El hotel tiene muy buen tamaño en las habitaciones y en los closets, el personal es muy muy atento, quedé muy agusto con el hotel!

In today's world of budget cuts and penny pinching, it is refreshing to see a hotel that maintains its integrity of service. A superbly well rounded upscale product, complimented by sincere good service. My hat is off to this oasis of elegance in this dessert of corporate, executive properties.

Location is perfect, oldfashined but in good shape! Parking cost (USD 24,00 per night) expensive. But my overall experience was very good!

El Hotel Adolphus es un hotel con personalidad y elegancia, aunque un poco anticuado. El personal es muy amable, pero las habitaciones podrían ser más modernos, sobre todo los cuartos de baño. Está bien situado en Downtown Dallas y se puede llegar andando a varias atracciones de la cuidad.

El hotel en si no tiene mala pinta al verlo. Pero lo malo empieza cuando te topas con algunos empleados que no tienen la preparación, a mi juicio necesaria, para trabajar en un supuesto hotel de 4 estrellas. La recepcionista solo hablaba inglés, algo que en España es impensable que una recepcionista sepa solo español en un hotel de esa categoría; aparte […] de esto no debía haber visto una reserva de hoteles.com en su vida ya que no paraba de darle vueltas a la reserva sin saber que hacer, la lleve en español pero los campos importantes vienen en inglés y ella no se aclaraba. Dicha señorita llamo al encargado que, creyendo que no hablo inglés, hizo un comentario algo desafortunado en lo que a los españoles/hispanos se refiere: "estos hispanos que vienen aqui con sus reservas baratas, (risas con la recepcionista)... no se si me estaran entendiendo (mas risas)" dijo el buen hombre, eso sí después hacía genuflexiones y daba las gracias... Aun así debo reconocer que el resto de trabajadores del hotel se portaron de forma excelente. En lo que a la habitación se refiere: era imposible usar agua fría, ya que solo salía caliente abrieras el grifo que abrieras, añadir que el tirador del retrete se atascaba dejando caer cantidades ingentes de agua y que el minibar estaba cerrado a cal y canto. Para colmo ponen geles de baño para una persona al igual que un único albornoz, en una habitación doble, y si se gasta, como es normal ya que con los botecitos que ponen no da para 2 personas, no lo reponen... Vamos que recomiendo a cualquiera que busque otro hotel ya que si dicen tener 4 estrellas por lo menos que realmente las merezcan. Leer más

Conserva rasgos del señorío que tuvo, un hall magnífico, un bar que muestra la clase que tuvo el hotel, pero sobresale The French Room, su restaurante principal, con una magnifica decoración clásica francesa, además de su magnífica cocina (5 estrellas). Mal por la extraordinariamente ecléctica mezcla de muebles que hacen en el Looby principal y en el […] bar, la que desluce y contrasta groseramente con las magníficas maderas de sus paredes, sus muebles, sus pinturas originales de época y sus bronces. Our room didn't have towels. Or shampoo. The bathroom was a joke. Most of the decor clashed. The bathroom lampshades were burnt through. Not at all attractive. The Magnolia runs about the same price, is right next door, and is far nicer inside.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The personal were very nice, the rooms clean and comfortable. I shall also add that the room service was great and the food exquisite. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.

Unexpected elegance and style permeate every part of the experience at the Adolphi from the staff, to theceell opportioned room . Special mention to the French Room restaurant- for its menu staff and ambience- it deserves each of it 5 diamonds!

Everything was great the entire stay, every single person with a uniform on in this hotel was so helpful, the rooms were clean with fully loaded towls and everything that was needed.

We love staying at the Adolphus. It is like stepping into Europe. The rooms have been restyled and they are lovely. They need a bit more light and the AC did not cool down at night as much as we would have liked. The restaurants in the hotel are fabulous. We would definitely stay at the Adolphus again in the future.

