's doors on Sunday May 8, 2011 without any notice only a note on the front door with an apology and 3 suggested alternate locations.........would not recommend

The room was very clean and in a perfect location. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located right against a fwy, so be sure and request rooms not located on the "T" section of the hotel. Those rooms are very quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean, big, and no problem with Wifi. Great location, right off of 101. Shopping plaza within easy walking distance with grocery store, movie theater, coffee shops, resturants. Would stay here again.

I was visiting Pepperdine University and this hotel was much more economical than some of the beachside places in and near Malibu along the coast. It is only a 20 -30 minute drive to the Univ. so it makes sense economically. The complimentary breakfast is adequate to get started for the day. The immediate neighborhood is pedestrian friendly and on Saturdays […] has a farmers market. Nearby on Las Virgenes Cyn Rd at 101 behind a fast food burger place is a great Italtian Restaurant in a strip mall. I will stay here again when I come to visit. Looking for a place that is clean , easy to get to, get a great free breakfast and its priced well, here it is.

It is a very conveniently located Hotel, it is jut too bad that they only remodeled the Lobby and not the rooms. The room smelled old and musty. The bathroom looked like it had mold around the showers. The TV is way out of date and the carpet was very dirty.

Very close to good restaurants, movie and shopping.

The food offered for the cont. breakfast was in my judgement was below standard. 1. offering a piece of banana wrong 2. when asking the server a guestion she did not understand english, 3. selection was not good.

Had to change rooms to the front because the back rooms wireless was slower than a modem. Armando was very helpful getting us to the front so we could use that wireless connection. Still not very fast, but at least I could work. BF was ok, location was fantastic. Be sure to visit The Commons just down the street. A/C was out when I checked in and the girl at the front desk was not equipped to handle the problem. She had no idea what to do. When I asked if there were any rooms where the A/C was working properly, she told me yes, but she didn't have a list and I would have to go room-to-room to check for myself. Idiot. It was over 100 degrees outside that day. […] They ended up sending some cheap fans to our room which helped us sleep. I'll never stay here again. Leer más

Our stay was really nice, no complaints on anything. Nice hotel for the price, good location, clean, and quiet in our room, we asked for a room not by the freeway, and was accomidated. Decent continnetal breakfast....

Great area--- next to a stable or something and I never knew-- couldn't even smell it!!

Hard beds, good location, can walk to the Commons. Halls were hot and humid, room was OK though, fake eggs for breakfast yuck!

hotel overall ok, but watch out for rooms facing freeway, and there is no wireless connection away from office

Our room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint is that the wireless Internet signal was very weak. I found it impossible to load streaming video or to upload large files. However, the rooms were quiet, and parking was easily accessible. It was a pleasant stay.

After some of the reviews i was a little concerned. However the hotel and its employees were outstanding. I will be coming back.

They charged my credit card $150 two days after I left claiming I smoked in the room. Neither my wife or I have ever smoked, the hotel did not follow their poicy, they won't refund the money or provide the documentation from staff and I have no recourse so my room cost me an extra $150. Don't stay here!

Right after check-in, we called the front desk to ask for a crib for our 1-year old son. After two hours, we called again and was told the crib would be right up. Then we received a call right back saying there would be a $10 charge per night for the crib. When I asked why this was not stated when I booked the room, nor is it mentioned in their guest […] service guide (mention is only made of a charge for roll-away beds), the front desk clerk got very defensive, blaming my third party booking service and an old guest service guide in the room. I was told that "if I was going to make a big deal about $10, I would need to be put on hold, while she checked in other guests." After 15 minutes on hold, I was told I would not be charged for the crib and it was delivered 10 minutes later. The complimentary breakfast was good overall. However, the breakfast attendant did not even look up or say hello, only asked for our room number and wrote it in a log. The breakfast buffet is not self-serve. However, other hotel employees grabbed plates and served themselves heaping portions. Just seemed a bit odd. Leer más

Huge room with 2 queen sized beds, the breakfast was wonderful

We were pleasantly surprised when we checked in to find a very large room with a king bed, love seat, arm chair, good sized desk and desk chair. Although Route 101 was on one side of the hotel, and we were right overlooking the pool, our room was perfectly quiet day and night. We couldn't even hear any noise from other guest rooms. The breakfast was […] much better than the usual hotel breakfast - eggs, sausage, hash browns, and waffles as well as the usual bagels, muffins and juice. The only negative was that the rooms showed a little wear, and the free wireless internet was slow (although there was a wired connection that worked better.) The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet and convenient hotel in Calabasas. Leer más

We selected this hotel based on the reviews and the proximity to LA attractions. We were mainly interested in the the Hollywood studios and not so much with the Disney/Anaheim Attractions. While this hotel is not in Hollywood, it does provide a quick 15-20 minute drive into downtown hollywood. The studios and attractions didn't open until 10 so LA traffic […] had eased. The room was very clean and confortable. Ours Featured two queen beds. When we arrived we needed a rollaway bed as well (there is a charge over and above the extra guest fee that hotels.com charges). It was then we discovered that the phone in the room didn't work. Fortunately i had the hotels # in my cell phone (thanks hotels.com) and notified the front desk. A technician was sent up promptly to fix the phone and a rollaway bed was soon to follow. The hotel is located in a nice little suburb called Calabasas. There was convenient shopping and dining with a grocery store where you could stock the mini fridge that comes with the room. The pool area was nice and had a hot tub which was a welcome relaxation after a day at a theme park, however the water was a bit (sandy) and required a shower after using. The hotel also provided additional towels at the pool so you didn't need to take and dampen your bath towel. (granted many high end luxury hotels provide this type of service but for what serves the role of a highway motor inn it was an unexpected touch) I have to say that I was the most impressed with the complimentarty breakfast. This is not your standard stale bagel and watered down orange juice continental breakfast. The breakfast included hot eggs (there was a chef cooking them right in front of us) hot crisp bacon one day, ham the next, hash browns, DIY hot fresh Waffles, a selection of 4 juices, milk, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh fruit. Nice clean tables and a veiw of the pool/hot tub area. We would definately stay there again, it met or exceeded all of our expectations. Leer más

Nice spot for the LA basin...not too expensive, friendly staff and great breakfast (until 9:30AM)! Mall across the street and good eats down the street in old town Calabasas.

I just let you know the shower in a bathroom made me angry. only few few water came out. So feel so bad to rinse out all soap residual.

This hotel is a great value in a nice place

This was our second stay at this hotel, but we had a few problems during our stay. We used the guest laundry only to find we were unable to dry our clothes because the hotel staff was using the guest dryer to dry hotel sheets. In addition to this problem we had a problem with a sewer type odor in the room from late afternoon into the evening. We advised […] the hotel staff of the problem and our room was changed immediately. We also had a problem with a very large cockroach in the bathroom. Upon calling the front desk, a maintenance person was immediately dispatched to our room and a deep cleaning was performed. The front desk staff and the cleaning and maintenance people were wonderful. Very polite, concerned and efficient. In spite of these problems, I would stay at this hotel again. No problems were encountered on our first stay and they tried to solve all our problems on the second stay. Stayed in early May 2009. Temp outside in the 90's. Air conditioning in the room was super loud the 1st night. It stopped working the 2nd night. Front desk was "busy with other guests" to help get maintenance to fix the A/C or change rooms for us. My poor kids had to straight sleepless nights. First and last time staying here.

Affordable, friendly staff, great location, comfortable room. I would skip the breakfast. Lot's of places close by.
