Although I was only there for a 1-day layover, I would not hesitate one bit to stay here for a week or more! Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, free shuttle to/from LAX and warm chocolate chip cookies at very reasonable prices. Who could ask for anything more?

The personnel at the front desk were very welcoming and accomodating. The room I was given was on a high floor, overlooking the freeway, but quiet and very well decorated with a classic look and plenty of space. Very clean bathroom with nice thick towels. We had a wonderful stay at the DoubleTree in Culver City. The staff was great, the room was comfortable and clean and the amenities nearby were great. It's very convenient to the airport, gas stations, a mall with a Target store, a pharmacy and grocery. Everything was in close proximity. It was easy to get to and near the 405. There are some things […] that could be updated, but overall we were very happy with our stay here. At check in the staff made a wonderful recommendation for dinner at BJ's Brewhouse which was only 5 minutes away. There were other restaurants nearby and the restaurant in the hotel has a delicious Chicken Quesidilla. They also have a steak option for $25 and it was worth it. The bar has excellent servers - Shannon, Simon, and Raymond were fun and friendly and contributed to the enjoyment of our stay. They have a great selection of wines and these guys mix up some great drinks. Tell them their favorite girls from the midwest say "Hello!" We will definitely stay here again! Leer más

It was very basic. Area not ideal, but didn't break the bank either.

Had to change rooms a couple of times until i found one without torn or stained carpet, but they were spacious and comfortable. Parking and Internet are problematic, but it's a pretty good value for L.A. and easy to get to most places without being overwhelmed by traffic.

The toilet wasn't working when I arrived. First, someone should have noticed that before I got there. Second, when they sent a guy with a plunger, he shouldn't have told me that he had fixed it when he hadn't. Third, when I told them that the toilet still wasn't working and asked them to just switch me to a different room (it was very late and I was […] very tired), they shouldn't have lied and told me that they had no more rooms. Twenty minutes later, when I complained that no one had come back to do anything about the toilet, they suddenly discovered an empty room two doors down from me. The double tree is a fine hotel,but would have been even nicew if there was coffee in the lobby and breakfast included in the price. They provide warm cookies, but no coffee and no breakfast. There is not much in the surrounding area other.

Stayed for 6 nights over Christmas. Rooms very nice, comfortable with adjustable Sleep Number beds. Had city view first 3 nights, means highway noise. Turn on HVAC unit fan to cancel noise. had to move because of building issue. Explaination handled very well and move was done by staff. Excellent job! Moved to other side of building and was much quieter. […] Aside from some slight amenity issues from Housekeeping like no glasses or only 1 coffee cup the room was great. I really enjoyed my stay at the Doubletree. The room was nice and comfortable and the workout facilities were great.

Our room was nice but there was a lingering cigarette smell in the room. Even the sheets had the odor. It was hard to go to sleep because of the smell. The bed was comfortable.

The bed was supposed to be a sleep number but it was broken. The bed was super hard and miserable to sleep in. The next day we notified hotel staff about this and they questioned that we were not working it properly, not that it was broked. MISERABLE NIGHT SLEEP. Quality of their food was good, selection not very good, and price, way too much!

It´s our 2nd time in this hotel. We really recommend it. It has great location, clean, comfortable and good service. The only problem is: no breakfast included. So if you wanna have the buffet breakfast in the hotel you have to pay USD 18 per person. For me, too expensive. But everything else great!

Double-Tree Hotel in Culver City, LA is in an excellent location. Close to LAX, major freeway, and shopping center. The Hotel personnel are welcoming, helpful, courteous, and the fresh chocolate chip cookies on arrival make the stay a special treat. The rooms are fine and in process of updating. The hotel was in nice condition and the gentleman (Ben) at the front desk was very helpful. I needed driving directions and he was really accommodating. Also . . . the warm cookie I got when I checked in was DELICIOUS.

Very nice hotel. Good restaurant and entertainment. Convenient to downtown, LAX, and Culver City. Would recommend it to anyone.

I did not like paying for parking at a hotel I've already paid for.

Our air conditioner caught fire in the middle of the night and we were put in a new room, rather than hassling with a refund we got a comped night - the third room they proposed to put us in had a blood mark on the head of a lounge chair and blood spatter on wall and curtains; the next room someone was still showering in; that done, we ended up in a […] nice suite with huge space and enjoyed our evening very much. This was my second visit to this hotel and it has not changed. Comfortable room, number bed for a great nights sleep, good food and the staff from the front desk through housekeeping and maintenance are friendly and top notch.

