enjoyed our recent stay at Waikiki Sand Villa Hotel. Convenient to beach, restaurants, and Diamond Head.

I was happy with the value of this hotel and would definitely stay again. It was right within close walking distance to the beach and nearby shops.

Extremely clean, close to everything, top notch swimming pool...what else do you need?

Hotel service is so bad. It charges $21 in parking and to make it worse, the only parking option is valet parking, so every time you ask the valet to get the car, you need to pay $2 or more in tip. Hotel's complementary breakfast is the worst and the breakfast room is so crowded. Timing is poor. I wish they would have charged extra and given nice breakfast […] like the hotel I stayed in Maui. Other services is are also not good. Overall I was not happy a single moment I was in the hotel. I just wanted my vacation to be over. Leer más

Good location, but bad service! After check-out, I found I left my watch in the hotel room and called the front dest many times. Every time i was told they would check the room and call me back in a few minutes, but they never call me back.

Our room floor was very dirty. The air conditioning did not work at all. Pool water was so dirty, that we did not even think of swimming in it until later it was cleaned and also good for swimming. Jacuzzi was very nice. Be aware this hotel charges a deposit during your stay on your credit card and the shuttle to the airport is not free!

The room, with modern energy-saving features, was very clean and the hotel was conveniently located. The bed was stiff and hard, and the "high-speed" wireless was excruciatingly slow. I might stay there again, but it wouldn't be my first choice

The Waikiki Sands Villa Hotel was located within walking distance to all the shopping and restaurants Waikiki offers. Our room was on the 11th floor and was relatively quiet. I thought it looked nice for its price in the pictures, but when I arrived it was in a terrible, slightly ghetto location. Parking was $20, plus a $75 deposit, food is overpriced and no good. When we got to our room it was very small, ugly view, very uncomfortable bed, small shower with terrible water pressure, small tv and to top it all off, the fire […] alarm went off at 7 in the morning, everyone was rushing out, but it was a false alarm. So if you don't mind staying at a semi polished turd of a place and enjoy a fire alarm as your morning wake up call, then you should stay here. Overall, I am happy about my stay in the hotel Sand Villa. It is only few blocks away from the beach in the heart of Waikiki. The house keeping service was acceptable and the sheets and towels were clean. The hotel is targeting mainly Japanese tourists and you may find special Japanese appliances in your room, for example a toilet seat heater and washer! This hotel is the one you have to pay for coffee fee. One bag for $2.00 In the room you can smell toilet . very old and dirty in the bath room. The bed is very uncomfortable. The hotel is build next to min street. To noise. Can not sleep. I never come back this hotel.

Parking is 18.95 a day breakfest is small juice,coffee 2 pieces of bread and small cup of pineapple. it is included. Dont pay extra for this.

Perfect location, clean rooms , but matress and pillows so hard. Fridge at room so noise. Poor breakfast. Everyone friendly.

I love the Sand Villa for a couple of reasons. First, they have a hospitality room where you can get online any time of the day or night. Secondly, if you have a late flight, you can leave your luggage at the hotel, continue to play and sightsee, then go back to the hospitality room for a quick shower before getting on the plane. The staff is always friendly and quite helpful. The lanai is great for evening sitting to look out at the mountains, canal, ocean, etc. There is a fridge in the room but not a microwave in most rooms. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and had decent views overlooking the golf course. This hotel is centrally located and has valet parking if you have a rental car. This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel. The staff are great, actually remembered us! I enjoyed both visits there. Very close to beach, shopping.

The room was clean and tidy and the hotel employees pretty nice. Ala Wai blvd is pretty noisy, so no chance to sleep with the window open. Housekeeping is done mainly after lunch which is a bummer when you want to take a nap after lunch or just shelter from the heat.

A budget hotel that was clean and comfortable. Only minutes from the beach. Rooms are small but all we needed for a 5 night stay.

My daughter and I recently enjoyed a 9 day stay here and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. The staff were friendly, the swimming pool, hottub and surrounds were great, location to eating and shopping very central, beach only 2 blocks away and for a small hotel it was quiet and well maintained.

