Hollywood Roosevelt

Muy bien situado para visitar Hollywood y Los Ángeles. Histórico y con encanto. Problemas de mantenimiento (aire acondicionado ruidoso, ascesor que no funciona... ) y atención al cliente muy pobre para un hotel de su categoría.

Excelente ubicación, adicionalmente tiene muy buenas instalaciones; la zona de la piscina es muy agradable

Me parece que tienen las instalaciones muy descuidadas, sobre todo las habitaciones y baños.

I love this hotel I come here all the time even just for dinner or drinks. The spare room is a ton of fun. They have great mixologists at each bar.

It is a very nice hotel in an excellent location. However the room is very small and any extra is overpriced (parking, mini bar, etc.)

OK, so this is definitely like a mid-range NYC room (think Hudson Hotel) in the heart of Hollywood. The location is impossible to beat but the hotel rests on its laurels a bit as a result. Rumor has it that there is new management and you should expect great things to come!

Great location, clean room and comfortable. Service was average - 1 hour to get a coffeee from room service - and the elevators broke down 2 days out of the 3 we were there. I was in Hollywood for the taping of the Survivor Finale. The Hollywood Roosevelt was better than I could imagine. Fantastic staff - front desk, valet, room service etc. The rooms were a bit tiny but were great and this hotel is the best location for the LA tourist. Walking Hollywood Blvd, the Roosevelt has the hottest nightlife and clubs right in its […] hotel. We were close to CBS studios and just a short drive to The Grove. As we are all aware this is a popular hotel in a busy and popular area but I still felt that the rooms were overpriced for what the size of the room is , very small , uncomfortable, and you can hear everything in the next room. As far as the customer service aspect of the stay , it was not what I expected , I drove in from san diego and forgot my credit […] cards but the room was paid for , so I informed the front staff and manager that I had no cards and only a little cash on me , they simply just said we can't help you even tho the room was paid for and I had my drivers license on me, long story short I was able to call a friend to help me out to put his card on file , but if that wouldnt of happened I feel that I would of ended up sleeping in my car. Loved it. Everything about hotel was terrific. Highly recommend this to anybody.

I had a good experience with the staff; however, upon checking in, the room was not clean. Linens were clean but the bathroom had hair all over the floor and in the sink, as well as a piece of actual trash on the shower floor. It was not my first stay at the Roosevelt and each time I have similar experiences... I don't think the housekeeping staff is […] very thorough. For that reason, I would not recommend this property. The rooms and bathrooms are very small and kind of dark / dingy. The rest of the property is great though and I really love the location. Parking at $35 is also really too high considering you have to wait 20 minutes @ valet for your car even when there isn't anyone else in line. Leer más

Amazing hotel. We wanted something special for our last night in the US - this hotel fits the bill. It has history, location, facilities+ and a great staff.

The history of the hotel and its excellent location made me decide to try it. I was well aware that this was an older hotel and therefore the rooms would be on the small side. This turned out to be the case, however the size of the room as not that big a deal. For the rate that we paid, however, this was not a good deal. I often wonder if hotels place […] guests who purchase through hotels.com in their less desirable rooms. Whether intentional or not, this hotel placed us in an awful room. The wall of the room was shared by the elevator shaft. Being an older hotel the elevator made a tremendous noise every time it went by, which was pretty much all night long. Additionally, the furniture in the room was showing signs of wear. The chair had cracking and peeling of the upholstery and looked old. The mirror in the bathroom had paint peeling off the back of it making it look tired. The rooms around the pool of the hotel may be a better choice but those were much more expensive. For the price I believe there are much better hotels in the area. We previously stayed in one just around the corner and that is what I will return to if I am in Hollywood again. Leer más

Historic classic hotel with a central location. comfortable, great pool, all round very nice hotel.

If you want to get woken up in the middle of the night, this is the place for you! There was a fight in the hallway all three nights I was there, all between 3 and 4 am. If you want a loud party hotel, come on by. Otherwise, go somewhere else.

Very nice hotel. Classic stylying. I found it very DARK and almost gothic-like. Old is not always bad as in this case. Service was very helpful. Everyone, from the front desk to the valet parking attendant, was cordial and friendly.

the location, cleanliness and comfort were all great. However we had a leaking sink - which was never fixed correctly and we also got charged for 2 things from our mini bar which we NEVER actually had. Unfortunately we werecharged after we checked out and left the country :(

Comfortable bed. Small shower. Polite staff. Hotel caters to Hollywood partygoers rather than to the guests. That's OK if that's what you're looking for. But if you feel like you ought to be able to get a drink in the bar when you're staying at the hotel, then you should stay somewhere else.

I had read several reviews about the Roosevelt, but I was very happy to have stayed at the hotel. I'm extremely finicky and although the hotel room (a lovely corner suite) had need for updating (furniture was a little banged up), I really liked it. The front desk staff was very helpful and took their time to answer all of my questions. There is an […] expectation that this property will have some louder parties, but at 2am when I called to complain that there was an apparent rave in the room above mine, security shut it down in 15 minutes. I would totally stay here again. You do have to understand that this is an older property and even with huge rooms, the closet space is very small -- bathrooms are smaller than you would find in a newer hotel and furniture is a little worse for wear at times. And being on Hollywood Blvd. is like staying on Times Square...noisy, bright, and when they're filming movies as they were during my stay, the heavy curtains in the room are very welcome. Room airconditioning was stuck on full power, they had to turn the power off on the unit leaving us with a stuffy room or freezing room. Service was excellent from the time of arrival. We received an upgraded room without asking and late check out. The hotel was very close to the event we were attending. Saw a few Hollywood figures along the way. Great place to stay.

