The Delta Chelsea is a great place to stay in the month of december. Santa was there, as well as a gingerbread house competition, and refreshments of hot cider and cocoa. Pros: nice bar(s) (3)/ good food/ good location/price/water slide/helpful staff/ cons: bedroom not the "most" comfortable would stay there again!

We stayed 3 nights at the delta Chelsea. Staff were efficient and courteous. Bed and bedding clean/comfortable/modern (i.e. duvet, not slimey old quilt). Breakfast buffet was good. The infrastructure is in need of updating and repair. The walls were in need of paint, especially in the bathroom, where there was peeling paint and mildew on the ceiling. I don't blame the daily cleaning staff, the ceilings would be too high to reach. Our window led out to a useless patio (unless you could fit through a small window), where we could see the window screen lying on the cement. We opened the window at night for cool air, but worried that birds or bats might fly in. Few elevators worked, 3 out of the 6 in our wing. On checkout day (Sunday), it took 15 minutes to get to the lobby. The parking garage was also congested - the valets need to ensure that cabs don't park at the garage exit to load and unload passengers, they made the situation worse.

The rooms were very small in comparison to hotels I've stayed at in the past. Beds and pillows were not comfortable, hallways had many cracks & holes on the ceilings and walls. Overall the hotel needs many updates and is way too expensive for the lack of comfort it offers.

Delta Chelsea is a chain and has a location in every major city in Canada. The one in Toronto is right in downtown Toronto on Younge. Fantastic place, except traffic is horrible in the area. They provide 24hr parking (2pm - 2pm) for $26 with in/out privileges. Great deal! The hotel room was neat and comfortable and service is good, for Canadians.

It is a busy and fabulous Hotel in the downtown Toronto area. Pricy, yet its all about the location when you are staying in Toronto, be prepared spend a bit for your stay, but it met a wonderful view (probably with a balcony) and in the heart of where most of the action is taking place. its possible to go cheaper but prepare to take a bus or train ride to get to anything. Friendly and welcoming staff

The hotel room was not comfortable, in fact, it was depressing. Everything about it was one step away from a glorified hostel, way too expensive for what you get. I was on the 9th floor. Other rooms on the 23 floor where friends were staying was a bit nicer with better beds and comforters and bigger tv's. The overall layout of the hotel is confusing and inconvenient when traveling with a group of people staying in different areas of the hotel. The floors are grouped by color so you have to take a specific elevator to get to your floor, but then back to the lobby and walk over to another elevator to take that to another section of the hotel to get to other floors. The hallways were a labryinth and had poor signage. I would suggest staying elsewhere or make sure you get the upgraded room.

The all-day kids area was staffed and stocked with a wide variety of activities from painting to xbox. My wife stayed and played with our 6-year-old for hours at no cost. They also spend 2-3 hours at the pool each day. The pool area was a little chaotic and samller than ideal, but more than entertaining for kids. We also took advantage of the babysitting of the kids area for the 2.5hrs theater sitting which was just enough time to walk to many of the neighboring bar/restaurants and enjoy ourselves. DO make sure you get the "new" rooms, as even they were not very large, but definately better than the others, I imagine.

My friends and I were in Toronto for a concert and baseball games. We thought the hotel was good for the money, and thought the location was great for the venues in Toronto we were frequenting. They do take a $100 deposit on a credit card when you check in and parking at the hotel is pricey and not included in the room rate. We parked in a garage across the street and it was cheaper than the hotel garage, which was full at our check in time anyway.

The Delta Chelsea was in a great location, convenient to all parts of Toronto; however, we were disappointed in the poor condition of our room (dinghy carpet, musty smell, creaky mattress with bad springs). The "Family Fun Zone" and pool was a large factor in our choice to stay here, and we were surprised at how small the pool was. I was impressed with the lifeguard, however. She took her job seriously and was a good authority figure when some parents were not as attentive to their children's behavior. The "adults only" pool, gym, and deck on the 27th floor was beautiful, however, and the upper floor rooms seemed nicer (again, adults only). It looked like they had renovated or recently built the upper floors and lobby, but they need to work on the lower floors too, especially when they are billing themselves as a "family-friendly" hotel. The variety of restaurant options (bistro, brasserie, and a la carte "Marketplace") was good. Also, we were awakened at 8am by housekeeping staff doing a "room check", which I thought was odd. All in all, I do not plan to return there. Regardless of its positive features, there have got to be better hotels in Toronto for the price we paid.

We reserved and paid extra for a queen size bed in the room, not two doubles. We arrived late and were told we would be put into a room with two double beds. I mentioned we had reserved the queen. The reception person said they never guarantee a type of room. After some complaining on my part, she gave us free parking and was going to upgrade us the next night to a king room. Unfortunately, without the complaining nothing would have been done, the reception person's first reaction was short, cold answers. No apology or nice words. We paid extra, and did not have what we paid the extra for. Makes no sense.

Comentado por un huésped de Hoteles.com el jul 29, 2009.
I chose this hotel because some reviews stated it is a good hotel for a family. It was horrible. There were only 2 good things about this hotel: It has a nice size pool with slide that was always full and it has a nice restraunt BB33 Bistro where they serve amaizing food. The rest was absolutely horrible. We stayed there 2 nights booking 2 rooms. After 1 st night my dad went to the bathroom and when he flashed toilet it suddenly explode on him. It took a while to explain it to hotel staff when happened and involved a lot effort. Finally my dad got the room changed and hotel staff offered us free breakfast next morning. Later, in the afternoon my husband went to the bathroom and could not open the door back into the room because door got stuck. Luckily, he had his cell phone with himj, so he called my dad and ask him to call maintenance. My dad explained situation to the hotel staff and after a few minutes went to our room to check if my husband is OK. Surprisingly he found a hotel employee standing outside of the room, knocking at the door and yelling "This is service please open the door". My dad explained him again that person got stuck inside bathroom, he is unable to open room door. Finally, after 3 minutes of explanations, Maintenance person opened the room door with universal key and start knocking to the bathroom door yelling the same message. My dad explained it again. The reaction of service personnel was very impolite because he asked if my husband is crazy locking himself up in the bathroom. Finally maintenance people opened the door and released my husband. I think from all this experience that sometime before hotel was nice, but it degraded. Rooms are not maintained, so that's why all this happens
