If you are staying in Cancun - don't miss the opportunity to stay at this property. We moved there from another 'not to be named' property with whom we were disatisfied. The first thing you will notice when you come in is that EVERY employee will greet you by placing their hand over their heart as if to say 'I'm touched you are here'. It is an emotional connection you feel when you first walk through the door and every time you subsequently walk through. The grounds and facilities are well maintained. The food is excellent, if not a bit pricey. We simply can't say enough good things about it.

The ME by Melia was one of the nicest hotels I hve ever stayed at. The staff was awesome and the building was incredible. The pool and beach areas are very nice. I will definitely be coming back to stay here.

This was the 3rd time i stayed at ME and it was incredible. The best buffet breakfast ever, pool is awesome, service was great, spa staff and gym also excellent. I won;t stay anywhere else in Cancun again.

The hotel is amaaazing! Everything is very clean, in order and the staff is very friendly. The only problem was that their internet did not work for one entire day. They kept telling me to give them three hours and it never got fixed that same day. I had to go to a shopping center to use it. Other than that the hotel is beautiful. There is no beach so if you are expecting to go to the beach at the hotel, it is not going to happen!

I stayed here for an affordable & quick romantic getaway with my boyfriend. We mostly liked ME Cancun, but with some issues. The hotel is beautiful, service is great. Room wasn't so clean upon arrival, which they fixed. Bags arrived half an hour late. CD was playing great lounge/chill music, but had no mp3 docking station for our ipod (as they claim to have). Salt restaurant was great for breakfast, Beach House restaurant was fabulous for lunch by the pool. The big main pool was nice, with good lounge music which added to the serene atmostphere, but the 2 smaller (better) pools are used for "Club Maxim" which they charge for, and play loud thumping house music (which I'm actually a fan of, but only at dance clubs). Friday night we heard thumping music from the hotel club until morning (we were on the 6th floor). But since most of our time was spent by the pool with an amazing view of the ocean, our stay here was pretty enjoyable.

Good value for the money. Stayed in a regular, ocean view room on the third floor. Very well-located (short walk to main shopping area and also to a smaller place with a pharmacy and other quick needs). Service was good, only a slight bit of cool "edge" from the check-in (presumably to keep up the club-like atmosphere) but otherwise everyone else was very helpful and attentive. The lobby is beautiful and so are the rooms. The rooms are also well appointed and comfortable. The pool area is great. Hotel seems a bit confused between being a service-first place and a more club/exclusive vibe and sometimes they try to do both, not really pleasing either group. I would probably say it's best for party/relaxation and less so for families but by no means is it a crazy scene not appropriate for kids. My only other complaint is that the remodel from whatever it was before seems mostly cosmetic and at times you can see this -- hints of shoddy construction over the original. Fine by me but may annoy some. All in all I would recommend the hotel and think it was good value for the money.

My wife and I spent 4 days in Cancun for winter vacation. We had the best time over there. The beach the pool and the hospitality were all awesome. I would greatly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a great time and lots of action going on. Also very conveniently located within 10 minutes of any place you would like to visit on the strip.

Great Hotel! My wife and I stayed at the Hotel this past valentine day(02-14-09) We had a great time, the room was great, eventhough we asked and paid for a king we got twins. Great Hotel, we are planing another trip there this summer with our 18 year old daughter. I have recommend this hotel to all my friends and co-workers.

This hotel isn't going to be for everyone of which I will tell you in a mo. But first the design, layout and ambience of the hotel has had a lot of thought put into it, chilled out music follows you around the hotel as does the smell of flowers. You cannot fault the pool or beach area and the standard of service throughout the hotel impeccable. The rooms are nicely decorated and kept very clean and the bathroom was certainly better than your average hotel... loved the oversized shower head fixed to the ceiling. So all in all this place is amazing. Now on to why it's not right for everyone, this is a trendy hotel, the lower pool has a dj and bongo player on a daily basis and the hotel bar has it's own dj on a Friday, Saturday night. This place is not really for kids or the elderly but it certainly amazing for couples and singles. Only other thing to mention is that yeah it costs a bit to stay here but in my opinion there is no other choice in Cancun that will leave you with such a lasting impression of how hotels should be run. Oh and if you do have some cash spare then go to the hotel spa for a massage. This hotel chain have gained a loyal customer. Enjoy.