Hotel Roosevelt has a good location for seeing various of the must see downtown sights but the hotel is dark & gloomy, room was tiny, bathroom was a closet & the staff weren't particularly helpful. I switched to another hotel after a couple of days. Don't bother.

Clean tidy hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Convienent location...close to the Kodak Theatre and Hard Rock Cafe

Overall the hotel was nice, but Justin at the Concierge was useless. Didn't seem like he wanted to help at all and he recommended one of the worst restaurants. The club he sent us to said he never put our name on list (which he said he did) and the coupons that he gave us they wouldn't accept.

If you want to see Hollywood, this hotel is ideally situated -- walking distance to just about everything. My only complaint is the noise. We had asked for a quiet room but apparently there aren't any on a Saturday night. There are several clubs off the lobby and and even on the 8th floor, the noise was bothersome.

I was upgraded to a Cabana Room that was on the second floor overlooking the pool. The bar at the pool was having a party/cocktail hour when I arrived (10pm) and had music playing and people enjoying themselves. I loved that I could open the sliding door and enjoy the ambiance and music while me and my friends got dressed to go out. The hardwood floors […] was also a great aspect to the room! We loved this hotel. The library bar has a great bartender that creates his own drinks. The poolside bar was also great. I would recommend that they have maps of the hotel made up for guests, because we got lost a couple of times. If you want a hotel with some history, this is a great one.

The first Academy Awards were held at the Hollywood Roosevelt. It has been beautifully restored. Locals frequent the pool bar and restaurants. Right in the middle of many Hollywood Landmarks. This was my first trip to Los Angeles. I'll definately stay at the Roosevelt next time!!

Loved my experience at the Hotel Roosevelt! I stayed 5 nights in a queen room on the 11th floor. Everyone was super nice, from the bell boys to the concierge and the helpful reception desk. Check in was a breeze and the girls on reception that night were extremely courteous and friendly, just what i needed after a long flight - all I wanted was my room […] and sleep. I had read comments before from people saying the hotel received a lot of noise from the nightclub in the building, so upon booking my room I requested a room above the 5th level. I was in a room on level 11, for my whole duration I never heard any street noise. Room: my room was lush - beds super comfy and heaven to sleep on; rooms very clean and chic; bathroom was a little small - HOWEVER, I thought it was perfect for what you do in a bathroom; maid service is great and I always came back to a super fresh smelling room; Mini bar and in room snacks had a great variety and I believe were very well priced, unliked other hotels I have stayed in. Hotel: soooooo cool! was even more cool to catch a glipse of a few celebs moving through the lobby. The restaurants and bars within the hotel are awesome, and it is definitely worth dropping by for a cocktail from one the friendly mixologists! The Restaurant 25degrees is a great place for breakfast, I ate their every morning of my stay - so worth it, inexpensive and quick service. I didn’t check out the pool area, was too cold to be hanging poolside. Overall: The hotel roosevelt has a great vibe to it, a rich heritage and Über Coolness of the furnishings from the room to the common areas in the hotel! Love the Roosevelt! Our 2nd stay, and again, bummer, weather not cooperating for any time at the beauty pool. Great convenient location in the heart of it all. Feel a part of Hollywood history and, aside from LA traffic, super easy to get to, and to get to anywhere from the hotel. This time, an even nicer room. If you want to stay in a touristy area, this place will be fine, we should have known better because I felt like I was staying in SF's Fisherman's Wharf. The rooms were nice and updated. The Library Bar was pretty awesome and made great cocktails. We tried to go to the club upstairs (forgetting the name), however it was closed for some "private" event […] - in reality I think they were just trying to make it look exclusive and unfortunately we could tell. they did a great job of preserving the history of this beautiful building, but their decor lacks sound-absorbing elements and every part of this facility is very echoe-ie and noisy. The smallest midnight maintenance activity is heard in the room, and you will not be able to hold a conversation across the table in the restaurant. Wonderful customer service, no matter what went wrong, (someone elses underwear in our room ) they took care of it.

In LA, you MUST have a car. But at this hotel, not necessary! Right across from Graumanns and a mall; fantastic restaurants and night clubs right there inside the hotel. Had a blast and never drive my car for 48 hours. Impressive feat to be done in LA!

The Roosevelt is a pricey hotel by my standards but it's quality is low. I'm sure in "it's day" it was elegant but they have done little to keep up it's standards. It's located right in the heart of the action of Hollywood but the rooms are run down, dark and very expensive, for what you get. Very nice hotel. Great party clientele Sat. night. A few small problems in the room (scratches on floor & furniture, carpet rolling up on one corner, etc.) keep it from being a 5 star hotel. Great place to "experience" Hollywood from.

Our stay at the Roosevelt Hotel was very disappointing. We chose this so called iconic hotel because of write ups in guide books and its location on Hollywood Boulevard (the only recommendable factor). We found the air conditioning extremely noisy, even when turned off. You can clearly hear air conditioning noise from other bedrooms when your sytem […] is off. The staff were not rude but not very helpful. Surly is the best description. We were very aware of noise from neighbouring bedrooms and had to call Security one night about the party in the bedroom next to ours which went onto 3 in the morning.The hotel decor is very dark and the chipped and scratched bedroom furniture needs to be looked at. The service of the bar and restaurant attendants is leaves much to be desired! The location of the hotel is great if you are doing the tourist thing. Hotel is old, and although the rooms have been updated, they are still "old" and not very plush!
