The hotel is located in a quiet but convenient area and the staff are very helpful. The public areas are excellent and the food good. The only small thing lacking was an internet computer for the use of guests. Internet access was available if you had your own computer but this is unlikely if you are an overseas guest on holiday

Comentado por un huésped de Hotels.com el abr 26, 2009.
Great service, great location, excellent full american breakfast with freshly cooked eggs, cold cuts, cheese, etc. Room was big, king bed was huge (but hard), bathroom a bit worn but clean. Overall a good value and we would stay there again.

This hotel lived up to my high standards. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The location was quiet and situated well in connection to many sites. It was convenient to walk to some sites from the hotel and easy access to the metro/bus for sites further away. Something unexpected was that I was given a room with a balcony/patio area. A nice touch to the overall experience. Breakfast was amazing.

sobre value="10""Good for the Money - But Little Comparison"
Comentado por un huésped de Hotels.com el sep 14, 2008.
Our first trip to Rome. Not a big fan of Rome itself - too touristy - but the hotel was decent for the money. The bed was huge, the room much larger than I expected based on other reviews. Shower turns from hot to cold on a dime so watch out! Quiet location except there are topless bars across the street. Stay away from from the rooms by the elevator - sounds like people are moving furniture whenever it is in use. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

We stayed at La Residenza August 2008 and found this hotel to exceed our expectations. It is a small hotel located approx 5-10 minute walk from the Spanish Steps area and metro. It has a fabulous free breakfast set up. I was expecting more along a continental breakfast but they have bacon, meats, cheese, danishes, eggs and the works. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was big for european standards and bathroom was large with heated towel racks. The staff is very friendly and helpful with any suggestions you need. We really loved this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Comentado por Jim & Angela, dePalos Heights, el may 27, 2008
We only have great things to say about this hotel. At check-in, staff was very professional, bordering on impersonal. However, after we engaged them in conversation, they could not be more friendly or helpful. The desk staff took their time in explaing the best times to visit various sites and if any attractions were within walking distance (many are). The room was very clean and we had the largest king-sized bed we ever saw. The breakfast was very good with many choices. Two times during our stay there was a manager's cocktail hour (wine and snacks) that gave guests a chance to get acquainteded with one another or the hotel staff. If the coin in the Trevi Fountain works we will definitely stay at La Residenza again.

What a joy this hotel was in Rome. Just off the Via Veneto with all the pavement cafes and exclusive restaurants, it was tucked away behind a leafy iron gate. Clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and the breakfasts were more than adequate. Lovely outstide terrace for the late night glasses of wine. Cannot wait to go back.

What a clean and comfortable hotel. All the walking around we did in Rome was exhausting and it was nice to come home to a comfortable hotel. The turn down service was an added bonus to a long and tiring day. My husband and I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each morning before we set out on our foot tour.

This is a wonderful and cozy hotel. The staff is friendly and very attentive. We talked to several folks staying there and theyhave been comming to this hotel for years with the same consistancy. The bus and metro are nearby as are several resturants. The breakfasts are wonderful. We traveled with our 14 year old and the staff was equally as caring to her.I would recommend this to anyone.

Comentado por Andrea, deSeattle, el feb 16, 2008
We were a little worried about this hotel because it is at the top of the spanish steps - a little further north of the rest of the tourist attractions. However, it was perfect - a little quieter, near the park, and was a totally manageable 20 minute walk to both Termini train station and the Roman Forum. The service was excellent, the rooms very nice, and the lobby and common areas were lovely. Apparently it was once someone's (very large) house. Also, the breakfast was truly amazing! So much food and it was displayed in such a lovely manner.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The cocktail parties were friendly and inviting. And the breakfasts were delicious. The only reservation I have in recommending this hotel is the neighborhood. Although it felt safe and was clean, there were several Gentleman clubs directly across the street.

The rooms are not amazing but OK and clean. The beds are good and the hallways and breakfast areas are very nice. If you can get a reservation, it's a great location and more quiet than most hotels in Rome. The desk help are especially good and sometimes a bit grumpy. You have to ask for a cord to use the internet. The plug was hard to find on the wall behind the bed next to the telephone jack but it worked perfectly and there was no charge to use it. When I asked on check-in if they had internet I was told no, you have to go to an internet cafe. That was a problem and I thought I had asked before the reservation was made. So I called from the room because we would have checked out of the property without the internet and then the desk person asked me if I had a laptop and when I said yes he said: I have a cord for your laptop. I'm just glad I pushed the issue because 3 days w/o the internet would have been a serious problem for me. I have stayed here for more than 25 years and it's a nice European property that is well cared for, but not that fancy inside the room. It is safe and security at the front door is very good.

Very elegant hotel in area convenient to many sights. The breakfast buffet was very extensive with lots of variety. We stayed in a suite which was large and very well appointed. The best surprise was the manager's cocktail hour which served very nice appetizers and unlimited wine or champaigne. I chose this hotel based on the positve reviews by other guests. I was not disappointed. My only negative comment would be in the description of the room which said that the room had a pull out couch. The extra couch could only sleep one person unlike our sleep sofas which can sleep two people.
