Having recently stayed in the Hilton Glasgow for a weekend visit to the city, I can only say it was nothing short of excellent! The staff were efficient, welcoming, professional and very helpful especially the beautiful lady who oversaw breakfast with such charm and smile. The hotel itself was clean and everything you would expect. The only mini-criticism […] I have are the lifts - they just did not work and were the only 'Fawlty Towers' part of our stay. at the moment undergoing major lift refit so queues and delays getting up and down but overall good. went for a swim and the attendant was very helpful. very pleasant

Rooms are nicely decorated and didn't find the lighting a major issue. Good bed for a decent night's sleep. Looking over motorway wasn't a problem for us, in fact, we found it interesting and somewhat theraputic (you can't hear the traffic). Breakfast was more than adequate, although not as good as some other 4* establishments, like the Marriott. The […] location is on the edge of town and not brilliant for walking to as it is a little dark and remote but it was not a major issue for us (knowing the locale). If in doubt, take a taxi, they are not expensive (only about £4 or £5 into the centre). Overall a very nice visit, with plenty to do in Glasgow and a really lovely hotel. Leer más

convenient to our purposes

I expected abit more from this hotel to be honest.I recently stayed here for just a night with my girlfriend.I live in Ireland and she lives in Edinburgh,do I flew in for new years to surprise her and treat to a night in Glasgow. I am probably the most easy going guy in the world but I just felt that the room was abit dated and i was expecting something […] abit better.The staff were nice and friendly but I don't know did we hit the bar at the wrong time but we did have to wait a long time for food and when it came my meal was abit cold.Now as I said the staff were nice so maybe I caught on an off day.I didn't lodge any complaints during my stay but I just felt a little left down.JPPower Leer más

Wonderful hotel and city, I have never been to Glasgow before but for me it is now the new Manchester and I will be going again and staying at this marvellous hotel with fantastic rooms, friendly courteous staff and first class leisure falicities what more can I say..... Ps very handy to Glasgow central train station just pop out the side entrance […] and you can see the Hilton at the top of Waterloo Road no more than an 8-10 minute walk. Great places to wine and dine in the city so much to see and do we needed more than two days. K Leer más

The Hilton in Glasgow is a fantastic hotel to stay in if you are looking for that little bit of luxury. The standard rooms are very big with massive beds and even comfy pillows! Its only a 5-10 minute walk to the city centre which is very acceptable given the quality of the rooms. The bar is very expensive but that comes withe staying in this type of hotel. Look around for deals as you don't need to pay full price. Great hotel, comfortable room, very luxurious, however just a shade too far out of town for s girl who likes to wear heels. Was a little peeved that we were charged £4 for a bucket of ice delivered to our room, considering we stayed two nights, for breakfast. Seemed a little cheap of the hotel. hotel had no problems,lovely breakfast as usual. BUT car park needs to state more clearly there are special rates for residents as our parking was a nightmare experience and we ended up parking in another carpark a few streets away so spoilt the day for us.

After travelling home from holiday this was a welcome rest - great bed and no hassle in checking in.

Staying in the Hilton was supposed to be a highlight of our tour of Scotland. But I am sad to say that this stay was not worth the five stars awarded to the establishment. It is clear that the hotel has been refurbished, but not all the maintenace was done successfully. The staff upon arrival were friendly and helpful and the room seemed to be well […] appointed. Our problem started when we tried to turn the airconditioning on and the whole control console was loose. I tried to phone reception and was told that maintenance will be up at our room shortly. I waited for almost twenty minutes and phoned reception again, upon which I was told that someone will attend to the problem. After another twenty minutes I went down to reception myself and only then did I find a person to assist. The maintenance officer did remark that the control was loose and managed to turn the airconditioning on. We however did not get much sleep that night as the unit made a horrible noise and it was to hot and stuffy in the room to turn it off. The breakfast the next morning was however of a high quality. We were visiting Glasgow for a concert and rather than drive home we booked the Hilton through Hotels.com for about teh same as 1 concert ticket! Large comfortable room on the 17th floor and close to the concert venue. Good breakfast and a leisurely lie-in on Monday morning. Downsides? Bar prices are typical big hotel (i.e. high) and the breakfast […] room is quite noisy. Apart from that nothing to complain about. Recommended if you can get teh right rate. Leer más

Approximately a 15 minute walk to city centre. Not really suitable for walking at night, dark alleyways and quiet streets. On arrival at 3.00 p.m. room not ready had to wait half an hour. Remember this is a 5 star hotel. Our room only had facilities for two. This was supposed to be a family room. This was quickly rectified. Yes 5* for sure, very pleasent stay, used pool suana and steamroom, very nice, i have already recommended to friends.

