Eurostars Maimonides Hotel - Córdoba 37.87927, -4.78047

The hotel was in an excellent location right in front of the Mezquita. The only complaints I had were the water temperature in the shower would suddenly go from hot to cold and the ground is not carpeted so we could hear everything happening in the hallway. However it was perfect for a 1 night stay since the location was ideal. The staff was also very nice.

Hotel is directly across from the Mezquita which is great in the dead of Summer when the heat is a little overwhelming. However, the staff was less than helpful and the accomodations left something to be desired.

We loved this hotel- beautiful lobby, amazing location right next to the Mesquita. Hard to find, and very difficult to find parking, but once you are there it's great. Lots of good restaurants nearby.

The hotel was average, but lacked character. Staff were not extremely friendly, but not outright rude. Amazing location, directly across from the Mezquite.

Hotel location was great- literally across the streat from the main attraction. Lobby and walk up were very nice, but the room itself was a little outdated.

First, about me - so you know where I'm coming from. I'm in my late 20's, willing to pay a little more for a clean room in a good location, and when all is said and done I only plan on being at my hotel to sleep. As long as a hotel is in decent proximity to things, has friendly staff and clean rooms, then I'm easily pleased. This hotel did all of those things well. The rooms were really nice, clean, and the shower was the best of the 4 hotels I staid at in Spain. When the description of the hotel says "directly across the street from the Mosque" they mean literally across the street from the Masque (the main attraction of Cordoba). From the window of my third story hotel room I could almost reach out and touch the perimeter wall of the church - no joke, it was amazing. A great location. We had a rental car and the hotel offered parking (12 Euro), which was nice. As a side note about rental cars - if you get one, be sure to get the Navigation. I don't know what we would have done without it! Cordoba was a great city, though we were only there for a short stay, one night. The hotel was much nicer than my expectations. The staff was mostly friendly and helpful. No breakfast was included, as we were only staying a night. I think stays of 3 nights or more included free breakfast. For a great breakfast at a good price go just west of the hotel to calle Cairuan and there is a place with tables near fountains with the best orange juice in all of Spain. Overall, I would definitely return to this hotel.

Lovely hotel, right next to the Mezquita.

The hotel location is excellent. The room was very small. It was necesary to move the luggage to walk around the room. There was only 1 desk chair in the room. The shower did not work. This was an unfortunate surprise in the morning. The breakfast restaurant staff was unfriendly even though we entered the breakfast area 15 minutes before closing. The staff began clearing the breakfast area before we were finished eating. the breakfast cost was high but the quality was only average or less.

The location is excellent. You cannot get any closer to the Cordoba Mosque Cathederal. There are a number of tapas bars near to the hotel which are very good. The hotel reception staff was helpful. The hotel room was very small. It was difficult to walk around the room without moving luggage. The TV was an older model but worked OK. There was only 1 desk chair to sit in. The biggest fault was that the shower did not work, which was an unfortunate surprise in the morning. Breakfast was overpriced and we were rushed by the dinning room staff to finish eating. The staff began clearing the breakfast buffet before we were finished. One of the 2 people on the breakfast staff was unfriendly.

The hotel was an average property with a very good location for touring on foot. It is very hard to find and parking was somewhat of a challenge. Do not count on MapQuest... you will have to find local directions. Overall we enjoyed the hotel.

great location. right next door to the mezquita. parking available for a fee..but worth it..you don't need to waste time looking for parking

The hotel is very difficult to find with a car, my advice would be to park somewhere and find the hotel on foot. Once there it is a nice older local hotel in a great location to see the old section of the city.

The location was perfect. We could almost touch the Mesquite from our bedroom window.

The hotel is located right in front of the Alhambra, and within walking distance of the Royal Alcazar and plenty of restaurants and tapas bars. The hotel itself has very nice interiors, even though rooms are a bit austere. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is not included. Parking is available at surcharge, but well worth it considering that the closest public parking structures (which can be quite expensive for overnight stays) are a bit far away.

Smashing hotel literally in the centre of the old part of Cordoba - you do indeed fall out of the front door and into the Mizquita. Room was compact but comfortable, very clean, well air-conditioned (which believe me was necessary), and had a good outlook onto the mosque. I found it very very difficult to get to by car on arrival but once we knew the way it seemed quite easy. Parking was available but the actual hotel garage was full so we were diverted to a garage some 500 yards away which was a bit of a pain and still cost the same as parking underneath the hotel. It doesn't come cheap - about £10 a night but on reflection I think it is essential. Most sights, and good eating places are within easy walking distance so the Maimonides was a great base for our two days in Cordoba - we would definately use it again and recommend to others.

just came back from a cruise/spain trip over 4 weeks (june 08) - stayed on 8 hotels + cruise ship. almost all of the hotels don't have room clocks, many didn't have washcloths, and virtually all don't have ice machines (some will get you ice, some won't, some will charge), most or all hotels had 2 twins (most my wife and i had to stick together ourselves), many offer internet somehow, but most charge. in this case, wifi was free in the lobby. walked from the train statin to hotel - got a map at the train station tourist center (really nice train station). streets/sidewalks are cobblestone or brick, so walking was a mistake for those will roller bags (i have a backpack). maybe a mile. took a cab back to train station - hack stand just down the street from the hotel. in short, easy to get to - very accessible from trains. lobby was really nice - spacious, beautiful mudejar (is that right?) decor on walls and ceiling, large, lots of sitting room, beautiful courtyard, adjoining cafe and restaurant. great "curb appeal". best lobby of all the older hotels we stayed at. rooms were very attractive, white marble floors throughout (a negative if you drop crumbs on the floor and walk barefoot like me), rooms were very bright and airy with size. our room was over an interior "courtyard" with stained glass on the other side - my room was very quiet, but my nephew said his was noisy (outside partiers, not hotel noise). had a small balcony, but no view other than the stained glass. wide bright hallways. best hotel pens, ever. drop dead killer location. right across the street from the mezquita, steps from a fine restaurant (caballo rojo), walking distance (1/4 mile or less but be prepared to get lost) from zillions of touristy stuff (shops, restaurants, bars, patios, tilework, leatherwork etc). overall, best value of all the places we stayed perhaps by a long shot.

Excellent hotel about as central as you can get. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well equipped and very quiet due to the excellent double glazing - however if you want to here the sounds of Cordoba - just open the windows! Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

Très difficile à trouver pour quelqu'un qui ne connait pas Cordoue, même avec un GPS...Bien situé par rapport à la vieille ville. Cher pour un trois étoiles. Beau loby, chambres fonctionnelles, couloirs bruyants froides

L'hôtel est placé à côté de la cathédrale, il situé dans le centre touristique.

Albergo molto buono, in posizione che più strategica non si può. E' letteralmente di fronte alla Mezquita, quindi nel centro più centro di Cordoba. Camera e bagno molto spaziosi ed accoglienti. Personale gentile. Consigliato.

The hotel has a great location (with parking car of $12,00 euro/day in 2008) and is in front of Mosquita (which has free entrance each morning till 10:00!)