This hotel is ideal for a sweet getaway to relax and enjoy the cool atmosphere. Great for a nice relaxing mood. Hotel is amazing and service is great

blew fuse in room, lost water one night, poolside beds and cabanas were additional costs. building shades sunlight over pool after 2pm.

because you really just never know what you are walking into - but I can't say enough good things. The only one thing was the man at the amex desk was a little obnoxious - but everyone who was ME / Melia was amazing great for adults - romantic - very reasonably priced, good food! I am most certainly returning!

The hotel was very nice and has a lot of artsy details to it. There are several pools which are very nice although while I was there the one with fountains in it only had a couple of them running and the others were turned off. The place is very well maintained and very clean.

ME by Melia Cancun was a delightful hotel. The atmosphere was chic and relaxing the hotel staff were pleasant and accomodating. There isn't much of a beach although it is a beach front property. But the hotel rebounds nicely with a great pool and lounging area.

The rooms are clean and fairly modern, though lack of bathtub is drawback. Spa is ok, though hydrotherapy a bit of a joke and hot tub never hot. Food is so-so and overpriced; however, the hotel is ideally situated for shopping/restaurants with La Isla, Kukulkan and Flamingo within 5 minutes walk.

What a great experience! Terrific ambiance, awesome location, great service, good food. Geared to the younger crowd and very similar to the experience at the W hotels. Stylish, hip and fun place to be, filled with the see and be seen set. Very well laid out and well run by management. Consistently good level of service by the staff. Great beds outside by the pool and beach you could reserve- very niiice! Free internet cafe in lobby and great fitness center were pleasant surprises! Had a smell-o-rama thing going on, so it was kind of a scented hotel- nice touch, a feast for the senses. Would definitely recommend! Now the bad part- Not exactly a quiet place for relaxation- I love electronic/ techno, but the constant drone of the music in the outdoor areas took away from my vacation experience, although the music in the lobby did vary a lot more. Full of tattooed 20 somethings making out in the pool/ everywhere you went. Cool for me, but if you are over 50 you may wind up hating it. Gorgeous model-type women everywhere, but if you are not super hot, you may wind up feeling out of place. Oh, and the conciege desk was totally useless. Restaurant prices very high- I will definitely come back, but eat off property. Me by Melia rocks, but you better fall into that target demographic, or you'll be regretting your decision to stay here.

I had a 1-inch gap under my door and I could hear everything going on in the hall. My second night there they hosted a wedding until 8 am and there was an extremely LOUD base outside that kept me up ALL night, even with earplugs and pillows. When I asked management for a different room or some kind of compensation, they took my e-mail address and promised they'd get back to me. Of course they never contacted me, and I paid a bunch of money to stay in a hotel where I couldn't sleep! The hotel is attractive when you fist walk in, but the construction is poor and it's very difficult to sleep. And the staff at the front desk were extremely rude.

I think The Me by Melia Cancun is Cancun's answer to a W Hotel. It is trendy with art and music all around. There were photo shoots going on in the lobby and pool with models when I arrived. I traveled alone but my impression is that this is not a great hotel for small children but great for young adults. I loved it and thought the staff was very nice and helpful. Probably my only negative feedback was I thought the spa was somewhat overpriced based on what it featured. But the spa staff was nice and it had some unusual features that made it unique and enjoyable. Like most of the newer and rebuilt hotels in Cancun, this does not have a lot of Mexican feel to it but a more "zen-like" vibe. It was great and I would recommend it to anyone.

My Wife and I stayed there for one week in May, the place is awesome, great fecilities. The pools are out of this world, particularly the Infinity pool. The rooms are quite nice, we got the Ocean View which I personally recommend to book. Since Day 1 the treatment was splendid, they made us feel like we were having another honeymoon. The staff is very Pro, and with a great service orientation, specially at the front desk (Armando). Mention of Honor to their great Concierge: Lucio Aleman. After we checked out, we had forgotten two Maya's Calendar that we bought in Chichen Itza, and Mr. Aleman even got them sent out by courier to my office in Miami ! Thanks for a great and unforgettable week ME Cancun...for sure we will miss those days. Best place @ Cancun !