Loved the Hotel and the staff. The breakfast was top class,pooland gym just right. Only problem I found inside was the lifts, need updated.

The only reason I didnt give all V.S. is for the work the Hilton was doing on the elevator at the time of my stay. They were upgrading ther eelevators so there was only 1 working. Everything else was great. Room and lobby area were very clean. Breakfast was really good. While I was staying there the Chelsea Football team was staying there for a game […] they were playing in Glasgow. If its a good enogh hotle for a team as rich as Chelsea you no it is nice. Helpful and friendly staff. Accommodating to my dietary needs with no fuss. Will definitely be going back. Room with view of the city fabulous.

Despite asking for a room with a nice view over Glasgow we were given a room on the second floor with a view over the motorway. The reception staff were snobbish. As there was a special deal on the evening meal we decided to have it at the hotel but the food was bad and the drinks were expensive.

We had a brilliant stay at the Hilton Glasgow.from the moment we walked into the hotel absolutely all the staff me met were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The breakfast was the best we've had at any hotel. The chefs stopped to say hello and cooked our eggs perfectly to order. The table service we received […] on both mornings was brilliant and the staff very professional and friendly. The hotel was just a five minute walk to coffee shops and restaurants and was easy to drive to even for a visitor to the city. We were sorry to leave the comfort of this hotel. Booked this hotel last minute and got a terrifc deal through Hotels.com. The hotel is first class and the room, gym, swimming pool, sauna and health spa were excellent. There is plenty to see and do in Glasgow and we will be back in the near future

Fantastic! Fabulous breakfast too!

Very happy with all aspects of the hotel except one, the parking. A ten pounds charge to park the car overnight was not obvious at the time of booking and I have to say excessive for guests. A real pity as the hotel is great but I wouldn' t rush back.

A great value stay. Decor and cleanliness of room was 5*. Free use of leisure centre (with pool, jacussi, steam room, sauna and small gymnasium) an added bonus - next time I might treat myself to a treament in one of the treatment rooms on the side of the pool. Haggis and tattie scones on the breakfast buffet is why I love coming back to Scotland! Easy […] to get to anywhere in the city from the hotel's excellent location on charing cross. this hotel is modern comfy and clean.my main complaint is that,altho we had upgraded to executive class,our room had the phone removed off the wall in the bathroom(not that i needed )it,but it should have been replaced,also the shaving mirror was missing.this i did need because the lighting was not good over the main mirror to do my makeup.this may […] seem petty,but it is annoying when you pay 5 star prices. I have just returned from a four night stay at the Hilton in Glasgow. I found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. My room was very comfortable. It is only a 10 minute walk to the city centre, and so very convenient for everything. I will certainly be back.

First off, this hotel is very hard to find if you are driving. It is on an off-ramp of the motorway which is badly signed. When we finally did find our way there we had to pay an extra £10 for parking in the hotel car park! Had a room nearest the elevators and it was quite noisy from quite early in the morning (7am) so if you want to sleep until later, […] confirm you don't have one of these rooms. The room itself was nice though there was a strange smell in the bathroom. Breakfast was only average and I would have expected better from a five star: canned fruit instead of fresh and in general, not a great selection. Arriving exhausted from delayed flights from Sydney, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism at all levels. Comfortable clean rooms completed this lovely experience.

I spent a fantastic birthday weekend at the Hilton Glasgow City Centre. The staff were exceptional friendly, accommodating and very helpful in advising us of suitable bars to visit (age related). Our room had just been renovated and was in immaculate condition furnished with a beautiful cherry and brown colour palate. We had an exceedingly tasty meal […] in the restaurant and a delicious full Scottish breakfast the following day. We used the spa facilities which were very clean, only down side was the treatment rooms were situated off the swimming pool – too noisy for us, we used another facility for our birthday pamper treatments. Over all an excellent experience and will definitely be revisiting and recommending the Hilton to my friends. Leer más

Hotel was over priced for what it offerred. I am glad we were on reduced price deal as it certainly wasnt worth the original asking price. While the room was clean the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The drain cant cope with the water so you end up standing in dirty water and the hot water wasnt very hot. The bars in the Hotel were over priced- $10.oo […] aust for a small glass of rose you must be joking and then it was watered down with ice cubes as the glasses werent cold. Not impressed- very tacky. Breakfast was very nice though although the cutlery on our table was dirty and had to be changed. I expected better of a Hilton Hotel.Parking had to paid for and there was no internet in the rooms and in the common areas had to be paid for. The only thing that disappointed us during our stay was part of the breakfast buffet. The 'hot' food was in fact only lukewarm. Otherwise the hotel is fantastic.