I thought the hotel was dark. The room we stayed in we could see out of the window because of water damage. We couldn't eat a meal in the dining area, we had to eat down in the bar area. There was no pool or hot tub to be able to get into and enjoy ourselves and unwind from our trip. I expected more the amount of money we spent each night. It was Magical! We sat by the Christmas tree in the main lobby and felt wonderful. Enjoy!

When I pulled up to unload my luggage, instantly there was a concierge waiting for me to assist. This young man was warm, friendly and had a great attitude and pride in his work. The desk clerk was also warm, friendly and proud of her position as she helped me check in. My luggage was taken up to my beautiful exquiste and lavishing room where everything […] was gorgeous. The view of downtown was marvelous. I could not have asked for anything better. My boyfriend was elated that he had a dream come true on his special birthday. Travel back in time and enjoy the charm of the Adolphus Lobby and Public Areas - beautifully decorated during the Xmas/New Year period. The only issue was the pillows were too soft, making our necks very sore, other than that, it is an amazing stay, perfect to where & what we needed to get to. The Hotel is Georgous & So Much History. I have stayed at this hotel before and loved it, however, I did not have the same experience this time. Room service was horrible, we had to walk down to get our own ice after waiting for 1 hour and calling 4 times. I had reserved a one bed king, however when I arrived they did not have any avaialbe and put my guest and I in a business room with 2 small […] beds. Not happy with set up of room and comfort. Wanted to stay here with my wife on NYE. I thought it would be great, but they were COMPLETELY unprepared for the onslaught of people arriving. We had to try 3 separate times to get checked in. When the room was finally ready, we arrived to find that there was someone else's undergarments still hanging on the bathroom rack. The room itself did not […] seem 4 star AT ALL. It was very average. I would call it a 3.25 star hotel. In the morning, when I needed to leave for a gig, it took them a full 30 minutes to find my car. At 6am. With no one else around. We stayed at the Adolphus in the quiet period immediately following Christmas. We were immediately impressed with its stately grandeur and central location. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and the price was satisfactory. We did not avail ourselves of any hotel meals, so cannot comment on the quality of food. All in all, a very good experience.

Four Stars? Hardly!! Room was large but showed aging; chipped furniture, ugly furniture and fabrics, frayed carpet, fabric coming off inside of the armoire. beautiful old hotel full of charm. However housekeeping was not acceptable with towels not being available. One day ,even after two calls we never received them. This definitely took away from our Dallas experience.

Enjoyed our stay. Staff was extremly helpful and friendly. The only problem was we had full size sheets on a queen size bed, but that was taken care of after a call to housekeeping.

All except housekeeping was exceptional. I only had one towel in the room. I requested more as there were 2 of us, but with each cleaning I was left with only one towel. I suspect this was not a facility policy but a housekeeping issue

We stayed at the Adolphus for a long weekend for our anniversary, and had an absolutely amazing time. The hotel was gorgeous! The historic lobby is stunningly beautiful, and the room was extremely comfortable (except for the too-soft pillows, but that it just our opinion - I'm sure others would find them to be fine). I must recommend room service. […] The food was delicious and it was delivered so quickly I hardly had time to get to the door. The neighborhood is wonderful. It's close to absolutely everything. The hotel cleaning staff pulled a no show on the hotel. This resulted in 4 hour delay for check in times, dirty rooms, zero clean towels. Complete mess. We planned on taking a shower before going out to dinner for new years eve but were unable to do so.