Beautiful Hotel great location Great service Highly recomend

The first floor of the ME is spectacular. The design and layout of the lobby area is fantastic. You enter the lobby and are greeted by the smell of lemons and other pleasing aromas. The front desk greets you with a glass of champagne and you are escorted to the elevators by two of the friendliest staff members you'll ever meet (two women). The lobby artwork is interesting and helps to create a relaxed mood. However, for me, the hotel took a major nose dive into mediocrity when I arrived into the room. Although the design of the room was very attractive it was not very clean. It was very dusty (I ran my finger across the top of the air conditioner thermostat and a 1" glob of dust became dislodged). The storage space behind the spacious king size bed was similarly dusty. I wrote, "dust me please" in the dust to no avail. Also, there appeared to be gum (or worse) stuck on the tile floor in front of the toilet. Three complaints to the front desk and the "anything is possible" phone line yielded no response. After three days I dusted and cleaned the room and bathroom on my own. Additionally, there were several large chips in the tile floor in the room. Some had been filled but others had not. I became aware of the problem after I cut my toe on one of the chipped areas. My request to repair the floor or change rooms wwnt unanswered. Instead, the hotel covered the chipped areas with a cheap, unattractive yellow floor rug. The tile floors in the hallways are beautiful. However, anyone walking down the hall in hard shoes or speaking loudly sounds like a canon echoing down the hall. It was very disruptive and disturbing when trying to sleep. Security will periodically stop guests and ask if they are residents of the hotel. While I applaud this security effort the system needs to be refined. After a week of picking up and dropping off my car several times a day with the valets (parking is free)I was stopped and asked if I were a guest. I responded yes and attempted to ente

Quality Hotel. High priced but not as much as other upscale hotel in area. If you are looking for a comfortable room and good service I recommend this hotel. Pros: 1)Hotel Service 2) Comfortable bed. 3)Great double headed Shower 4) Close to one of the modern open air malls. 5) Computers were set up Lobby area for web access. Con:1)Resturant and bar prices too high. Plan on eating away from the hotel. Do not eat from the room bar unless you are ready to pay high prices. 2) Hall and elevator areas on each floor level not air condition, a little warm. 3) Although the hotel faces the Ocean; there is not much of sand beach area.4) Hardly no one eats at the hotel or goes to the great pool area, or goes to the bar. I think it is because the bar and food prices are too high. example: Two eggs only,$ 12.00 US Dollars.5) A little noisy between the room and hall.

The ME is a fabulous, romantic, hip hotel on the beach along the Cancun hotel zone that offers exceptional service and amenities. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, with pillows to suite everyone's taste. The European bathroom was a treat with great water pressure. The amenities were absolutely fantastic. Free internet computer centers (there were two of these) 2 lovely pools, a spa, king size hammocks along the decks (very romantic). The breakfast buffet at $24 was expensive but worth every penny. Wonderful selection with very good food. They have a saying at the ME. Remember ME there is no way I will every forget the ME and will stay here whenever I am in Cancun. bbeerbower

Pleasantly surprised by this property, it is very modern and stylish with artowrk and sculture as the main focus. Great pool area with a DJ during the day playing light house and lounge style music- very relaxing. Also lots of cabanas, big outdooor tanning "beds" and umbrellas. Great spa as well, not huge but very good quality and service. Service was great and food wsa very good as well. I think it is a great place for friends to meet up and/or romantic getaways, I like the adult atmosphere. I will be back to this propoerty for sure.

It's like South Beach in Cancun. Great minimalist decor, public sculpture, large rooms, good restaurants and bars. Very nice pools for both adults and children.

Best Vacation I've taken in years. Clean, excellent service, and employees that actually care about you and your stay.

truly exquisite hotel. beautifully decorated and appointed. staff is attentive and knowledgeable. amenities, style and overall quality is above and beyond the very low nightly rate. definitely spring for an ocean view room so you can listen to the waves as you fall asleep. only thing to be cautioned against (which is pretty typical of most hotels) is that drinks are extraordinarily expensive. I live in NYC and the drinks are cheaper here. other than that, everything was perfection. also check out the spa, and after your treatment, make sure you take advantage of the complimentary hydratherapy in the outdoor pool... truly unique!

The decor is contemporary - recently updated. Get the ocean view!

