superior service and breakfast. Hotel centrally located, most museums to reach by a short walk

Nice location, close to u-bahn. Clean and nice rooms with a big bathroom and large tub. Only bad thing was the hotel bar - slow service, sloppy and bad drinks. Had expected much more, local pub would have done a dry martini better.

Easy access with public transport, metro, walking distance to most tourist places. Service & price quality is good.

I am not sure is it 5 stars hotel? or less, small room and quality of bathroom should be check and everythings extra charged. The rest ok.

This is a great base for sight seeing, within easy walking distance of many of the fabulous attractions in Berlin. The hotel was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was excellent - a good selection of freshly-prepared hot and cold food. Only two minor gripes: - having to pay by the minute to use internet - surely there should […] be at least free Wifi in a business-orientated hotel in 2011; and - having a "charity donation" added to my bill and having to ask to have this taken off - perhaps they are relying on you being too embarrassed to ask! It's hardly a donation if you haven't consented to it being added. Hilton please review your practices on this. It would be better to put a box on reception where people could drop their spare cents before returning home! Leer más

This was, as expected, a great stay with a superb location close to many attractions in Berlin mitte. Service and comfort fantastic, however (!) WLAN service is charged quite high (10€ per hour). That's very annoying; I've just been in Kathmandu and the smallest hotels have complementary WLAN. Hilton should move on to 21st century!!

A perfect hotel for business or pleasure. Clean and extremely luxurious.

In a beautiful building at the center yet not to buisy berlin mitte. Geary rooms , breakfast and overall stay.

Great location and very nice room with good amenities. Only problem is they charge for internet a lot. h

The Berlin Hilton is in a central position for sight-seeing whilst giving an excellent comfortable base. The breakfast was superb, offering a wide selection of choices including full english by means of buffet.

Most arrangengements through concierge need to be pd in cash and cannot be billed to the room. Not a good thing when hotels are known not to give you the best rate.

For being a relatively new Hotel in the Mit section of Berlin. It captured the feeling of an old luxurious Grand Hotel. The service was 5 star. I highly recommend this Hotel.

Me and my fiance stayed at Hilton from monday the 9th, until tuesday the 11th. We got married tuesday the 10th, and we decided to treat ourselves with a stay in a really nice hotel. But this was not a very good experience for us. The room was clean (but very small), the breakfast was nice (but not extraordinary), the location is very good. Nothing wrong […] with that. But no friendliness, no gratulations, though we told several people at the hotel that we were getting married on tuesday. And when we asked for a late check out on wednesday, the day after the wedding, we felt that we were a burden to the staff. Yesterday, thursday, my husband called Hilton, because he had forgotten his neck tie at the room. They promised to call him back, but never did. I also felt that 12 euro for the sauna, when you actually stayed at the hotel, didn´t give us a feeling of a welcoming, five star hotel. I wrote an e-mail to Hilton hotel after our stay, but haven´t heard from them. Just not good enough for a five star hotel. Leer más

The room was very cluttered with desk etc but presumably this is mainly a business hotel? WiFi accesswas extremely expensive - other hotels either free or much cheaper.

Best German breakfast buffet in the country- Had made to order omlettes, German cheeses,breads,coffee, juices,yogart. fruits. On the most lovely square with multiple cafes and restaurants(1 dated to 1387 AD) within 1 block square. 2 blocks to U 6 Stadmitte. We were a party of four guys hanging out in Berlin for an extended weekend and the hotel was great, especially the late breakfast buffet. The only thing worth complaining on was the price for the sauna.

Love Berlin and made even better with this hotel. Perfect location, minutes walk from the from all the main attractions. Hotel in a very nice up market area. Lots of very nice wine, cocktail bars and fine dinning restaurants.

Berlin's only affordable city centre hotel that is 5 star, breakfast included, king size bed, on a tube line, offers guest collection services and has very good leisure facilities. All in all, the ideal location for a city break. In a lovely and very convenient area. Walking distance to all major areas or at worst, 2 U-Bhan stops, from all the major […] routes. Is 20 yards from the Stadmitte sub station exit (red line)! Located in the middle of the city's moist upmarket shopping region but a 7 minute walk from Check Point Charlie - worth an hours visit if you are not too familiar with the origins of the Berlin wall - it sets the tone for the city quite well. Breakfast was a superb array of food (fruits, cereals, breads, hot foods, teas, coffees etc). Rooms and all public areas were very well kept. Staff were always polite and efficient - almost all very good English speakers. Room service was timely and of good quality. We stayed 5 evenings but made 3 reservations as the 4th evening was not available on their current promotion (all the allocation had been taken up). So we paid that at the normal rate but booked other nights separately to get the better rate. On arrival they receptionist merged the bookings in 30 seconds without any questions - seamless (and affordable!). Only negative was the ridiculously loud audio from the in-room TV that was played through a speaker into the bathroom. Went for a long weekend and everything about it was fantastic! the atmosphere in the hotel is great, the breakfast buffet has everything you could possibly want, the location can't be better and the customer service was excellent. Best hotel I have stayed for a long time.

