Resort fees need to be added directly into the price on Hotels.com; putting a little line down on the bottom of the page doesn't cut it. I expected my room to be paid in full by going through this site. The little line at the bottom of the page didn't even say how much the resort fee would be. Sneaking extra charges in the fine print is not the level […] of service I expected from Hotels.com and getting hit with a mandatory extra $50+ on checkout leaves a bad taste in your mouth. FYI, the free buffet that you can with some reservations doesn't start until 8am; so if you need breakfast earlier because you are there on business, you are on your own. Napa Bistro restaurant has a good Happy Hour from 4-6pm with half-off drinks and small plates so that was the highlight of the hotel. The room was nice and clean so no complaints there. Leer más

My family and I always stay at the Atlantis whenever we stay in Reno. I have stayed in other hotels that are not as nice with all the amenities as the Atlantis. I believe they have the best buffet in town for breakfast and dinner. (Have not eaten lunch there). The indoor pool is great for when it is winter time. A nice, quiet room, good restaurants, and a location near the airport make The Atlantis a pretty good choice. A more responsive TV remote, more employees at check in, and a concierge who was actually at the concierge desk would have been nice, however.

paid ten dollars extra for a couple of breakfast buffets and found out at check in, that to get them, you have to sign up for their card. Would have been nice to know up front. Although I requested a non-smoking room, the whole hotel reeks of cigarette smoke. We originally had a room on the seventh floor. After expressing my frustration with the smoke, they moved us up to the 13th floor - didn't make a difference! Though the rooms were pretty good, clean and comfortable the hotel had the smell of smoke almost everywhere. For someone with kids and housewives it will be tough.

Hotel is newer, clean, and a little bit farther away from the downtown casino area, which I preferred as I thought it would be safer and cleaner. The staff are helpful and friendly. When looking for a place, they do not just tell you how to get there, they actually walk with you there! I will certainly stay there again.

Atlantis Hotel is a nice break when driving from Las Vegas to Sacramento area through Nevada. Nice property, not in Downtown Reno, easily accessible. Room has been ready when needed each time.

Nice place lot better than other Hotels in Reno.

Great hotel, but lots of hidden fees. Hotels.com does not disclose the hefty resort fee in addition to taxes and other fees. It significantly changes your "great deal".

The room was very nice - beautiful in fact. Everything was new and clean - but no refrigerator. That was a surprise. The casino was very opulent, and service was good. There were a few mishaps throughout the casino on our stay - we had a very drunk group of younger people in the non-smoking area of the casino, and I ended up getting one of their drink […] glasses sent sailing against my leg during their antics. Nice clean rooms with modern flat panel TV asnd free plug in or wifi internet. Only negative is the resort fee which is crap.

I know it's a casino, but the smoke on my non smoking floor was pretty bad. The room was OK although my sister said her room smelled of smoke. No matter how low we lowered the thermostat it was still way too warm. That was my major complaint ......then in the morning I saw where you could let in fresh air from the window..it opened about an inch. Someone […] should have told us as it was hard to see. nice overall experience, but a little disapointed with the pool.

Maybe it's all hotels in Nevada, don't know - this was our first. But it was very smoky from the moment we stepped in the door. Our room was nonsmoking, on a nonsmoking floor. The room itself was ok - didn't smell, but even the hallway had a faint smoky smell as soon as you walked into it. We tried to go to one of the restaurants, and the staff there […] were really nice, but all of the restaurants were also smoky so we ended up having to take the food back to our room just so we could breathe and enjoy the food. The hotel rate included $15 worth of free slots. What they didn't explain - and took me an hour of trying to figure out and 3 employees I asked - was that to get your free $15 of play you have to put your own money in the machine. Then you can get your money back? Not sure how that works, but in my mind it's a scam. If I get $15 worth of free slots, I should get $15 worth of free slots without having to put down my own money. There are other hotels in Reno. I asked someone at the airport if there were any non-smoking hotels in Reno, which she said she thought there was one. If I go back, I'll search for that one. Loved the room. I took he option of paying an additional $5 per person on my hotel.com reservation for the buffet breakfast- very glad I did. It was an incredible value. A huge selection of different foods- not only breakfast items. Highly recommend.

Everything was Wonderful,staff was attentive and helpful. Rooms were very nice and the Bed was Super comfortable, very clean room...Great staff.

