We stayed here for 3 nights in January and found it to be a great little place. The outside of the building is fabulous, as is the reception area. Our room was in a more modern part of the building, but it was very clean and comfortable, with nice touches such as a cuddly toy on the bed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful- really they bent […] over backwards to help us. The buffet breakfast was surprisingly good, real cheeses and plenty of eggs, meats and other continental treats. On the final night there was a problem with our bathroom and they immediately upgraded us free of charge to a larger room to make up for the inconvenience. The location is a short walk from the main part of town- not far at all and far enough to be away from the partying and noise. There are also plenty of small shops and bars nearby should you need food. Overall I would give this hotel a 4/5- for the price I certainly wasn't expecting such great service and surroundings and I would definitely go back there again. Leer más
converted from a beautiful old building; full of characters and details. The receptionists are by far the best I've seen. They really make effort to make you feel welcomed! I'd highly recommend it.

Hotel design is really nice. Nice library with free internet access. Rooms are confortable and well maintained. Bed is real nice. Breakfast has several options (hot and cold). This hotel is rally good and with the cute castle look. The reception staffs are very nice and the sauna is really good. It is a good place to stay with.
"Choose another hotel until renovations finished"
While not awful there are better hotels for the price in the downtown area. Unfortunately, the hotel is going through a renovation which made it somewhat noisy at times. The condition of our room was poor compared to comparable hotels-- all small things that added up to an uncomfortable stay (mold in the bathroom, non-functioning lights and wifi, poor […] ventilation). I can only think that it must be related to the renovations and that maybe all rooms will be remodeled by early 2012. In the meantime, you'd do best to stay elsewhere. Leer más

Hotel Linna is really a lovely hotel with a breakfast spread so pretty I had to take a picture --and the food was just as good as it looked! This is an absolutely beautiful hotel. Set in a marvelous historic setting, the rooms are modern and comfortable. There is sauna available in the eveinings and bikes for use at no cost. The breakfast was delicious - your typical smorgasbord style event. Staff was very friendly and were there to meet to your needs.

Bit of a walk from the towncentre but worth it. Great, friendly staff, lovely rooms, handy for town. Didn't try breakfast but reckon it should be ok. Building work going on at the back...so expect early noise and strange smells.....but hej, it's the City!

Very nice cosy hotel made with knights time style. Rooms are rather bit small, but very cute. The breakfast was very tasty, had a big variety of fresh fruits and gourmet cheese.

Hotel Linna is great value for money. Although the rooms are dated which means that the hotel is more like a 3*. It's clean and convenient and the staff are excellent. The rooms are comfortable (no thermostat, so a little hot). Unfortunately, the sauna is only open for an hour and half each evening (around dinnertime) which meant I couldn't make use […] of it. My husband is from Helsinki so we travel there frequently for long stays. We like to try different hotels and had read about The Linna in a travel guide.The hotel was everything we hoped it would be. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with making special arrangements for us. While the room was typical European small, ours was very comfortable […] and always clean. Location was perfect, just a short walk to the city center and easy transportation. Breakfast was also very good: while not a large selection as we see in the larger hotels, it was none the less satisifing. "Fabulous deal for the price"
A lovely, architecturally interesting hotel with spotless rooms--small, as often in Europe, but with high end appointments. A few minutes further to walk to main attractions than some hotels, with a couple blocks of less desirable character, but in no way dangerous. Great service, great breakfast. The value for price can't be beat.

"Can't beat it for the Price"
I was able to walk everywhere from this hotel. The port was just 15 minutes away. The hotel itself is very charming and the staff was friendly and efficient. Good find!