I have stayed here for the past seven years when it was a Radisson. Never have I had a problem. On this last visit I was put in a handicapped room...the shower had a ramp so there was nowhere for the water to go but all over the floor....1 inch of water covered the bathroom floor. Got a change of rooms and the key card did not work...got it rekeyed...did […] not work...had to call security to let us in. Next morning, could not get out of the parking lot...parking pass did not work. Made for a frustrating stay! Leer más

Generally the hotel was clean but there were stains on the carpet that appeared to be nail polish. There was also a parking issue; I had paid for parking for my entire stay but on one night there were a couple of special parties going on in the banquet rooms. Upon arriving back to the hotel later in the evening, the parking security said the parking […] lot was full & I would have to park in an overflow lot across the street. Paying guests should not have to be remanded to a lot a block away, rather, the special party guests should have been directed to the overflow lot. When I brought this to the front desk's attention, they did remove the charge for one night from my bill. Overall, the hotel staff was very pleasant & accomodating & the property well maintained. nice hotel a little bit noisy with a freeway just around the corner. Also too many events in the building distract our conforts weeding convention sales convention etc

The location is nice, the hotel is great looking, plenty of space, even an outside pond . The staff are nice and the services are outstanding. If there was anything the could improve, it's the parking lot. They have events at the hotel and the guests share the same parking lot.

This property was recently bought by DoubleTree, I had stayed here many times before. While DoubleTree cookies are nice, they don't make up for the $10/day they now charge for internet?!?! Really most places have free wifi and this place used to. Overall staff is not very helpful or friendly, very matter of fact. But due to the location, I would recommend […] it if you need to be in the area because the price is reasonable. The bar/restaurant is expensive and service isn't that great, but the food is pretty good and the bar selection is nice. Nice rooms and great cookies upon check in. The parking rate is a bit high but other than that our stay was great.

It Was a pleasure to stay @ this hotel

For an hotel which seems to be aiming for the luxury, or at least the upscale market, the Doubletree is really a disappointment. There was no refrigerator in my room, yet I paid a deposit for the drinks and the snacks in the minibar - that didn't exist. When I asked the desk about this, the clerk told me that the minibars were only on two floors, and […] I could be put on a "waiting list" for one of these rooms. Since it was 9pm at night, and I was only staying one night, this seemed a little nonsensical to me. Back in my room, my shower was immediately a problem with a very plugged up drain. Didn't bother to call the desk. The thin walls made my neighbor's after midnight conversation very real to me. I didn't really mind the granite-like bed but I thought wistfully of the Travelodge, much cheaper. The icing on the cake was all the hidden charges - an extra fee for wifi, parking, etc. - I love being nickeled and dimed to death. This experience made me resolve to skip the Doubletree next time. This is a well-maintained full-service hotel. We were there a week and had not one problem. The elevators are the fastest I've ever encountered. There is a grocery store and a CVS next door. A car is needed to get anywhere else. Parking costs are reasonable of a big city hotel. Only negative - Wifi is very expensive.

Our experience at the Double Tree Hotel was overall enjoyable. The only problems we had were lack of any fans in our room and in the workout room. It was very stuffy.

This hotel recently underwent a change from the Radisson to the Doubletree. That could be the reason for the confusion. I was there for a family reunion. First of all, they "sold out" of rooms that were at the reunion rate. If you want to have food at any events, you have to use their catering services. This was both inconvenient and costly. The hotel […] did have a nice gym and a nice pool but the rooms were in mediocre condition. You could tell that the hotel is in need of renovation. The ice machines on a few floors did not work. My first stay in the USA and I found hair on my pillow! Not a great start! Everything else about the room was fine, but when you see something like that, it really makes you feel a bit squeamish about using the bed and towels. I also wasn't terribly impressed to find upon checking in that parking was an extra charge on top of the room - $15 per night […] to be exact. Had a nice comfortable stay for the price! slept well even though our unit was right by the elevator. Very convenient location since we were visiting people near Venice. Would definitely stay here again if we got the same good deal.

I was the first to book into this hotel....I called Six other couples to book in the hotel....and they did book in the hotel based on my recommendation, but on my arrival, there was no refrigirator in my room while the other couples had & some didn't....I asked for a refrigirator twice at the reception, but I was told I have to wait because there were […] none...the bottom line is the couples who didn't have in the first place did get one, while I was the only one who didn't? Since the switch in companies, service is better. They still have the sleep number beds, not my personal favorite. With the better name and better services, and check-in cookies, the price has gone up as well.

Great hotel; convenient, warm cookies on arrival. Only downsides; no safe in room, and the shuttle takes 45-50 minutes (not the 15-20 minutes they tell you when you call).

They did not have any King bed rooms available. I reserved one and got a double bed instead.

The hotel was nice and clean but is located next to Inglewood and is very out-of-way.We weren't even allowed to check-in an hour early,though I'm sure the hotel had at least one king size bed available since check-out time is 12.