Booked two non-smoking connecting rooms in the "Luxury Tower". One room was substantially bigger than the other and had the full complement of features described on the website. The smaller room had most all the Luxury Tower features. The only feature it obviously lacked (besides the size) was the TV in the bathroom. Casino floor did not smell heavily of smoke. Service was good. Food prices at the hotel restaurants were reasonable. (A players card gets you 2-for-1 buffet Mon-Thur.) Breakfast buffet food quality was typical (nothing special). The oyster / sushi bar on the second floor (non-smoking floor that has many restaurants and a little bit of gambling) was pretty good. Wine at Bistro Napa was overpriced. The indoor pool is much smaller than appears in the photos. Not surprisingly, it was packed with kids (as it should be). Overall, a fine hotel for the price. My family stayed in 6th floor. During midnight, we smelled bad smoking smell. And my wife started coughing badly. We think it's very important to keep the smoke free area SMOKE FREE! Or it could be life threatening situation to people who have the need of good and fresh air. Thank you.

The staff are very helpful. Everytime we asked a staff about where things are (such as a particular restaurant), they do not just point to the direction you must take, they walk there with you! The room is clean, comfortable and we got a room with a great view for such an affordable price! THe hotel is newer and not as old and tired-looking as the others. We choose the Atlantis for it's location to our event. We were willing to pay a little more to be closer. When we booked our room, it seemed like a great deal, until... We arrived at the Atlantis and were told that we would be charged an additional $10 for spa fees. These fees to include, use of the outside valet parking service, use of the pool, wireless […] access as well as coffee in the room. It was not an optional fee but mandatory that we pay. At this point they had already charged my credit card and as you guessed we didn't have our swim suits, we parked our own car and didn't bring our laptop so we paid $10 for 2 cups of coffee that we could make in our room. When we checked out, not only was there the $10 spa fee, it too was taxed bringing the total to $11.30. For this fee, we could've taken a cab and went further from our evening event and saved approximately $40. We definitely won't do this again Leer más

The hotel is everything that they say it is. However, my room smelled so strongly of smoke...I woke up with a sore throat. To be fair, it seems like their ventilation system isn't working so well. I asked a few family members staying in other places and that just seems to be the way all rooms smell in Reno. In this casino, I felt trapped. It is very hard to judge where the elevator is, or where a restroom is. It is like you are caught up in a maze of mirrors. In addition, the ceiling is very low in some areas and overall there is no feeling of "openness." I would not stay here again, if I go to Reno. They tell you that if you get so many points on your […] comp card, then you get a free breakfast. But the number of points shown when you log in isn't the actual number of points that you have. I learned the hard way. Went to the buffet and handed the lady my card. She immediately told me to go to the players club desk and have them print a receipt. Walked over there and asked for the receipt to get my free breakfast. Surprise! Not enough points. No soup for you! I would not stay here again, if I go to Reno. I went to see a concert the night before. The "grand ballroom" is merely regular, padded chairs that are lined up in rows on a flat floor. No seats are numbered. The room is more or less a very large convention room, not an actual theater like some other casinos have. They did not have a good method for getting people in and out. One had to wait on a long line, maybe 700 people, to get in. A beer was about $4.50 or $4.75 outside of the "grand ballroom" at the rolling bars. I would not stay here again, if I go to Reno. Oh - one more thing - asked for a late checkout on Sunday morning and I got, "Well, we are not doing late checkouts today because we are pretty busy today." So there's service for ya. Room is nice and spacious was in good condition. The room temperature was a bit cold as I could not adjust the non-responsive thermostat to a warmer temperature. I probably could have called housekeeping, but I was a bit tire. However the comforter kept us warm. It was a nice hotel overall, but it was located about 5 miles from Reno downtown..

So I have nothing majorly bad to say about the Atlantis. The room (basic) was very comfortable, except that even though it was non smoking, I could still smell stale smoke smell in the air system. The bed was great and everything was clean. When it came time to check out, I did it through the TV online system. As I check out, the room bill said I was […] being billed an additional $11.30 as a resort fee....what???? I was never told anything about a resort fee when I checked in at the front desk nor do I remember ever reading anything about a resort fee. Overall good stay, however, the air conidtioner/heater vent is directed at a window valance. Very difficult to control temperature.

Great Hotel. Fabulous restaurants. Loved the Spa.