Hotel is new, very cool decor and ambiance with comfortable room. View is spectacular if you face the pool. Our room had pool & ocean view and it was great. No patio but windows open. Bed was very comfy & staff was friendly. Very cool feel & location is good.

Right on a beautiful stretch of beach in Cancun, the ME Melia was simply INCREDIBLE! A new concept from the Spanish company, that takes the W Hotels concept (like NYC) to another level. Starting with a beautiful open lobby with aromatherapy that enhances the experience. Genuinely friendly and attentive staff. Swanky rooms with incredible views of the Lagoon or the beach. Very comfortable beds. Outside a DJ play "house lounge music" to those swimming at the various "infinity" pools and to those enjoying margaritas on the beach-front beds provided by the hotel. The hotel also serves incredible food at their 2 restaurants, one for Mexican cuisine the other Asian "fusion". Late night music and gatherings at the lobby are perfect for the young and young-at-heart to meet and enjoy the company of the people from all over the world. We're definitely going back to ME!

I absolutely loved the ME by Melia Cancun Hotel. The room was cozy and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom and shower were great. The beach was fantastic and the ocean water was clear blue and warm. The pools were perfect. The service on the beach for food and drinks was extremely efficient. There is an internet cafe with eight computers. The most I had to wait for a computer was two minutes. They made it easy to stay in touch with family at home. The food at hotel restaurants was delicious. I usually don't like buffets, but the breakfast buffet was excellent. The food was all fresh and presented beautifully. We ate on the beach for lunch every day. We had dinner one night at the hotel at the restaurant called The Beach House. It was excellent. The hotel is close to many other great restaurants in town. The only thing I was not happy with was the music on the beach. It was tecno which was simply a very loud drum beat for six hours. I don't know if they play this music during other vacation weeks but they played it for four days in a row when we were there. It was disturbing. The people at the front desk lied and said they weren't playing again, only to hear it again they very next day. I know that many people were not happy with the music. I would definitely go back to this hotel but not if I knew that music would be playing while I was there.

Presure from vacation club (time share) agents was way too much. On the other note.. We arrived at the hotel early (plane timing) we understood that check in time was at 3 but we asked if room is ready and we can check in. We were told 30 minutes at about 11AM but after that time we are were told 30 minutes about 7-8 times and finally given our room at 3:30. I hope people were honest and would tell us not to come in before 3PM.

We stayed at the ME, and there is much to love about this hotel. The rooms are beautiful, the front-line staff is wonderful, the food is excellent. This hotel is best for couples for romantic trips--it is not for the "spring break" crowd. The one drawback is that the hotel is still figuring out some management issues. My spouse and I had reserved a king size bed, but when we arrived, we were offered a room with two double beds. It took 45 minutes with the manager to have a room change. Similarly, we had to ask for our meals credit at checkout--it was not automatically granted to us. If you can tolerate these inconveniences, it is a beautiful place to stay.

The hotel was as "un-Cancun" as it gets, which was exactly what we were looking for -- a weekend getaway with sun & beach. The hotel was sleek (think private coffee bar, internet lounge), the food was good (food selection and presentation was more high-end than that typical of hotels), the room was comfortable and modern (think AVEDA products, flat screen TV), and the view from the oceanside rooms was lovely. The hotel location was great too -- a short 20-minute bus ride to downtown; and if you must go to Senor Frogs and the likes, the bus ride is only about 5-10 minutes. The taxi option is convenient and cheap as well (taxis are always available at the hotel, and it's only $13 to downtown). If you want to buy sundries, you can walk to a nearby mall in less than 5 minutes. This place is perfect for professionals between ages 25-50. Downsides: 1) There was construction going on on both sides of the hotel -- the construction isn't for the ME Melia hotel, it is for two separate hotels that are being built/renovated on either side of ME. To be honest with you, this didn't bother us at all since the noise level was pretty minimal. 2) Beware of those darn AMEX travel agents who sit in the lobby - they are relentless pushing tours at ya! 3) The hotels plays soft electronic/trance music by the pool/beach - this didn't bother us because it was uninstrusive, but if you want complete silence, this might be annoying for you. Overall, great hotel. I recommend it. If I were to ever go to Cancun again, I would stay here again.
