The Fairmont Washington D.C.

This is about the 4th time I have stayed at the Fairmont in D.C. Each time has been a delight. The staff are exceptionally friendly, helpful and pleasant. Jason, the Chef, puts together an amazing meal and is a nice fellow as well. I will return.

This hotel was great. The only problem I encountered was that I called the day before to make sure I would get a room with 2 beds. They said it was no problem but then I had to check in late and they gave our room away. We had to use a cot the first night until they could switch us the next day. Stayed 3 nights at the Fairmont in D.C. and had a great experience. The hotel is beautiful and clean and top of the line. It was decorated for Christmas and was lovely. Wonderful hotel and staff...The room was huge and the lobby/bar beautiful. You must try the honey cocktails that are made from the hotels own honey (rooftop hives)

We made a reservation at another hotel over 2 months ago. I received a confirmation email from that hotel about 2 weeks prior to our DC trip. I looked the hotel up on the internet and found they had a problem with bed bugs. We did research on other area hotels and found the Fairmont through Hotels.com The hotel was VERY clean. Perfect weekend. Staff was the most attentive that I've ever experienced. Room was very cozy and well appointed. Didn't want to leave. Can't wait to go back.

Was amazed at the space in the corner rooms. Definitely should request a corner room. The decor and hotel in general was very nice. I had never stayed here before but will definitely book here again as it gives me the feeling of luxury at a reasonable price!

...superior service, above and beyond the usual, concierge going out of his way to accomodate even the strangest requests we had, beautiful garden, delicious food. What can I say, it's a Fairmont :)

great location, walkable to georgetown and metro, very nice rooms. lobby and pool area a little tired, but overall a very nice hotel

Liked everything about this hotel except breakfast. No omelet station at the buffet. As a result, all side items got cold as we waited for the waitress to place our order and deliver our omelet. On top of this, when my wife asked for one egg scrambled hard, she was told there were scrambled eggs on the table and the kitchen wouldn't make one egg. imagine, […] for $28, this is too much to ask! This hotel is comfrtable yet elegant. The room was very comfortable and the staff couldn't do enough for you. I would stay there anytime. Also ate inthe Juniper resturant. Food and service were excellant

a wonderful experience. I wish I had more time to enjoy the hotel. we arrived a bit late and left fairly early. the only complaint was that the air conditioning keep cycling on and off and was louder than I would have liked. great hotel though and a great location

I travel often to DC for business and have stayed in over a dozen hotels in the DC area, and recommend this hotel. It is close to many great restaurants and walking distance to all the shops in Georgetown which is convenient. Also within walking distance to the metro. this hotel would be compared to a Ritz Carleton. Beautiful, comfortable, busy lobby area with living room set ups perfect for relaxing with a night cap or reading the morning paper. The hotel is situated in a very clean, safe area about 4 blocks to the hub of Georgetown and action.

Classic hotel with wonderful service. Very friendly staff, large well appointed rooms. About 4 blocks to Metro. Would stay there again at Hotel.com rates.

This hotel was excellent. Oscar & Liv at the restaurant were just delightful! I came down with a cold during my stay and the staff took great care of me - brought me extra tissues, and room service was very prompt and courteous. Linda at the front desk was ever accommodating, and my stay couldn't have been better. The staff was friendly, courteous, […] helpful and overall excellent. Hotel was clean and comfortable, and the massages in the spa were excellent - I definitely recommend the Greek Masseuse - he was awesome! I stay at the DC Fairmont once each year around the holiday season. It is always a good experience. The staff is helpful and the rooms are comfortable. I did sense a bit of a decline in the "luxury" of the hotel this year. Two of the lamps in my room didn't quite work and there was a problem with the bathroom plug. It doesn't seem as if maintenance […] is quite up to speed. The hotel was, however, very responsive when notified of the problems. The hotel is in a good neighborhood that's convenient to Georgetown, Dupont Circle and not too far from the metro. I do find that I'm able to get a better rate on hotels.com than through the hotel. All in all a good place to stay that I will continue to visit. Leer más

Our stay was perfect. The hotel staff was wonderful and provided lots of information about the neighborhood, events, etc. The Christmas decor was also beautiful.

The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holiday. Check-in was flawless ( we requested early check-in) Our room was next to the elevator ( was this because we had a discounted rate?). The room was cold. We called for a thremostat adjustment. Then called again. While we were out for the evening, it was fixed, though. I requested a memory foam pillow […] (allergies). It never appeared. The hotel staff could should be more efficient and responsive to equal the hotel's star rating. Parking was $40/ day! Leer más

Stayed on Thanksgiving night. The room had everything I would expect, from flat screen tv, large comfortable sofa chair, desk, coffee maker, GREAT minibar products, etc... The front desk service was also professional. I didn't get the chance to use the lobby or the gym but it looked great. The only problem was the noise that would come from people loudly […] speaking and walking by in the hallway, which was surprising considering the fact the doors were solid and the room as well. The Fairmont Hotel in Washington, DC is everything I was looking for. Unlike so many of the large hotels that cater to conventions, this is a smaller property with many great details and attentive staff. Front desk was very helpful and service oriented at check in. Join the Fairmont Presidents Club to get free internet. Parking was a hefty $40 overnight. Great location and walking distance to DuPont Circle and Georgetown. I would stay there again.

Could not have asked for a beeter priced hotel with such quality amenites. On top of all that close to all the Glenn Beck's Restoring Honor Rally and all the attractions. When I return in the futre will saty ther again!

Service was excellent. Staff was pleasant. Nice selection of beverages and snacks in the room. Water pressure in the shower nailed you against the wall!!! The room was clean and quiet. Centrally locate. Easy walk to Georgtown. Highly recommended.

We stayed at The Fairmont 8/27 & 8/28. The room was decorated like a first class luxury resort. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We were close to Georgetown restaurants and not far from the DC sights. We would definitely stay here again.

From the moment I arrived I was greeted with a highly professional and attentive staff. These people were very friendly, I got the impression they all loved their jobs. The room was very clean and comfortable, plenty of room in the bath, a kingsize bed and wifi (for a nominal fee). For a first time staying at a hotel of this caliber I was expecting […] things to cost a bit more then what I ended up paying. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't cheap but it was a bit less then what I had prepared myself for, well except for the mini bar which I stayed away from anyway. Parking was expensive though maybe not for DC, but I was made aware of the cost while booking the room so I was prepared for it. I stayed for two days and then I was kind of dissapointed that I had to check out. I walked to the Lincoln memorial as well as to several very nice eateries within one or two blocks of the hotel. I didn't use a cab once although I've noticed there was always one available right outside the door. In closing I just want to repeat how friendly the entire staff was during my visit. Leer más

The hotel was everything that I wanted or needed. It was elegant , clean and have large rooms. We had a car and it was easy to get your vehicle and leave the hotel. The Metro stop is several blocks away so having a car was much more convenient for me. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone going to Washington.

Beautiful hotel. Convenient location. Not super close to monuments and such, but neighborhood and being very close to Georgetown makes up for that. Close to good food, (if you like burgers the Guards is a must), as well as trendy shopping. Fifteen minutes or less to all monuments and attractions via car/ cab. We had a great time at the hotel. The location was great. We were able to walk to the Kennedy Center for a performance. They also have a great French restaurant close by. We were a bit surprised at the cost of the overnight parking at the hotel. But the hotel itself was clean and comfortable.
