Room was small but comfortable, bed was perfect. Nice big shower. I enjoyed my stay

It was like walking into a ultra posh club/restuarant and then being able to go to your room when your done. Really special and gorgeous room. Very roomy for the city. Would reccommend to anyone.

The Royalton is a decent option for accommodation in Midtown. Pretty close to everything you need, with Grand Central and Bryan Park subways within easy walking distance. We stayed for a weekend in Jan 2012 and the hotel condition and room were both fine. It was noisy outside in the street in the early hours of the morning which affected our sleep a little but for two nights we could deal with it., Overall this hotel is OK. The hotel was beautiful. The rooms so clean and modern. The location could not have been better. Definitly a spot near everything. Rooom service was quick and delicious.Definitly recommend to others who want to be within walking distance of just about everything Christmas cool in NYC.

I returned to this hotel having been a regular a few years back. Positives all still there - location, comfortable beds, interesting design, good bar. May be showing its age compared with some newer boutique hotels in NYC

It was the first time I have stayed there and I was not expecting much after having to pull my own luggage up the front steps and navigate a noisy lobby to find registration. However, I ended up very impressed. My room was beautiful and well laid out. Room service dinner came immediately and was delicious. All at a fair price.

Unlike most NYC hotels, the hip Royalton experience continued from the lobby to the actual room. Very functional and spacious with Apple iPad and comfy bed.

The hotel was fantastic. In a great location and our room was extremely quiet. The room was very clean and spacious. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We would choose this hotel again no question.

The hotel is located in an ideal location only a couple of minutes walk away from Times Square and 5th Avenue. The hotel staff are all very friendly and willing to help if required. Definately would recommend the hotel. :D

Great weekend at the Royalton. Location was perfect. Staff were great, they treated you like royalty. Would go back again. Room was spacious and clean.

I had only one problem with the hotel and that is the picture on hotels.com showed a big red door when I arrived there was no big red door there was a big door but it was black other than that it was one of the best hotels I ever stayed at oh one more thing itbwas a bit pricey so be prepared to spend some money (giggles)

The hotel was very good. Nice atmosphere and great location. Unfortunately, the rooms were a bit small and the air condition units were particularly noisy. The lifts were somewhat unreliable. Finally the bar at the hotel is a bit pricey (particularly the beer).

The hotel deserves it's 4 stars. It is very nice, modern, clean and perfectly located in midtown Manhattan. The rooms are very comfortable, and the showers are amazing. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The only issues we had were the elevators being extremely slow, but they did leave a note in the room saying they were working on improving that, […] so that shouldn't be an issue in the future. Also, it would have been nice to have a coffee machine in the room. Most hotels have these and provide complimentary coffee to their guests. Other than those two minor things, the hotel was great. Only one word can describe this hotel immaculate. The hotel was spotless,well-designed and in a great location. The room was extremely well designed and comfortable not to mention clean. The bed was so soft I didn't want to go home the next day. Prob the nicest room I have stayed in period... I mean come one it came with an iPad. The bar at the bottom […] of the hotel was a great place to start an end the night great drinks. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in NY. Ps that I stayed in a suit .... I've stayed at this hotel before and it seems like it is in need of a makeover. It's still a great hotel with a great lobby/bar. However, carpets are fading and it doesn't look as clean and edgy as it used to. Overall though everyone was very friendly at the hotel and it's in a prime location for getting around to some of the major NYC attractions.

Royalton is in a great location with a helpful staff and a warm to hot environment. The room was great very modern seeming brand new. You can walk uptown and around from there with ease.

No major complaints, and room and location were great!

The Royalton greets you with unassuming front door that automatically opens into a cosmopolitan lobby and bar lounge. The staff was helpful and the rooms are nicely appointed. It's quite expensive, but the location in midtown really cannot be beat. Our room, with queen bed was modern and sleek, but with annoying bathroom features, such as no bath, limited […] counter space, a weird place for the facial soap and poor lighting. But the shower was great and spacious. Also, it does annoy me that there is no refrigerator space for your own beverages and that you have to call down for ice and there's no self-serve ice option. My final complaint are the elevators: slow, small and sterile in lighting and design. However, we did enjoy our stay, as the beds were comfortable, the TV and iPad were nice touches and the bar made you feel like you were in a cool NYC locale - which we were. Leer más

Had stayed here many times. Great hotel. Great location. New room color was disappointing (preferred the white before) but room continues to be very nice. Speedy of response from staff, on a couple of quick requests, was less than optimal. But friendliness and overall service were good. Recommend.

