Elegimos éste hotel por las calificaciones que tenía, y la verdad nos llevamos una grata sorpresa, creo que rebasó nuestras expectativas. La habitación que nos proporcionaron era bastante amplia, con TV LCD, muy comoda y super limpia!!! Tal vez no se encuentra ubicado en el mejor lugar, sin embargo, considero es una excelente opción cerca de Los Angeles […] para descansar y no pagar más. El hotel esta alejado del centro pero cumple las espectativas de solo dormir y desayunar en LA. Tiene parking y unos grandes almacenes al lado. Tambien esta cerca de la autopista. No vayais sin coche.

Excellent value - clean, well served, secure hotel. I really appreciated the night clerk working with me to get WiFi - a matter that might need some looking into - not all rooms seem to be accessible.

The room was very nice and clean. It was quiet and secure, and the bed was comfortable.

My son and I arrived and checked in. Ulisis I believe was his name was so nice. I asked him where a Chase bank was and he printed me directions to three banks. He also upgraded our room because I really wanted a non smoking room. He then helped me by allowing me to use the hotel fax and his computer. He was so professional. Stood here for one night just passing though. Was looking for a clean/classy hotel for a reasonable price. Definitely got what I wanted. Highly recommend this place.

Please train your front desk people. He was very rude. I stayed with my family there January 13 2012 and I check in at 10 :30 pm that you can find out who was on duty. Your hotel is perfect for families to stay.

I needed a hotel in this area and this one worked fine. The guys at the desk were very nice and offered me fresh cookies when I came in. The center courtyard is small and dark and the pool is squeezed in there. The room is by far the best part. Clean. Nice Bed. Marble top furniture. Flat screen. Good cheap hotel

The hotel is under new management, and the new staff is curteous, helpful, and friendly. Our room had been newly painted and carpeted and was spotlessly clean. It did, however, have a funny smell, and the bedspread, although clean, was thread-bare. The common outdoor area is in the process of being renovated and cleaned up. A continental breakfast […] and USA Today are included without additional charge. The breakfast is standard fare but adequate. Secure parking behind the hotel is also free. The hotel is in Reseda; centrally located in the Valley; and was convenient to the venues we were visiting. There's a large selection of good and varied restaurants within a 3 mile radius. Clerk very friendly and helpful. Great hotel.

We chose this hotel since it was near to my family whom we were visiting for Christmas. Basically, we were only there to sleep for seven nights. The room was fine but every night the infrastructure (pipes, air conditioning and/or other equipment) made a lot of noise with a high ptched whine/wistle that woke us and kept us awake. Also there were a number […] of noisy guests (kids) that rampaged around in the middle of the night but no one did anything about it even though it must have awakened others. HOJO so convenient. We were close to our grandson, church for services, and the 101.

I was disappointed to find that not all KIng rooms had jacuzzi tubs )-: beyond that the room was very comfortable. The neighborhood is kind of sketch and we had problems with the entry cards a couple times as did others. Many people getting stranded at the back gate. Howard Johnson Reseda is a beautiful, well-maintained motel with great service. The rooms are well furnished. The pool and jacuzzi are small, but clean and warm. The location is blue-collar/commercial. Free breakfast of fruit, cereal, muffins & toast. There is a Kosher grocery & restaurant nearby. Short drive to Getty & Skirball museums. I stayed at this hotel because it was a short walk to a three day conference. Convenience was the main reason for the choice. It's an OK hotel in an almost rough neighborhood. No cafe or restaurant at hotel but several local restaurants deliver to hotel. The staff is friendly. Not at all what I expected after reading its reviews. The service was good but the hotel is not in its best shape. Next time I will definetely go to another hotel.

The hotel has improved greatly since being under new management. The staff were friendly and the room was clean and pleasant. As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe.

Looked like no one was staying here. The back lot was fenced off. About 6 spaces out front. Never had any problem finding aparking spot.

Rooms nice , nice inside room, working class neighborhood of L.A. Only 2 min. Walk to Magda Institute of martial arts school.

