Parc Fifty Five Hotel - Union Square - San Francisco 37.78458, -122.40854

The neighborhood is frequented by numerous homeless people. However, once you make it into the hotel, its very nice. This hotel was remodeled a while ago and it was nicely done. Convenient location for shopping, transportation via BART and Muni and access to Union Square.

No complaints about my actual room. In the morning, there was an annoying beeping sound coming from the electrical closet directly across the hall from my room. I called the front desk and informed the maid who happened to be in the hall at the time I checked it out. Both told me they would inform maintenance about the noise and take care of it. 2.5 hours later, I called the front desk again because the noise was still going strong. Only then did someone come. In a four star hotel, if a customer calls complaining of a noise coming from the other side of a door marked "electrical closet" and this noise is disrupting the experience of their stay, it should be taken care of as soon as possible.

We recently stayed here for a concert. We could not have been more satisfied. The staff was attentive and our newly renovated room was very nice. It was a little small but with union square just up the street we didn't spend much time in the room. We would definitely come back!

Parc 55 is located right outside the Powell Street station in the heart of downtown SF - a fantastic location for someone who likes to peruse the city by foot and public transporation, as I do. Ridiculously convenient to all necessities, including late night eateries (lots of great Thai places open late in the area), drug stores open til midnight, and all the shopping you desire. This was my first stay at Parc 55, and I was thrilled with my room and quality of front desk service. The lobby is gorgeous; my room was very modern and very clean - not a single stray hair from any former guests (as a bit of a germophobe, I always look for that). I could see the sunrise from my corner room on the 13th floor; I imagine that the view is even better on a higher floor, but unfortunately none were available when I checked in. Still, the room was beautiful, updated, and well-kept. The housekeeping staff does a great job keeping it that way every day (we were there for 6 days). Front desk staff was very pleasant and accomodating - especially the wonderful lady who helped me with check out at noon on 12/3 - exceedingly pleasant! As someone who makes regular trips to SF, I have finally found my go-to hotel. Couldn't be more pleased!

I thought I was in Korea with the rock hard bed I slept on. Overall, great location for a shopper and someone who wants to walk to Bart or great places to eat. Parking is ridiculas so if you can find a cheaper place to house your car, otherwise its $50 a night.

Clean well maintained rooms, good hotel bar with a decent restaurant. Great location in Union Square near Bart station, restaurants and bars. Short ride (or a nice walk) to just about any attraction.

This hotel is in a great location - near public transportation and lots of shopping. We found the room very comfortable and were quite pleased with the service, staff and room during our stay.

We were told by the front desk that the hotel was recently renovated and it looked amazing inside. Very sleek and modern. The front desk was very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and our room had a gorgeous view of the city on the 18th floor. The hotel is literally across the street from the best shopping in the city. I love the hotel and recommend it to anyone in SF for or leisure. The price was very reasonable based on what we got.

Our only problem was that it was difficult to get a concierge or hotel assistant on the phone when we tried calling from our room. We had to walk down to the front desk to request information. One night, we had a particularly rowdy group of people staying in the room next to us - my husband had to walk down to the front desk at 2am because no operator or front desk worker picked up the phone. However, someone was at the front desk when he went down, and the problem of noisy neighbors was rectified instantly. Otherwise, the hotel was wonderful. Clean, comfy, and perfectly located in Union Square (walking distance to BART, MUNI, shops, etc.)

Great location and large, comfortable room. Only problem was an irritating TV system.

My wife and I just had a nice stay at Parc 55. The remodeled rooms with a view are very nice. The staff was friendly and everything went smooth.

Such nice hotel right in downtown SF. But the parking was ridiculous. I stayed 1 night and the charge to park my car in their garage $50!!

the add stated that there was parking at the hotel but there was only valet parking for fifty dollar, i was not happy with that but the room was nice

The Parc Fifty Five Hotel was overall, a very nice hotel. The staff was very courteous and helpful with all our tourist questions. The building was impeccably clean. The location was very convenient with the cable car station only one block away. We were upgraded to a 26th floor room with a view of the water during the day, and the beautiful skyline at night. The room was very modernized with a digital central-air style climate control...no bathroom exhaust fan. This ended up being a slight drawback, as the noise from the Saturday downtown nightlife echoing off the buildings, reminded me of a kids playground. Also, parking was a C note for two days, and caught us offguard, even though this is typical for downtown SF.

Went on a Girlfriend Trip to San Francisco. We spent weeks in advance picking a hotel room. Parc Fifty Five met all of our requirements: -Location -Price The added perks was that the hotel was very nice and stylish. The restaurant within the hotel was very delicious. And overall a good trip!

I found the location to be fantastic, but the hotel itself was less than desirable :(

I think you should specify on your website that you have to pay 50 dollars for parking. The same amount that a non hotel guest has to pay. I think that is ridiculous and that the hotel guest should at the very least get a discount. Plus the valet guy was rude.

I was excited at the 50% off rate I received from hotels.com, but upon entering my room my heart dropped. The wallpaper was ugly, the ceiling had sloppy patchwork done with poorly matching paint, the wallpaper in the bathroom was even worse. The phones are ugly, yellowish with age, and clearly not from the past decade, they buzz and crackle and are generally useless. The TV is large, but many of the channels come in fuzzy or not at all. The bed is a whole different story; I don't think I've ever slept in a less comfortable bed. It is so beyond firm that it literally feels like sleeping on a floor. They also have a lot of nerve charging $12 per day for the internet as it is painfully slow and disconnects often, as well as $45 per night for valet parking when they take 20 minutes to get your car. There were some positives. Being in a club room you do get access to a free breakfast in the club lounge. The breakfast was not spectacular but it was fresh and tasty. The restaurant on the second floor has a very good tenderloin, and the prices aren't terribly high. The staff is nice, the lobby is nice, and the location is great if you're here to shop. Other than that there isn't much else good to say about the place. I would not recommend it for a stay of more than a night, and only if you get a really good rate.

Fabulous hotel....clean, comfortable and welcoming. Easy access to BART and steps away from the cable cars on Powell St. Staff was helpful and I would definitely recommend a stay there.

Since the Bay Bridge was closed, we decided to look for a hotel in the city and found a great deal at this hotel. We stayed her on Halloween weekend. The location was close to everything...food, shopping, nightlife, movies, public transportation and more. The hotel entrance and lobby area is very spacious and the room was nicely organized. I would definitely stay here again even though I only live on the other side of the bay bridge. I felt like I was on vacation staying here.

Centrally located within easy walking distance to the union square shops and restaurants. Fantastic service, clean, and comfortable rooms.

Hotel is in an excellent location. Walking distance from food, entertainment and shopping. Short walk from China Town. Hotel interior was nicely designed and decorated. Will stay again.

The hotel was very nice, great location, walking distance to many things. Staff was extremely friendly, professional and helpful. Our only complaint is you do hear the traffic and street noise even though we were on the 19th floor. Good value for the money in San Francisco