Great location. Modern, techy. Do not take comfort room, it includes a "mirror cabinet" which eats the room size not really addid value. Restourant and bar are overpriced. Barkeepers are losing interest to you if you are after a bier only.

The lobby / lounge area is excellent. Always people enjoying the trendy atmosphere. The elevator and hallways are very narrow. The hallway smelled of smoke. My room had a view of a fire escape. The rooms are small, the bed is hard and there is only a shower (no bath). The room was clean and the hotel is very near 5th Avenue shopping and Broadway. Excellent […] location and if you just need a clean, convenient place to sleep while you party...you will love this place! If you are in NYC for business and comfort in your room is as important as location...seek another hotel. Leer más

The Royalton is located in smack-center Manhattan, close to everything. This is my favorite location for a sty in Midtown. The service is excellent and the rooms are very nice.

Very swanky! Perfect for a 15 year wedding anniversary. Might just be a little too cool for us in coming years. Lobby was awesome. Rooms, small but cute--felt a little like a cruise ship. Air condition/heating system loud and sometimes made a loud thumping noise. Central to everything.

We got a great value on Hotels.com. The hotel was very well located, extreamely clean and stocked, and the staff was so outstanding I cant tell you! We would so recommend this hotel!

The hotel is in a great location and is a good value. It's very modern, with an iPad in every room. The entire first floor is a bar/lounge area with fireplaces and couches. Very nice. Rooms are smallish, which is typical for NYC. The biggest negative is the low lighting in the bathroom.

We always love staying in this area. Had been to the bar many times, but never stayed at the hotel. The rooms are beautifully designed, bathroom terrific with great mirrors and shower. Would definately stay here again.

We stayed for business but location is fantastic for tourists. Our quiet room was very spacious and filled with latest technology. Only complaint was the lighting in the bathroom -- not good for ladies applying make up unless they are dressing for a night out in a dim setting.Oh but I also think you shouldn't have to pay an additional fee for internet […] connection - but here you do. The fitness center is adequate but not special. The lobby bar is a fun place for a cocktail. Check out was a little bit hard as there are only two stations and both were busy as we left. The Royalton is on Wesgt 44th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues, a street filled with small, characterful luxury hotels. It is diagonally opposite the famous Algonquin Hotel, and just two blocks from Times Square attractions, the subway and Grand Central Terminal. The lobby is […] long dark and narrow and during winter has a very cool jet-flame fireplace dividing one half of the area and keeping guests warm who, most of them, it must be said, pride themselves on being cool. Everyone on the staff was fabulous and very helpful. The restaurant staff, front desk staff and the front desk staff were all great. I would stay here again in a minute. Great location. It was just a great time.

There was no ability to get any food on arrival, there was a complete lack of initiative or service offering that one should expect from any hotel, let alone a hotel of the reputed quality and reputation of The Royalton; a 4-star hotel in the heart of New York. The experience was a poor one all round. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone nor would […] I stay here ever again. We choose our hotels based on comfort, quality of service and friendliness or staff. We pay good money in the hope that we at least get partially satisfied against this criteria. Spectacular! This hotel is hip, trendy, and the epitome of a boutique hotel in NYC. The level of friendliness and accommodation from the staff is exceptional and I would recommend this hotel any day of week. The lobby turns into a club at night (starts getting club-like at 5:00), complete with very loud music, lots of beautiful people, and flowing drinks […] throughout, so be preparred for that. If you're looking for a traditional bright and quiet lobby with people sporadically scattered, this is not it. This is a true NYC hot spot! The location is perfectly convenient to everything in Midtown, you can walk everywhere! But leave the kids at home when you come to this hotel, it's designed for adults who are looking for the quintessential NYC experience! Leer más

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby is decorated very nicely and has a fun fashion forward vibe to it. Don't order a beer at the bar unless you're on a company tab, though, because they're $10 or more each!

There is so little I'd be able to complain about here. Room was wonderful. Bathroom great, and bed was super comfortable. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. A big thank you to the people at the Royalton for making our stay in NYC so pleasant!

This was a great place to stay. comfortable, quiet room.. Very helpful/friendly staff. We found the hotel on hotels.com and it exceeded our expectations for the price and location.

A very stylish and welcomingly unusual hotel. We had a loft suite which was spacious and very comfortable. We didn't eat at the hotel as there were many excellent restaurants close and less expensive. Well positioned in Mid town near to Times Square.