I came to this hotel as a result of a last-minute business decision. I arrived at about 9 in the evening. Check-in was easy. The room was clean and comfortable, with granite counters and other pleasant amenities. Breakfast the next morning was good, and the lobby where it is served was clean and comfortable. My business meeting the next day was from […] 11-12:30. I asked for a late checkout and they let me keep the room until 1:30. This let me comfortably change out of my fancy suit and into more comfortable and informal clothes. The hotel is great. I like the secured parking and overall rooms are nice but that night was loud as hell with college kids shouting hollering and who knows what all night through the halls. Could not sleep during such ruckus. The noise level needs to be kept down

Very safe and in a great location. The entire hotel is enclosed, felt very safe. The service and room was great! I will definitely stay there again.

When I arrived in this place I got in doubt if it was a hotel or a penitentiary. The place is conserved but the look and feel is really horrible. It is not well lit, the colors are heavy and the breakfast is a joke. Los Angeles has a lot of best places to stay. Look for any other place to stay.

The hotel is in a not so great area so I had that image in my head walking in. As soon as I entered the Hotel that was all turned around. The inside greeting area was very nice and the staff was even nicer. I had arrived way before the rooms were ready, but they went ahead and made a room for me and let me check in 3 hours ahead of check-in time. Parking […] was in a gated parking lot and I was very grateful for that service because of the neighborhood. The room was in exceptional shape especially for only being a 2 star hotel. The room was surprisingly roomy and well furnished. The bathroom was quite nice, recently updated it appeared. The bed was large and comfortable. Other than the limited parking in front, for the money this place was quite nice. Bear in mind that there is no elevator, but the stairs are wide and manageable.

Staff was very helpful and willing to honor lower price for hotel we found online. Clean, good continental breakfast and friendly staff. VERY secure complex.

Just what we needed after long drive. It was a bit out of the way from the tourist attractions but then the price was very good. Everything was clean.

I once stayed at a howard johnson in anahiem, which was not a great experience. When we found this hotel, i was iffy about giving it another chance. Rooms were celan,but carpets smell bad and room was old fashioned.good things:free parking which is very important if u stay in la.free wireless was available at the hotel,but not good speed.overall i can recommend if you want to stay far away from central LA.

Loud muc\sic was playing in a room next to me until 5 AM and nobody did anything about it even after complains to the front desk.

The Howard Johnson Hotel in Northridge CA is a great place. The staff is helpful and friendly. We have a nice continental breakfast every morning. Good location. We have come here many times. Only thing I wish is that they would accept pets!!! That would be nice. But...it is a very nice place. Nanette

I booked this hotel without viewing the pictures because I trusted the judgement of the operator who "helped" me. However, I was not at all impressed with this hotel at all. It was supposed to be rated 4/5 and it looked more like -4/5. My room spelled like paint and I ended up with a headache. Hotel was clean, neighborhood was good, and it was enjoyable.

For starters I will say the room is clean. I never could stand those awful cheap comfortters that lay on the beds. I always take mines off and use my own or use the thin one, turn the heater on, ask for another etc. The hotel itself is not so bad. The walls are thin and I could hear children banging loudly and playing in the room next door. The set […] up is strange. Simular to a locked in place in that they lock the gate to the parking lot and you cant get in w/out a key. At night they lock the door to the front office until 6:30 a.m. which is the only entrance you can go through if you have your car parked in the front due to the small parking space in the back. The clerk has to get up and open the door. All in all the freeway is semi close and although the neighbour hood is scary, with all the lock down hopefully you wont have to worry about being burglarized. There's a few convience stores, a Denny's and other small family restaurants in the area if your hungry. Theres a 24hr 7 eleven within walking distance however if you dont drive i wouldnt suggest going out at night. A friend of mines sent her 14yrold daughters to the 7eleven around 8:30 and they came back with stories of men propositioning them. Its fairly cheap but than again there are other hotels within the same range so I would suggest checking around first however I wouldnt say its as bad as being a last option either. Honestly if you can avoid it I'd say stay out of the hotel vicinity of that which is Reseda. The area just isnt right. Leer más

Great location, very close to the college campus. Adequate room, comfortable if not the most plush. Nice small spa and pool. Breakfast modest but fair. Best part...fresh cookies in the afternoons/evenings! Made the stay home-like.
