DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia Center City

Didn't get the king bed I asked for, but not the end of the world. It was comfortable. Bathroom was a little dirty, but I am very very critical of such things and it was probably fine for the average person. It was quiet and convenient to the theatere district. Breakfast buffet was nice and the waitress very attentive.

We had a great time at the DoubleTree Hilton. Just wanted to get out of the Poconos and enjoy the city. The hotel has a great location and enjoyed a short walk to the car show.

Overall the hotel has great location and rooms are comfortable. In the particular weekend that I stayed the hotel was full and elevators were a problem, especially on Sunday when my daughter had to come down walking from the 7th floor carrying her heavy stuff. Great location. Two blocks from City Hall on Broad street, right across the street from several theaters. Walking distance to pretty much everything. Request the rooms with the two queens and pull out bed, and you should get one of the corner rooms that overlook Broad street. Will definitely go back again.

ten dollars for wifi? there are cheaper hotels that offer free wifi

Convenient location to catch Subway to Wells Fargo Center.

Bedrooms comfortable, great view of Broad street and city hall. The bathroom ceiling was peeling, neede some work. Great restaurant. Pool was small and was in same room as the jacuzzi so the air was stifling hot. Nice gym and sauna. Great location, can walk to restaurants, theatre and parks in Philly.

We wanted to stay near Rittenhouse Square because of other things we wanted to do, so this hotel was in a great location for walking around. My only complaint was that my husband and I requested a room with one king bed and had to have a room with two double beds (but this is not the end of the world). This was my first time at a DoubleTree by Hilton and it was truly amazing The service was great, the room incredibly clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.

Check-in was a nightmare, we waited in the lobby for three hours waiting to get into our room. For whatever reason, they do not have enough luggage carts so we had to stand in the lobby with our many parcels and bags with nowhere to store them. The staff was very nice but they were clearly overworked and understaffed as the check-in lines were long, […] the lobby was full and there were no available carts or storage for the dozens of people waiting (past the check in time) to get into their rooms. There were no available staff to help with the chaos and instead just a lot of harried front desk people trying their hardest to find rooms. As a result, we were late to our dinner and theatre reservations so all in all, it was a bad trip for us. We'll book elsewhere next time. Leer más

We dont live far from Philadelphia but we like to come and stay a few nights in the city with our kids and visit the museums and the sights. This was the perfect location for our planned activities. We also chose it because it had an indoor pool. The room was ideal because it had two queen beds. Our only disappointment was the indoor pool. Our first […] night there we couldnt even use it as it was freezing. My girls ages 4 and 9 were in the pool for about 5 minutes before they couldnt take it anymore. Our second night the pool was much warmer, but unfortunately was taken over by about 10 kids that had no parental supervision. They were splashing everyone, taking up the entire pool with their horseplay and rude behavior. We chose this hotel because of the indoor pool and it was frustrating that we couldnt use it one night due to the temperature and the second night due to the behavior of the guests (which really isnt the hotels fault). We would stay again as long as I knew the pool temperatures would be better. My kids were disappointed. Leer más

Perfect location for a night downtown. Close to everything and walking distance to the best restaurants, shops and locations in the city. Great cookies.

If you want to be in the heart of the cultural district in Center City Philadelphia, this is the place. Within walking distance of the theaters, shops and several first-class restaurants, this hotel also sits atop a major subway stop that runs straight to the stadium areas, as well. On the other hand, the temperature of the purportedly "heated" pool […] was neglected for a few days in mid-winter, leaving guests nearly to freeze when when using an otherwise welcome amenity. In addition, many of the so-called "free" on-demand programs on the television menu turned out to be anything but. This sort of nickle-and-dime approach to gauging guests is hardly what one would expect from a major downtown venue in a major city. Leer más

We chose to stay here for the indoor pool, but it turned out to be way to cold for swimming. It should be kept at 84 degrees and when the maintenance man checked it was about 10 degrees colder.

Good location, clean room, attentive staff. No reason not to stay there everytime I'm in town

This is a great place to stay. -beds comfortable -great location, close to public translation ~but the food is way to expensive you'll end up eating take out for breakfast lunch and dinner

Very friendly hotel staff, awesome room and beds. The location is fantastic! Will definitely stay again.

Only thing that should be addressed is that from 14 floors up you could hear a lot of street noise

This was a very pleasant trip thanks in large part to a great nights sleep at this hotel. The Sweet Dreams bed linens and pillows and the exquisitely comfortable bed made a good night's sleep easy and refreshing. We needed connecting rooms, and the front desk clerk was very nice about finding the exact configuration of rooms and beds that would work best. Parking was easy. Close to Fogo de Chao.

The condition of the hotel was great. Nice bars in the area, everything was in walking distances. Only disappointment I had was for the amount of money I pay for the room there was no refridgerator. That I just couldnt nderstand but overall very nice place. This hotel is a great location. It is 75 yards to the subway to the Sports Complex in South Philly. It is in walking distance of Old City, including the Liberty Bell qn Constitution and Carpenters Hall. It is within walking distance of LOVE Park and City Hall. Everyt ime we go to Philly, we stay at the Doubletree Center City. It is convenient to everything we do and to some of the city's best restaurants! The mattresses are so comfy, we ordered one for our home!

Front desk hotel staff was kinda rude when I checked in. Everyone looks not happy. Hard to find smiles from this hotel staff. Parking was $25 instead of $12 and breakfast wasn't include. Swimming pool was small but water was warm and clean. Nice and clean guest room but there wasn't a refrigerator we really need. Great location. Very accommodating during the hurricane, but very noisy. Security didn't handle the rowdy guests very well.

Liked this hotel. clean rooms. Kids loved the very small pool and hot tub. Great affordable restaurant on site. Pretty cool lobby - kids enjoyed the changing colors jelly-fish lighting fixtures! Last time here I had stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn on Arch st., Nice hotel, but I prefer the Double Tree Hilton because of location and it's a little newer. However, one complaint, no refrigerators in the room. The food at the Balcony restaurant was great! ( I had the mac n cheese and lasagne) The warm cookie at registration was a nice touch too.

The Doubletree is a very nice hotel in a very convenient location in downtown Philadelphia. The lobby is quite nice, rooms are very clean, updated and comfortable. Also, the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend the Doubletree.

Our only complaint was that the swimming area was not great. There were no steps to get into the pool, only ladders and it was uniformly 4 feet deep, which does not make it ideal for small children, older people, or those with handicaps. Also, the hot tub had some sort of nasty mildew growing on the sides. The room, however was very clean, as was the […] bathroom. The hotel staff was courteous and the view from our room was amazing. I have visited this hotel before and it is top notch from the service, valet parking, warm cookies, cool vibe lobby, incredible views, close to everything in downtown and to public transportation. A must stay if going to Philly!
