En agosto del 2.010 estuvimos mi marido y yo en este hotel. Nos dieron una habitación muy amplia con una cama gigante. La verdad es que la habitación estaba muy limpia, bien decorada con estilo minimalista y no le faltaba de nada. La situación también era buena, muy cerca de BEL-AIR y BEVERLY HILLS, está en la zona de WESTWOOD se puede ir por la noche […] andando por la calle sin problemas, pero la verdad es que el coche hace falta, ya que las distancias allí son muy grandes. Made a reservation last mintue and got a great deal on a great room! The staff meant all of my requests (a quite upper room with foam pillows) and gave me also a free upgrade. I work in this area a few times a year and will look to stay here again!

comfortable, stylish hotel right next to westwood. good walking, great service and comfotable rooms. restaurant a little dark, all day!

Loved everything about this hotel. The staff were incredible - so helpful and friendly. Lovely room and very convenient location.

Great hotel. Very hip. I have two gripes; the first, is that there is not much to do within walking distance. The second, room service adds a 20% gratuity which is OK, but adds an extra $3.00 for delivery. That $3.00 charge, made me not want to order room service. The Palomar is a terrific hotel - wine at night, coffee in the morning, clean, convenient, efficient staff. My only complaint was the pillows - which were too big and hard. The front desk told me I could have asked for other pillows - so they had a solution, just too late for me to know about it.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Friendly and very helpful staff. You must love pets esp. dogs as this is a pet-friendly hotel and MANY patrons have dogs. Very neat and I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Everything was fine on my stay. The neighborhood (residential) is fine, and the internet is free. Friendly and helpful staff.

We got a very good price on the room and it was great for what it was. It is not a luxury hotel, rather a really nice mid-range place. People with allergies beware: lots of dogs.

I have been looking for a place to stay in LA for years now. This is the one! Great location, great deco, great crew.

The hotel staff was amazing and the room was beyond comfortable. We had to stay with our 2 dogs and the hotel is completely pet friendly. My dogs each got a bed and water bowls. The floors were nice and quiet and all of the staff had smiles on their faces. Can't wait to stay again!

just a great hotel, clean, good location, very good environment

I liked this hotel and didn't have a problem with it, but I personally thought that it was wayyy over priced. The over night parking was outrageous and the hotel itself wasn't thy great. The location and staff were good which was nice.

Cons: Signs of wear throughout hotel, notably on painted doors and surfaces. Some toiletry items had "Made in xxx" stickers on them. Toilet paper was awful - rugged, sandpaper, cheap. Rooms are small. Like Motel6 size. View was at an angle (paid extra for view). Couldn't really see it from the bed well enough. Some nicer touches, accompanied by cheapness. Outrageous […] totals for ordering by room service. Expected much better quality/comfort for a brand that tries to set themselves higher than others. I believe this used to be a DoubleTree property. General cheapness and lack of quality throughout. Pros: Pool open until 10 Pool is pretty good for the location and lot space. Bed was comfy Dimmer on the standing room light - nice touch. Day bed was a nice touch to the view. Reasonable food prices when going to the restaurant inside hotel (not room service). Leer más

I stay in hotels at least 3 nights a week, 48 weeks out of the year so yes, I have my issues. The staff, every one of them, is top notch and overall, the hotel is very nice. My complaints are: 1-you can't open the windows (very common these days but I do like fresh air even if it's not as clean as hotel filtered air). 2-No coffee makers in the room. […] They do a lovely coffee, tea, decaf spread in the morning from 5:00 to 11:00 free of charge (and free wine in the lobby in the evening too) but I like a cup of tea when I get in bed. I don't want to have to call room service. I don't want to go looking for it. If I can't have it right here, right now, I don't want it. 3-The bed--and here is where so many hotels blow it. There was a great assortment of bolsters, large throw pillows & pillows to sleep on. The bolster and the throw pillows were covered in visually terrific fabrics and the covers zip off but they don't look that readily washable--a thought confirmed in the morning when I saw the pile of dirty linens from other rooms--no bolster or throw pillow covers! The problem is that the pillow I'm supposed to sleep with was thrown up right next to those pillows and who knows where that pillow has been since the cover was washed last. The floor would probably be the best scenario. It may not look as trendy but I like my bed covered in all white cotton so I know it's easy to wash and I can see if it has been washed. 4-Great bathrobes in zebra stripe or cougar spots but again, I prefer my bathrobes white so I can see if they are clean. I am not accusing The Palomar of anything. I had a lovely stay. But as someone who knows hotel rooms, I am simply stating what I would have liked to know before I booked the room. Upgraded to a king suite...great space, shower and bathtub and my back was hurting, so that was appreciated. Decoration more sophisticated than I remembered. Restaurant food was very good. A little quiet, but it was Sunday night. Can't think of what would would have made it better than a loved one to share it with.