OMG never again the bed was hard the sheet was dirty the TV didn't work the internet was always messing up the best thing was the bar and juzzcuzie the hotel room is like a veto motel mind you when I first slept in the. Room I got sick I give them a 2 because. They give you Breakfest there a bar and best of all a jucizie

2 good things about this hotel - the view was pretty nice and it was close to the main area. Other than that the bathroom was dirty (i found a small roach in there!) the floor was dirty and everything looked rundown. I could hear the next room's TV and you could hear everyone entering and leaving the rooms around you. They asked us if we needed a wake-up […] call and then never called us. great hotel and really cheap. that was the second time i stayed there and i will stay there for sure for the next time i will go to Hawaii. 100 % recommended

Overall we liked staying here, however the beds were very very uncomfortable. We did mention this to front desk & they gave us extra comforters & they did make a difference.

boy were we shoked when we went to this hotel ,dirty floors cheap shower handles hot water runs cold after a few minutes ..The area is a real dump .surronding buildins loaded with trash all around their building..thank hotels .com but you better do a better research before you suck someonlse there.

Basically wanted a place to stay where it was convenient, close to everything, and cheap. This was it. No problems at all. House keeping staff very friendly and does their jobs in an excellent manner. Clean room everyday. Walking distance to major shopping streets, the best restaurants. Bonus was great pool, jacuzzi and great view. Major shuttle buses […] (which go to major destinations - north shore, diamond head, hanauma bay, parasailing etc) immediately know this hotel, and knows where to pick u up and where to drop u off. right next to a great jogging strip (alai blvd) if you feel like a jog in the morning. The furnishings & bathroom were old & worn, but clean.The location was excellent-close to bus lines, the beach & lots of shopping/restaurants. The staff was very friendly. The complimentary breakfast was disappointing & we couldn't get the Internet to work.

The staff was really good. The rest wasn't. The free breakfast was 2 toasts so light that i'm surprised they didn't float alongside a small cup of canned pineapple chunks. The mattress in the room were old, full of springs and you could clearly see the plastic covering over them. The bathroom wasn't really impressive in any way. I stayed here because it was cheap. I got what I paid for. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was fine.They have free breakfast but it's 4 pieces of toast and a croissant. They have cable but mine was on the fritz and teh remote barely worked. An electrical socket came out of the wall. The shower head had very little pressure. We read some sketchy reviews so we were a bit nervous- but this hotel is really great for the low price! The location is perfect to walk to the beach and the happening spots. Room was pretty spacious. Obviously you are not at the Ritz when you are buying through hotels.com so don't expect the world here. Pros- good location, free continental bkfst, […] has a pool & jacuzzi. The hotel restaurant/bar has an AWESOME cheap happy hour from 4-7 and we ate two meals there too, really good food and great prices. Cons- we had to stay across the street (I think this is the case for all who book on hotels.com or other cheap websites) although technically you are still a guest of the hotel. IMPOSSIBLE to get pool towels, pretty annoying when you are soaking wet. Parking is $18ish per night which is probably comparable to other hotels but never a good thing. Suggestions: don't rent a car unless you will be using it to leave waikiki often (not worth the cost to park). The bus system is pretty good. Bring an inflatable thing to use at the pool and beach (everyone else does too). Bring your room towels to the pool and try the Loco Moco at the restaurant. Leer más

Room was clean-but: My room was on the 10th floor and the heat was unbearable !! maintainance changed the AC filter--still way too hot..would not stay here again or I do not recommend that you do..

Loved the quiet location and the open bar...it felt like a little Mexican bar with the open windows and breeze blowing through....it was so open it didnt feel like a bar, which was inviting...and it was open late so if flight got in late you could stil have drink and relax.......just loved this place and will be back.

I was really surprised by the size of the room.. It was much roomier than I had anticipated! Very clean, nice beds. I was very grateful there was no bed spread.. You know the one you KNOW other hotels never switch out. The sheets were clean and the room overlooked the pool. My only 2 small complaints: noise from the extremely loud family at the pool […] at 6am easily radiated in the room... But then they were really loud. Good overall. Attractive design, though room slightly cramped. Has all the amenities I need.
