Somos una familia de 5 (Matrimonio y tres hijos) El hotel es sumamente conveniente, dos camas matrimoniales y sofá cama adicional en cuarto aparte. Tiene cocina....se puede comer en la habitación lo cual ahorra tiempo y dinero en muchos casos. Esta a 1:15 hs de Squaw Valley algo alejado del centro de Reno pero cercano a los servicios necesarios. (Supermarket, restaurantes, etc) Es nuevo y la gente muy amable. Que lo disfruten....ahhhh tiene pileta cubierta y hot tub....buenísimas..!!

The rooms were great for the price. Our room and bathroom was clean, nice sheets on the bed. The people working there were nice and friendly. Very close to other casinos in the downtown area.

"Sands Hotel"
I love staying at this hotel, even though you have to walk a block to get to the strip. Not only are the rooms cheap but they are so big and comfortable. I love it and will always stay here.

Good simple hotel. The rate was cheap and we only came to go skiing. The room was just as expected. And the other casinos are in walking distance so that you have some entertainment at night.

I know our room wasn't as nice as others were because we had dogs and were on the dog floor, but I've stayed other places in Reno with dogs and the rooms were nicer. Other than that, it was a good hotel.

"Price is right; food is great"
The hotel is a bargain. It's an older venue and some fixtures are a bit worn in the room, but it was clearn, quiet, and comfortable. I was a bit disappointed that the airport shuttle didn't begin until 6:00 am (the time most airlines leave to connect to the east coast.) The buffet was intimate. "Very busy time"
It was a very busy time for the Circus,Circus. I believe they knew the expectancy of number of guests to arrive however there were very limited staff checking people into their room. Then to have to wait for an elevator! Wow! If I'd known how crowded it would be, I would have stayed elsewhere. The hotel rooms are clean and very quiet, the rates are very reasonable and the service has always been good. The only downfall to staying at the Sand's is that if you want wifi in your room you have to pay extra for it, however for a quick trip to Reno when you need to stay somewhere affordable and comfortable it is a good choice.

"dont bring pets!!"
We were on a trip taking my sisters dog down to california for her after she moved. We stayed here becuase they allowed pets and because the last time it was super nice. BUT people who bring pets get automatically put into a cheaper section, the old unrenovated area. It was pretty dated and crappy, I recomend staying in the newer section, and not bringing […] your pets. otherwise go to a cheaper hotel.. Leer más

i was told that the place where i was going was only three blocks away which was not right. also, i was charged $4.00 for city tax and that was not disclosed to me at booking.

"Reno is dying"
We stayed here a few nights ago and it was a totally different Reno from three years ago. The neighborhood was a bit scary at night and the room itself was noisy and the bed was hard with itchy sheets. We both had sore necks the next day. The good thing about it was the location to some great poker tournaments.
"EXTRA Charges"
I was soooo disappointed when I arrived at the check-in desk to find out that they were imposing additional charges which they described as 'local taxes' to my bill. This was in addition to the Hotels.com agreed upon price. Totally uncalled for and deceptive practice!

While the price of this hotel was fairly and it was pet friendly I would highly recommend skipping this if you are just traveling through Reno, not a gambler, and don't enjoy cig smoke. Entire hotel stunk of cig smoke, it even permeated my entire suitcase....I was in a nonsmoking room....also the room was noisy with traffic noise, elevators, and drunks. "Awesome hotel for the price"
We were very pleased with our stay at the Sands Regency in Reno. The price was fantastic. The work-out room was awesome being on the top floor with huge glassed windows overlooking the city, and a great little ski shop connected to the hotel so we could rent skis for a trip to Lake Tahoe.

This hotel and casino is very close to any other casinos. "Best nights sleep in a long time!"
We arrived for a Sunday night stay. We arent gamblers but saw that there were a lot of people enjoying themselves. We thoroughly enjoyed the Prime Rib Buffet in the hotel restaurant and breakfast at Mel's Diner the following morning. The room was clean and the bed provided the best nights sleep we have had in a very long time. The only complaintst I […] had were that there were not enough towels put out in the room for more than 1 person to shower and the ice machine on our floor was not working. The room was actually better than I expected. I don't usually like to stay in hotel/casinos because of the smoke but this room was worth putting up with a little smoke. There was bistro cafe in the hotel that was very good for a lite dinner. "Too noisy"
The room that had been given to us was right next to the elevators, so that's what we heard all night long. It was very hard to get any sleep. There also was no hot water for showers. The best we could get was lukewarm. On a good note, the staff was great.

We had 12 people all stay at this hotel. They got us all on the same floor and we where all very happy with our stay.
"Great rate, but you get what you pay for"
Size of the room and proximity to the other downtown locations were a plus, but that's about all the positives I can give you. Some furniture in the room was missing and the television was from the early 90's. On Day 1our sink was broken and a staff member came up with tools to fix our "shower". Not once did I mention shower when I called in. @ trips […] had to be made. On day 2 our remote control was broken. I called in again as was told that they would send us a new remote. The staff member arrived with "batteries", despite me telling them we tried new batteries on the initial call, which is why they said they would send up a new remote. The language barrier had become more evident. A $100 hold was put on my credit card for room service and it took over a week to get the hold released on my card (by the hotel, not my bank). Finally, the hallways on our floor smelled strongly of marijuana. We got a very good rate online, but in essence we got what we paid for. Leer más
"Clean, Quiet and Cheap"
Loved staying at the Sands, went with hubby and kids. Room was clean, spacious and very inexpensive. Did not care for the customer service at the courtesy desk to get a players card- she was very rude and annoying. Decided not to get a card, however played at the penny slots and had a great time. I would stay there again. \

"Eager maids"
Our first room was located behind the elevators and sounded like a train coming and going. We were given another room after calling without any fuss. Our room was very nice, big and clean. The heater was a bit noisy so we didn't use it. The only negative was the maid tapping on the door early the next morning (before 8am) to clean the room.