This is a very good hotel. Everything was great. The only improvment would be a tea maker in the room, we could call down for one, but by the time it came we had to leave. Great hotel though. Nice clean modern rooms.

They put all service what I need at the hotel. It is great hotel to stay in the top location !

Only negative was the restaurant was too dimly lit and the menu was limited, but the food was very good

With the exception of the driveway being WAY too small, the hotel was quite nice. I had a VIP stay here and they took good care of her with minimum hassle. I would have another person stay here again.

Not satisfied with Palomar. No other attractions within walking distance. They placed us in a room with two double beds, but they were quick to resolve their mistake. Palomar placed $200.00 of erroneous charges on my credit card. I did not appreciate having to resolve that mess (still in process). I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I really enjoyed this hotel and the modern decor and to top it off they are extremely pet friendly....I would highly reccomend this hotel to everyone even if they don't have a pet with them.

I made a last minute reservation at the Palomar, and was really impressed with the cleanliness, quiet, and modern design, as well as the hospitality of the staff. Would absolutely stay there again.

This hotel is really a sleeper for the Westwood Area. Within walking distance to downtown Westwood we were greeted by a very friendly staff when we valet our car and were given a half-price discount on parking because we had a hybrid car. Our room had a great view of Los Angeles and since we were taking our kids to Magic Mountain the next day it was […] a piece of cake because we were less than a half an hour away. The night before we took the kids for dinner and a nice walk through Westwood! And after all that we come to find out that the hotel is animal friendly which is great if you need it (which we might next time). Highly recommend this place as best bang for your buck! Leer más

The staff is very courteous, helpful and friendly. The hotel is well-maintained and very conveniently located.

This is an excellent hotel with great service. It is walking distance from Westwood Village and UCLA. The hotel upholds the high standards of Kimpton Hotels.

Front desk staff could use a bit more training on customer sensitivity! Otherwise, the hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable.

I've stayed here several times and this past visit was consistent with all previous visits. The staff and hotel are fantastic and know how to cater to their clientele. Great location. An added bonus is the free wifi in room and free parking if you have a hybrid auto.

Fantastic, from the moment you step on the premises you are treated like a king. Excellent service from all the staff.

Just had a quick overnight stay. Will come back. Staff was very friendly. Arrived late and used room service. Food arrived quickly and was hot. Meals were delicious. Beds very comfortable. Easy check-in and check-out. Will be back.

This was a nice property. I loved that it is pet friendly. Hotel was very close to UCLA and we had a family memeber staying in-patient. It would definately stay with you again.

I have stayed here several times and I have always found everything to be perfect. The rooms are well appointed, and the staff is consistently friendly and helpful. I am a middle aged woman travelling alone. and I alway feel completely comfortable, welcome and safe at this hotel. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in LA. Highly recommend

We have stayed twice at The Palimar. Last time was okay service, but the room comfortable with a single bed in the room. This time we had two rooms. The second room had four people staying and was tight. We had 2 people in the other room with two beds (couldn't get a single bed room) and it was okay. The bathroom had no large shower towels in the room […] with four people. There were a few face towels, but someone forgot to fold large towels! We called for towels, needing urgently to get to our designation soon after. Waiting and then needing to shower we had people use the second room's shower, people used face towels to dry and luckily one person brought a beach towel that he used. We called again for towels. By that night towels they were delivered. We also had reservations for dinner. That service was mediocre. The bread plates came and were dropped crashing to the floor. Our waitress forgot to bring bread after being reminded twice (still no bread), they forgot to bring spoons (for bouillabaisse) and still after being reminded. With the prices asked to pay for this hotel and restaurant, I think a review of quality service should be priority. Leer más