This is the same review my wife put on TripAdvisor abour our recent stay. I'll start by praising the hotel for its old English charm, spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. That's where it ends. We arrived on 31 December to a mass of about 40 people waiting to check in with 4 check-in clerks serving very slowly. It was already 6pm - our room was […] not ready. We were told that someone would call us to notify us that the room was ready. 2 issues: (1) we had an overseas phone and the hotel couldn't contact a non-US phone (2) it was NYE and we had plans at 7pm. In addition, there was nowhere to shower after a long flight and a long night ahead. Thank goodness when we returned to the hotel at 1am they had a room ready for us - but it took an additional 20 minutes to get our luggage from the luggage room. The next day we had to request our room to be serviced at 7pm! This is unacceptable for a hotel of this apparent quality. The room was serviced eventually between 9-11pm while we were out for dinner - amazing. The hotel services book in the room details that you have a complimentary car service within a 5 mile radius. However, when we requested the service 2 days later when we checked out, we were told that the hotel was too empty to provide such a service. Why bother advertising for such a service? Whilst the staff were friendly they all seemed dumbfounded at the lack of housecleaning services... a little strange given all the previous reviews going back at least to July 2011. I do have to mention that we received a $100 credit for food and beverages, which we used on breakfasts and a snack at the adjacent restaurant. Leer más

No clean towels!! It took 3 calls to the front desk and asking for the Mgr. to get 2 bath towels and 2 wash clothes that were not fresh!! YUK!!!

The lobby, bar and French Room Restaurant are second to none. Absolutely "old world" beautiful. Service was exemplary. Minor inconvenience - the room was set up for only one person (one each bath towel, hand towel and robe) and no wash cloths. Dinner in the French Room and room service breakfast were fabulous.

Very nice hotel. Large rooms, nice service. . Walking distance to many things downtown. Very impressed.

Down town location was good. Close to some restaurants.

We have stayed here several times before. This time may have been the last. the room was clean and nice, yet the technology was horrible. We had no on-command TV, and a DVD player that was next to impossible to figure out. We valet parked our car (which was expenisve in itself) and had to wait 25 minutes the first night, and 35 minutes the day we left. […] They do not offer "call-ahead" valet service. For the high valet fee, there is no excuse to wait that long for a vehicle. There are too many options in Dallas. The Adolphus needs to improve for us too come back. Leer más

What a shame that this beautiful old hotel in the great city of Dallas is so poorly managed. While the building is well maintained, the attitude of the staff and the poor response to complaints were horrific. The cleanliness of the room was poor at best, and no one seemed to care. The mandatory valet parking was amazingly poor with it often taking over […] 20 minutes for our car to be retrieved and delivered. When we complained all we got were excuses of how busy they were and how many people had checked in. Several times other guests that came out after us had their car delivered first; many other guests were complaining of the slowness of the delivery. They seemed to have plenty of time to stand around and chat, but we and others had to pay the price of their slowness. It seemed like a very poorly organized activity. Our room was very spacious but was nothing special when it came to amenities. There were barely enough towels for my wife and me, there was only one robe and there was a charge for everything. The floor in the bath room was dirty and the bathtub was in poor condition. The table and phone were dirty. The inside of the window in our room was noticeably dirty. The hair dryer was hidden in the closet. The most disturbing issue though was the staff and their lack of concern for customer service. When we arrived back at our room after being out all day, our eletronic keys did not work. When we called from the phone on the 12th floor the response we got was "you have to come down stairs". No apology or offer of any service. When we got down stairs of course there was a line at the check in counter and after a few minutes we were told to step up and a clerk would help us. The clerk was excellent at ignoring people. When we arrived at our room on the second afternoon, we found it had not been cleaned. When we called to inquire why we were told that they clean all day. Hotel is an amazing property. NYE weekend was a little weird though due to the rave and lights all night in downtown Dallas. They were slammed with guests so service was a little slow but all in all a great place to stay in Dallas anytime.

This hotel let me down on many levels. Checking in took a ridiculous amount of time - only one desk clerk and the line got deeper and deeper. When we got to the room it went downhill from there. There were no towels in the room at all. I had to call twice to get them to bring some to us and one of the shower towels had 2 large rips in it. The complementary […] shampoo was only half full, telling me that someone had used it and it hadn't been replaced. The cushions on two different chairs were very noticably stained. Overall, it wasn't a positive experience. The one good thing was the beds are very comfortable. I had a sound night's sleep after the initial mess. I expected more from a hotel of this caliber.
