TRYP Madrid Ambassador Hotel

El acudir a este hotel, fue por la oferta ofrecida por el Hotel mismo, a la llegada tuve que pagar un complemento superior por la habitación. No es recomendable!!

Me parece un hotel clásico, antiguo, pero las habitaciones estan muy correctas y amplias. El servicio en general muy amable. Lo recomiendo. En próximas visitas a Madrid volveré.

Las habitaciones no son muy moderrnas pero sí confortables. El servicio es muy amable y eficiente. Desayuno bufet variado y de buena calidad. Situación ideal para desplazarse a pie por el centro y con diversas estaciones de metro alrededor.

Nosotros hemos estado este puente pasado de diciembre en este hotel y deja mucho que desear. Lo mejor que tiene es la ubicación, ya que está al lado de la Gran Vía. En relación al mantenimiento del hotel destacar que brilla por su ausencia. En un par de ocasiones no funcionaba el ascensor, la habitación tenía fisuras y falta de pintura, la puerta del […] cuarto de baño estaba despintada y toda hinchada a causa de la humedad, las sábanas y las toallas no olian muy bien, los ruidos durante la noche eran continuos, sobre todo los portazos, ruidos en otras habitaciones, ruidos de los carros de la limpieza, voces en los pasillos etcc..En los alrededores es dificil aparcar. Tuvimos que dejar el coche en un parking que hay junto al hotel. Fue un abuso, nos cobraron 69 euros por dos días y 17 horas, ya con un supuesto descuento aplicado del hotel..Vamos una pasada y un abuso. El elevado precio por noche no se corresponde con las habitaciones y el estado de ellas. RECALCAR QUE NO RECOMIENDO ESTE HOTEL Y DEJA MUCHO QUE DESEAR PARA SER UN HOTEL DE CUATRO ESTRELLAS. Leer más

Quiero destacar además de la amabilidad y calidez del personal de hotel, que este se encuentra en el centro de Madrid en una zona tranquila, muy bien comunicada para acceder a cualquier lugar de interés. Ademas en los alrededores existe una oferta gastronómica variada y de calidad excelente.

Esta cerca de la zona de compras (preciados) de la puerta del sol, plaza de españa, Austrias... La calle apenas tiene trafico, por lo que no hay problema a la hora de dormir. Quizas un poco viejo para ser 4 estrellas.

Lo mejor la localización aunque convendría que tuvieran un poco mas de atención al mantenimiento de las habitaciones, a veces los pequeños detalles son los que que inclinan la balanza.

Este Hotel me encanto tanto a mi como a mi esposo sobre por la limpieza, atencion del personal, su hubicacion a todos los lugares de interese, verdaderamente lo recomoniendo espero que muy pronto regrese a Madrid y sin dudarlo nos volveremos a hospedar en ese hotel.

My second stay in this hotel in the past few months. Conveniently located, a short walk from the centre and good public transport. I arrived into my room and there was a bad odour which seemed to come from the drains. I advise reception and they immediately proposed a change of room and had their maintenance check out the problem. I accepted the offer […] of a change of room which was fresh and well aired. It was an amazing dream trip to Spain and was even lovelier with the marvelous services of TRYP Madrid Ambassador Hotel ... the staff was so friendly and professional and they offered as welcoming amenities and free breakfast on the first morning and they upgraded our room for free when they knew it was our honeymoon trip ... and everything else was […] just great ... I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Very comfortable, friendly staff and very good location near to all the major attractions in Madrid.

The high level of noise is mostly coming from inside the hotel...cleaning, moving furniture etc...

This hotel is in a great location. Convenient to take the Metro from the airport to the hotel. Walking distance to everything. Only drawback...noisy in the room in the morning. Heard lots of slamming doors and other noises in the hallways.

Good hotel, the area was OK but a little edgy, close to centre of Madrid, staff were OK but not very helpful, didn't offer to help with bags etc. Also not very helpful when asked about trains out of Madrid

This hotel was the best hotel of my Europe trip this time!Great staff,especially the woman who speak English and work late night.She is very friendly,gave us great advice. Hotel is very convenient to major sites in the old town center and Plaza Mayor. Hotel was well appointed. Would recommend this hotel. Staff very professional and helpful.

Second time staying in this hotel - excellent. Very clean, excellent location close to all central sights and very polite and attentive staff. Plan to use this hotel on future trips to Madrid.

Very close to central area, helpful staff, clean room

The room was quite nice, but the airconditioner woke me out of a sound sleep whenever it kicked on. The staff was friendly and polite. The hotel is on a steep hill, which may be problamatic for some. The location is very good, a short walk to the center and about a 30-minute easy walk across town to the Prado museum. The hotel is very elegant and in a great location. Just a few minute walk to the Royal Palace and all of the busy streets. The hotel is actually on a quiet street and is great for peaceful sleeping, except for the two beds pushed together for a "double".

This is an oldish hotel in a great location. Unfortunately that is where the good stops. The room I was in stunk and was noisey. The bed had no matresss cover and one stuck to the matress. The air conditioning sounded like a 747, cycling on and off. Oh yes the internet was weak and did not work in the room. Great Location. Size of the room is reasonable for European standards (old building) and a decent breakfast. You might have problems with the acustic isolation and hear people in the room next door.

The room and hotel was very clean. The beds were comfortable and had nice linens. The room itself was very specious and modern. Great location to sites. Wireless internet was very fast. All in all the hotel experience was great. Except for the female receptionist was very rude and unhelpful.

Excellant location, for the Metro, with surrounding sights, sounds or just people watch, close by. Hotel bathroom looked a little tired, paint wise, but very spacious as well as the room. Staff was very helpful and the breakfast was great!

We could not control room temp.

My husband and I had an overnight layover in Madrid on our way home from a weeklong stay in Italy. We needed something easily accessible by public transportation, within walking distance of food and main attractions, yet comfortable before a long trip home. This hotel fullfilled our needs beautifully. We couldn't have asked for a better locale, tons […] of pedestrian traffic and tons of tapas. San Miguel Market, Plaza Mayor about 16 gorgeous churches and not enough time to do it all. We got just a small taste of Spain, and are hungry for more. When we return, I'd like to stay at the Tryp ammbassador again. This hotel is on a tiny street close to many tourist attractions. When you walk in it smells beautiful and the rooms are really nice. It is a great hotel and I would stay here again.

Good room and professional staff making it a good base for exploring the city. Free WiFi being a definite bonus as was the air conditioning. Avoid breakfast; it is very expensive for such basic offerings and of such low quality - cold baked beans and poor coffee being the particular highlights. Nice old fashion hotel with very good breakfast. The Wi-Fi comes and goes, the beds are extra firm. Ask twice about the prices at the bar, some items are not updated.