We stayed in the Hilton Berlin in February 2011. The hotel is a beautiful old building in the most beautiful square in the most beautiful area of Berlin. The lobby is very impressive, double storey with marble and polished wood everywhere. Everything was very clean and the staff were all well presented and cheerful. They were all very helpful and attentive. The […] room was very well appointed with contemporary decor. Our room was on the 5th floor (so it had a small balcony) overlooking the cathedral. The bathroom was also very nicely presented. The bar is located in the lobby but is quite expensive. The pool area is lovely, however please be aware that if you want to use the wellness area including sauna and steam room there is an additional charge of 12.50 Euro each (also be aware that this is a naturist area). Breakfast was served in the 1st floor restaurant overlooking the square and the cathedral so tables by the window are at a premium. There was plenty of selection, from cereals, yoghurt, pastries and fruit as well as the usual hot selection, which was restocked regularly so nothing was dried out or stale. We saw some people having the champagne breakfast which looked lovely, may have to try that next time when we weren't in such a rush. The location of the hotel is very good. Located in the beautiful Gendanmarkt district it is handily placed next to the Stadtmitte U bahn station. It is very handy as you are only 2 stops (5 mins) away from Alexanderplatz and Friedrichstrasse Railway stations and consequently very handy for the Airport Express train. You are also only 2 stops from PotsdammerPlatz and 10-15 minutes across town to the Kaiser Wilhelm church. The hotel is also only a 10 minute walk from the Brandenberg Gate. All in all I would definitely recommend anyone to stay in the Hilton Berlin and WILL be staying there next time we're in Berlin. Leer más

Hotel was in an excellent location. Felt the hotel was of 5 star quality. Get the breakfast its excelllent. Had a swim in the pool, its well located relative to the room. Service is top quality. All you need in one hotel.

This hotel is amazing! i cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff were helpful, the breakfast buffet was so well run (never really had to queue and the one day we had to wait five minutes we were given a free glass of champagne). The breakfast itself is gorgeous. The location of the hotel is ideal also..just near stadtmitte u station so well connected […] to everywhere. Its walking distance from all the main sightseeing spots anyway. Our room was gorgeous..lovely big bed and the room overlooked gendarmenmarkt. the room was so nice that it proved quite hard to leave it! definitely a great place to stay..would stay here again and i'll be looking at the hilton in every other location i go to in future. Excellent position in central Berlin. Easily reached by public transport - 200 meters from nearest underground. Hotel - standard city center hotel with the usual rectangular room. Probably a little expensive as breakfast not included. Would definitely recommend

A very excellently located hotel that seems more 4-star than 5-star. But then we've stayed there twice - a week each time. The big disappointment this time was the phenomenal cost of almost everything in the hotel. I expect high mark-ups but these were mind-boggling. Using the hotel telephone - even on toll-free lines while trying to rebook a cancelled […] flight ran up hundreds of dollars in phone charges. And the daily internet fees were the highest I have ever encountered anywhere. But then the fitness center was free. Go figure. The rooms are very clean and one of ours was renovated so relatively nice. Not 5-star nice but nice just the same. The staff is friendly and generally helpful. Not the level of helpful I would get at a Ritz or Four Seasons but helpful. Mostly, the location is just perfect. Leer más

Hotels in Europe are usually small, old and not up to American standards. The Berlin Hotel is a true 5 star hotel at a 5 star location.

A great hotel! The location, only a kilometre from the brandenburg gate and with a U-bahn station right outside couldn't be much better. The staff were friendly and very helpful allowing us to use the health centre to shower after the marathon even though we had already checked out.

We booked an Executive Room which was on the 6th floor. Room was beautiful. However directly above it is a Private Club which holds private functions and which is apparently outside the control of the hotel On our first night we were disturbed and kept awake by noise coming from there which sounded as though furniture was being moved around. We […] requested and were moved to another room on the same floor next morning. The alternative room was fine - very quiet. Also, although Trader Vic's Restaurant is advertised on the website and also in the hotel lifts, we were told that it has been closed for 2 years. The main restaurant was excellent , however, and there is also a very good self-service cafe in the hotel which is open for lunches. All the staff were fantastic. I was on my stag and all we wanted was a good base with breakfast and a pool to knock the cobwebs out in the morning. This hotel delivered everything and the staff where always more than helpful given we where a stag in a nice hotel.

I stayed in this hotel for a night in July and was surprised at the price for a 5-star hotel. The pool was small but gorgeous, and the fitness room was nice too. The spa was really well taken care of and offered a lot of different services (expensive, nonetheless). The hotel lobby was great as well. However, the room was pretty small and the shower […] not impressive. We were told we would get a shower/tub combination and only received a shower. The decor seemed a bit outdated, and wasn't very romantic or stylish considering the Hilton's reputation. The hotel is located around a lot of shops, and directly across the street from a beautiful church. The money was worth it for the pool, but if you want a big, beautiful room, look elsewhere. The hotel is excellent. I wish the cost of breakfast was not so high (25 Euros approx. $32 US). But it was a delicious all-you-can-eat buffet style. The problem is; if you want an early breakfast in Berlin, you don't have much of a choice as most restaurants in town don't open until 9am. As a result, they've sort of "got you".

Excellent hotel with good service. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The position is great, easy access to many of the major sights, the open top bus tours and the underground. Berlin is a fascinating and beautiful city.

Great location. Great hotel, impressive reception area. We enjoyed the pool eventhough it was not warm. We got a good rate including breakfast as we booked early and stayed 4 nights

We stayed over a busy Easter bank holiday arrriving late at night to find there were no queen non-smoking rooms left and were given a king smoking room instead. Otherwise our stay was very good and the hotel coped well with a very busy breakfast time.

Had a blissful stay in hilton berlin. Friendly staff, great service and wonderful buffet breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

The location of this hotel is excellent cud not beleive checkpoint charlie five mins away Reichstag ten mins away that walking. The hotel staff were very friendly but do remember to put do not disturb on door as the cleaner will make several attacks on your door from eight o clock on other wise. Shopping in the area is fine but if you r looking for anice pub to unwind and relax in late at nite forget it you have to travel elsewere and that is a pain as you r on the go all day and r exhausted.