Nice hotel. A step further from the main railway station than some, but within walking distance. Hotel has character.
"Exactly what we needed"
We were visiting family and friends in Helsinki, and so it was perfect. Easily accessible to downtown attractions, and also very close to the gay bars downtown. Breakfast was great, downstairs in the a little decorated cellar area. The only thing I wish would have been on the menu was a little more Finnish cooking: korvapuuti (cinnamon rolls) and karjalanpirakka […] (rye, rice cakes served with egg butter). "Vanha jugend osa, sekä uusi osa"
Hotelliin oli vasta avattu laajennus, joka oli täysin nykyaikainen. Pieni pettymys, koska odotimme vanhaa jugend tyyliä. Huone mukava, siisti, lasiseinä kylpytiloissa. Ei minibaaria. Aamiainen hyvä, ei pekonia. Palvelu moitteetonta, hyviä ravintoloita sekä ratikkalinja lähistöllä.

ホテルリナはリホームのためにホテルグロに変更になりました。 ホテルグロは、新しいホテルのため大変清潔で、ゆったりとくつろぐことができました。町の中心にあるので、観光にも便利です。ただし、４泊したのですが、４泊目は部屋の掃除はいい加減でした。やる人によるのかもしれませんが。食事は、品数は日本のようにはいきませんが、かなり質は良いです。特に、チーズとパンはかなりいけます。

Hotelli Linna sopi oikein hyvin pikaviisitille Helsingissä. Olen yleensä majoittunut Mannerheimintiellä joten siitä syytä sijainti tuntui kaukaiselta keskustasta vaikkakin hyvä sijainti oli. Hieman harmitti aamiaisen alkaminen klo 7, mielestäni arkipäivänä aamiainen saisi alkaa 6-6:30 välillä. Vietin hotellissa yhden yön ja se palveli siihen tarkoitukseen […] hyvin. Leer más

Vasta hotellista lähdön jälkeen aloin miettiä, kun luin mitä kyseisen hotellin hintaan sisältyy. Esittelyssä lukee, että huoneissa on hygieniatarvikkeita, mutta minun huoneessani ei ollut kuin suihkugeeliä. Olen törmännyt mm. suihkumyssyihin yms. tuotteisiin 3-tähden hotelleissakin, joten olisiko siistijältä unohtunut toimittaa kaikki tarvittavat tuotteet […] huoneeseen..? Leer más

"Todella hieno vanhan tyylin hotelli Punavuoressa"
Suhteellisen uusi, mutta vanhassa linnamaisessa rakennuksessa sijaitseva hotelli. Todella loistavaa asiakaspalvelua ja mukava ilmapiiri. Hotelli sisältä oli todella upea näköinen ja kirjastohuone oli tarjoiluineen ja muiden ominaisuuksien ansiosta todella piristävä. Huoneesta plussaa, koska oli luvattu 120cm sänky, mutta saimmekin 160cm leveän sängyn […] ja huone oli todella siisti ja sopivan kokoinen. Aamiainen oli perushotellimainen, mutta sopivan laaja ja sijoitettu tunnelmalliseen hotellin kellarikerrokseen. Miinus oli, että hotellin toisessa osassa on meneillään iso julkisivuremontti ja hotellin sisäpiha oli täynnä remonttivälineitä. Silti hotellin hinta oli aika hintava. Harmittavaa oli, että hissi oli epäkunnossa lähtöpäivänä ja jyrkkiä portaita pitkin oli hieman vaikeaa tuoda raskaita kantamuksia kolmannesta kerroksesta. Tämä kuitenkin tehokkaasti oltiin korjaamassa jo lähtövaiheessamme. Leer más

Hyvä sijainti, siistit ja toimivat huoneet sekä loistavaa palvelua. Raitiovaunulinja menee noin 100m päässä, kävellenkin lyhyt matka esim. Kamppiin. Pieni miinus huoneesta, joka sijaitsi huoneisiin menevän käytävän alkupäässä ja yölliset hotelliin palaajat kävivät välillä äänekkäiksi. Herkkäunisimpien kannattaa vaatia huone kauempaa/ylempää. Aamupala […] oli monipuolinen ja maistuva. Toinen pieni miinus sauna-ajoista. Sauna oli käytettävissä vain tiettyyn aikaan illasta naisille ja miehilli erikseen. Tilaussaunamahdollisuus kuitenkin, en kysynyt hintoja. Aamusaunamahdollisuus olisi mukava lisä. Leer más
